Pokémon Ω-Ruby and Α-Sapphire

Discussion in 'Miscellaneous Conjectures' started by Lord X-Giga-X, May 7, 2014.

  1. lol I already have a shiny milotic

  2. well now you can get another one :p

Meanwhile, I'm gonna play through Alpha Sapphire for a bit. Gotta continue the adventures of Stan and his intrepid sidekick, Fallen.

  3. So apparently, showing Volcanion to a dude in TV Mauville activates A Thing where you can "watch" specials about the Pokemon. They're kind of informative, but the more interesting part of it is that an explorer named Brandon is also featured in these.

    Explorer.
    Brandon.
    Pyramid King?

Unforunately, all that's actually shown is a black screen and text. Though given the context, it's most likely our favorite Pyramid King Brandon out looking for Volcanion, and coming across it in various regions.

  4. Hah, I was a day off from my joke prediction! I actually just got the Eon Ticket.

  5. I got it yesterday, oddly.

Not legitimately, of course, but hey.

    I also got a Soul Dew~

  6. ... Wow wtf....

Going through the Secret Bases I have in my game, I literally just noticed that I have one where someone set note mats in their pathway to play the Super Mario Bros theme. Can't believe it took me this long to notice, considering how long I've had this base. It's awesome, nonetheless.

  7. Alright, a bit of news.

First off, the demo is now available to the public without the need for a code. Which is entirely pointless, seeing how all of us should have it by now, and the Mega Stones are in the full version anyway.

Next, serial codes for Unova Starters with their hidden ability will be made available. The code for Serperior has been revealed in a recent Pokémon Get☆TV episode, but is not redeemable until January 9th. Emboar's will be revealed in an upcoming episode of Pokémon Get☆TV, and Samurott's will be revealed in the upcoming issue of CoroCoro. Both of these will be redeemable starting January 16th. Each of these codes are said to be shared, meaning they can be used on multiple games. However, these codes also come from sources in Japan, so they probably won't work for places outside of said country.

Serebii has created a new page in his ORAS section for Special Secret Bases, which also include their QR codes. Check them out here: http://serebii.net/omegarubyalphasapphire/specialbases.shtml

EDIT: Newly updated base with different message:

  8. Yeah, from what I can gather, I don't think the code works outside of Japan. On the plus side, GTS is full of Contrary Snivy. Snatch one up while you still have a chance.

I already traded for one. Cost me an Accelgor, but got a shiny 4IV, so it was worth it.

EDIT: Meanwhile on Secret Base Songs, I found a base in which someone laid out note mats to play Jingle Bells!

  9. So it's that time of the year when new Pokemon are typically revealed in CoroCoro. With that in mind, it's a certain ring-throwing troublemaker's turn to be officially revealed:
That's right, it's Hoopa! The Mythical Pokemon responsible for sending so many Legendary Pokemon to Hoenn. It is to star in the upcoming Pokemon movie, which means it will eventually be obtainable.

Also revealed was the serial code used to get Hidden Ability Samurott, which won't be redeemable until the 16th. Emboar's code will be revealed in tomorrow's Pokémon Get☆TV and also won't be redeemable until the 16th.

  10. Whoa, I guess I was wrong there. Europe and Australia are now able to use the serial code Japan got for Contrary Serperior. Is it a sign that the US may be able to use it and the other codes as well?

For future reference, the three codes are POKEMON497, POKEMON500, and POKEMON503.

EDIT: Indeed it was. For those in the US who didn't get a Contrary Snivy/Servine/Serperior via GTS, Wonder Trade, random trade, or some short of cheating method, you can use the first code listed above to get one of your own.
EDIT 2:Reckless Emboar and Shell Armor Samaurott will also be available in the US. Emboar's code will be available on the official site on January 29th, while Samurott's will be available in February 5th's Pokemon Club Newsletter. There's probably no point in saying this as they might end up being the same as the two codes above (as is in Serperior's case), though odds are that they may not actually be redeemable until the dates they are to be revealed. I suppose the only way to test it out is to actually try them now, which I'll do once I get home.

  11. You want more Hidden Abilities starters? Well, you've got it! This time, it's the Johto Starters being available through Pokemon Bank. From February 27th to November 30th, if you access Pokemon Bank, you'll receive Leaf Guard Meganium, Flash Fire Typhlosion, and Sheer Force Feraligatr. Like with the previous Celebi event, it is a limit of one each per copy of Pokemon Bank. But because you can just breed these, I guess it doesn't really matter.

SHEER FORCE FERALIGATR AND FLASH FIRE TYPHLOSION THOUGH!

  12. Have you been unable to get the Eon Ticket for whatever reason?

Well then, good news for those in North America! From February 27th to March 2nd, a serial code will be available on the official site to obtain the Eon Ticket. Short period of time, but enough time to get it.
(Obviously, the code won't work if you already have the Eon Ticket, so don't bother with this if you have it.)

  13. The HA Johto Starters Pokemon Bank event and the Eon Ticket serial code event are both active. In the case of the latter, there are two serial codes:
    North America: 2015LATIOSLATIAS
    Europe: POKEMON380381

  14. Pokemon OmegaRuby and AlphaSapphire (and X and Y) have received a new patch. As usual, it's required to update in order to go online, so do so whenever you get the opportunity.

  15. So Hoopa Unbound was officially revealed in CoroCoro and holy fuck, I never realized how terrifying it looks:

  16. Is

Is that a star of david

  17. I... have no idea....

So.... It turns out that there was a concept for a Mega Flygon in the works for this gen. But according to Ken Sugimori in the latest issue of Nintendo Dream, they seemed to have trouble on getting a good design for it.
Well at least they were thinking about it, so hopefully they'll get that straightened out for the next game(s).

  18. Once again, there are new patches for the games (in additon to XY). As usual, it is required that you update in order to go online.

  19. Do those patches fix any of this

  20. Nice to see tweaking is still around in some form, god damn it Game Freak.

Anyway, figured this belonged in here rather than in CS; I completed my first by-ear transcription today, and it's of the Brendan/May emotion theme. Take a listen!
