Pokémon Sun Version and Moon Version

Discussion in 'Miscellaneous Conjectures' started by Lord X-Giga-X, Jul 18, 2015.

  1. that's okay litten probably thinks the same of you

    #TeamLitten #TeamSpaceBat

  2. Thanks guys, I love you too, haha, you're so sweet.
I will also probably go with Moon because I like the moon more than the sun. (But I do think that Solgaleo actually has the better design, Lunaala looks weird to me?)

Hilariously I always go with water (Minus Johto— I picked Cyndaquil there) but I was also the asshole to pick Fennekin. In my brother's opinion, the entire Kalos generation was just badly designed.

Tbh though I'd probably have to see the evolution's before I really pick a favorite starter, y'know?
  3. I'm also inclined to pick up Moon, but I'd take one for individuality's sake and nab Sun if the majority still leans this far towards Moon upon release. I actually am ending up quite liking Popplio's design; it's clear that it's just one heck of a clown, so maybe it'll suit me, anywho.

And to Krista's credit, here's @Zantok's assessment on the legendaries:
[5/10/2016 10:45:28 AM] Lister Potter III: Also, the lion legendary looks like a Pyroar fucked Arceus
[5/10/2016 10:45:35 AM] Lister Potter III: and the bat legendary looks like a Zubat fucked Olympia

  5. Glad to know that someone here understands
  6. Wow! A fire-type cat. We've never had a felid with flamey stuff on it before. This is really new ground for Pokemon.

I think I might be... over Pokemon??? Can that be a thing??
  7. I'm more or less "over" the games, but I still really like Pokemon as a whole.
  8. Starter final evolution types leaked

  9. Wow, wasn't expecting that to actually be a thing... Although here's something I don't get...

1 is Grass, and 2 is Flying, matching up with Rowlet's typing. And 5's Water, and 6's Fighting, matching up with the supposed typing of Popplio's final evolution... Though if that's the case, why is 3 Ground and 4 Fire? Shouldn't it be the other way around? Hmm.... Maybe they're just being weird. idk
  10. tbh the order of types with dual-typed Pokemon is pretty fucking arbitrary anyway
  11. Yeah, but even then, it seems a bit weird to break the usual order with the starters. I really only picked up on this after reading pokejungle's article on this, and even he noted the order of the icons, and provided the idea of the ground type actually applying to Rowlet's final evolution. A bit strange when you consider the fact that it's an owl, but then there's the fact that burrowing owls exist. So based off this thought, it's possible that Rowlet itself is based off a burrowing owl, and that's the direction it's headed.

Or like I said in my edit, maybe they're just being weird. We'll just have to see.
  12. They've broken the mold before. Interesting theory though.
  13. The Japanese Pokemon Twitter revealed that we'll be getting new information on June 2nd at 9:00 EDT.
  14. The time has come for new info.... So here's the trailer. I'll be adding info in a bit.

So first off, we have the Legendaries:

Solgaleo the Sunne Pokemon is Psychic/Steel (o__O) with the abilitiy Full Metal Body, a new ability that keeps its stats from being lowered. It learns a new move, Sunsteel Strike, an attack that ignores the target's ability.

Lunala the Moone Pokemon is Psychic/Ghost with the ability Shadow Shield, with allows it to take less damage from attacks when it is at full HP. Learns the new move Moongeist Beam, another attack that ignores the target's ability.

There is a Rotom in your PokeDex for some reason... Oookay... Though on that note, it looks like we can scan QR codes to register Pokemon in our PokeDexes.
And in a video on the Japanese site, the PokeDex at one point lists the Alola PokeDex and the MeleMele PokeDex. It's likely listing a separate PokeDex for every island, similarly to how the Kalos PokeDex was divided based on sections of the region. Or maybe something else. I don't know.

In the region of Alola, we have Kukui as our professor, with a mysterious assistant named Lillie.

And we have Hau as our friend/rival/whatever.

And to end things off, here's our protagonists with what appears to be the important device to unleash things:

    And here's our region map:

So this is all we got from this info dump. HOWEVER, Pokemon Sun and Moon will be featured on Nintendo Treehouse Live @ E3, which may be a hint that this is not all we're getting this month.
  15. Sooo... we're in Hawaii?
  16. Are we surfing everywhere?
  17. Zio, we've *known* we're in Hawaii.

Aww, I wanted Space Bat to be Dark/Fairy. Psychic/Ghost is cool too though.
  18. Oh boy I smell lots of surfing in the coming months after I get this game.
  19. That magical time of the month has come once again despite the infodump a while back. And this time, we actually have new things. Can you believe it? Actual. New. Things!

*ahem* Anyway, we have two additional Pokemon.

First off, we have Nekkoala, the Half Awake Pokemon. It is a Normal-type, and comes with a new ability, Definite Sleep, which keeps it from being inflicted with any status ailment other than Sleep.

Next, we have that dog from a couple of trailers ago: Iwanko, the Puppy Pokemon. Oddly enough, it's a Rock-type... mkay. Has either Keen Eye or Vital Spirit for its ability.

In addition, it turns out there will be a Magearna movie event... sorta. It's a QR code you scan to get one. But we got a bit more detail on it. It has the new ability Soul Heart, and a new move Fleur Cannon. This particular one will be at Lv 50, and will also have the moves Flash Cannon, Lucky Chant, and Helping Hand.
  20. Holy shit Nekkoala and Iwanko are unimaginably cute.
