You may have noticed some changes around here. These came as a result of a long and painful weekend for ZEJ, culminating in us losing a core active member and two others. Yep, you all read right. Mentions now not only support autocompleting the user you're mentioning, but are also selectable from an autocomplete list. To do this, simply type an @ symbol like before, followed by the start of any username on this forum, and the system will start searching for any user starting with the first letter you typed.

Hey all you ZEJians.

We (as a staff body) have convened over the past couple of days in order to start ushering in a wind of change. The first step towards doing that, however, is sweeping up the dust and doing some cleaning.

As you may have noticed over the span of last night and today, there have been a few changes to the forum layout and some colour changes too! These are just the first steps in cleaning out the house, which means that soon we will be able to start kicking things...

The forum will now once again alert you if you've been mentioned in a post. Unfortunately, to do this, I had to remove profile comments, as there was a conflict. However, DVZ notified me through PM that he'll be releasing a fix for the issue soon, so profile comments will eventually be reinstated.

You might have noticed a little alerts link hanging out in the header between your user menu and the logout link. This happened because as recently as three days ago, Euan released a stable version of MyAlerts for MyBB 1.8.

Their scope is fairly limited right now as I'm not sure which of our plugins support the new version, but at a base level, alerts are back!

A while back I installed MyBB publisher so we could publish new posts to Twitter, Facebook, what have you, but I didn't actually set it up completely (was lacking consumer/application keys). That's changed. As of today, you can follow our Twitter bot at @ZEJLiveTweets and receive news and updates related to the upcoming Statistical Roleplaying Tournament as well as Interest Checks straight to your Twitter feed!

By that I mean I finally got off my ass and updated to the latest version of MyBB!

You may notice there's a new theme. This is staying, albeit with some aesthetic updates somewhere down the line; the old set would have been too much work for me to update as a lot of stuff in them broke. More than likely going to move the header back to the left where it belongs.

We are also running a limited subset of plugins compared to the MyBB 1.6 days. Some are no longer maintained...
