Pokémon Ω-Ruby and Α-Sapphire

The pointless worrying over lack of secret bases can finally end, as they have been confirmed.

Returning as Super-Secret Bases, they are found through the previous method of using Secret Power in certain places in Hoenn. They can be shared via Streetpass and QR Codes. And the owners of other secret bases can be invited back to yours as Secret Pals, whom you can interact and battle with. These Secret Pals also have special skills to support you on your adventure, such as making eggs hatch faster, sharing decorations, or levelling up one of your Pokemon. So make an attempt to get as many Secret Pals as you can.
And while visiting other people's secret bases, you can capture their flags located next to their PCs (because it totally makes sense to put it there). Make an attempt to do this often, as doing so grants you rewards such as improving the skills of your Secret Pals.

And to help you create the best secret base ever (I think) is this guy:

Secret Base Expert Aarune, who apparently has a Flygon whom he travels the world with!

CoroCoro leak has begun once again.

And the first scan we have revealed the Mega Evolution that we all predicted would happen:


Mega Metagross.
No information on it yet, but the leak has just begun, so we'll get what we need on it soon enough.

There also appears to be new Pokemon capable of being found in Hoenn.

EDIT (2): Well, it actually is Sidney. A new scan popped up. But unfortunately...

It's a bit too blurry to read. Though at least you can see artwork of the Gym Leaders and Sindey.... sorta...

 

A couple of more scans have popped up.

First off, if you paid any attention to the blurry scan with the artwork for the gym leaders, you probably could see Brawly's hair on the bottom edge of the image. Well, here he is:

There's also this scan featuring the new Hoenn Pokedex, which looks like a Gameboy Advance now. Awesome.
And if you're wondering what that is on the top half, that is... Madame Pikachu.... Yeeeeeeaaaah, this is A Thing.... We probably should all run for our lives.

On another note, we have Birch's new artwork, a bit going over the recently revealed Super Secret Bases, and Pokemon Amie returning from XY.

Also, Phoebe has a Dusknoir now.... Oh boy....


EDIT (3): So it turned out that Mega Diancie's ability is Magic Bounce. So them keeping it a secret was completely pointless!
Also, next issue appears to be a "Mega Evolution Scoop", so we're probably gonna get a ton of new Mega Evolutions next month. This sounds exciting and all...

But what about Mega Metagross? Where's a clear scan with info on it when you need one?

 

The official sites have updated with all of the information revealed these past few days.



As people have guessed, Mega Metagross has Tough Claws as its ability. It also gains a major boost in Speed, along with boosts in its other stats.

As for Mega Diancie, it gains a boost in Attack, Sp Atk, and Speed, but its Defense and Sp Def take a drop.


On the previous topic of Mega Metagross, Steven is once again the Champion of Hoenn. Sorry, Wallace.... Actually wait, I think this means Juan is gone. XD


As for the Pikachu Cosplaying Quintet.... Yeah, they're still being quiet about them until next month. Either way, we have Pikachu Rock Star, Pikachu Belle, Pikachu PH. D, Pikachu Libre, and Pikachu Pop Star. (Also, they actually do use the term "cosplay" for this.)

Nothing we don't know already (although I may have left out that gym-making part), but they have Fortree City's theme playing, so... yeah!

 

It's that time again!


Three new Megas have been revealed so far.


First off, we have Mega Altaria, who goes from Dragon/Flying to Dragon/Fairy and gains the ability Pixilate.


Next off, Mega Lopunny, Normal/Fighting with the ability Scrappy.



And Mega Salamence. It's typing stays the same, but it gains the ability Aerilate.



On the note of Contests, we have an ido named Lucia who will give you special clothes for participating in them.



Also, there's a bit more to the Pikachu quintet revealed in the last issue. When you change Pikachu's clothes for contests, it gain new moves. Pikachu Rock Star gets Meteor Mash, Pikachu Ph. D. gets Electric Terrain, Pikachu Pop Star gets Draining Kiss, Pikachu Belle gets Icicle Crash, and Pikachu Lirbe gets Flying Press.



Going back up to the 4th page posted here, you may have noticed a shiny Beldum. That's related to an event for said Pokemon, which holds its Mega Stone.

Good news: During contests, when the Excite Meter is full, you can Mega Evolve.
Bad news: Feebas has gone back to its old method of evolution, raising its Beauty to the max.
Annoying news: This is my second attempt in editing this in, as the first time, ZEJ decided to be inconvenient.

 

The official US site has updated with the new information, and revealing a bit more in the process.


The contests in Hoenn are now known as Pokemon Contests Spectaculars. Despite the name change, they pretty much work the same as they initially did. Only we have Contest Idol Lisia helping you out with this.... I think.... You can also take pictures of your favorite contest moments.
On a related note, it turns out that the Cosplay Pikachu is a completely different Pikachu, and you get it after participating in your first contest. As expected, Cosplay Pikachu is the only Pokemon that can be dressed up for contests. Fucking special mouse need to be more special...


Mega Altaria gains boosts in Attack, Defense, and Sp Atk. Mega Salamance gains a boost in Defense. Mega Lopunny gains boosts in Attack and Speed.

The shiny Beldum will be available over the Nintendo Network starting the day of release.

Hordes make a return from XY and appear in these games. However, unlike in XY, these games feature horde trainer battles.

Well what do you know? The Korean site for the games accidentally revealed two new Mega Evolutions. Good job, guys!
Anyway, Mega Slowbro and Mega Audino.



Mega Slowbro remains Water/Psychic, and has the ability Shell Armor. It gains boost in Defense and Sp Atk.
Mega Audino becomes Normal/Fairy, and has the ability Healer. It gains boosts in Defense and Sp Def.

 

Well look on the bright side. We still have three more issues of CoroCoro before the games are released. If they continue the trend of revealing at least 1 Mega Evolution per issue, then we're most likely going to see it before the release.

Then again, given things, next issue may just be these two Mega Evolutions. Given things, they probably were meant to have been revealed next issue anyway.
Or maybe this is what was meant to be revealed at Gamescom! (Ooops, forgot to mention: Masuda will have a video message at Gamescom in a few days.)

 

Wow, I was actually half right. Junichi Masuda's video message at Gamescom revealed Mega Audino.
