Pokémon Ω-Ruby and Α-Sapphire

Discussion in 'Miscellaneous Conjectures' started by Lord X-Giga-X, May 7, 2014.

  1. I should say that I really like Mega Glalie's design for some reason.

  2. After playing the ORAS demo today, I can confirm that Mega Glalie is beyond beautiful. <3

  3. Mega Glalie is like an oni mask. I like.

Mega Steelix is quite gorgeous, while seeming a little familiar—like a Fakemon design or something.

  4. I agree, Mega Steelix is familiar to me too. Perhaps it is the fact that it looks like a giant mega stone itself?

  5. So Project Pokemon decided to look through the coding of the recently released demo. Found some... interesting stuff. So interesting that I'm just going to be lazy and link to it. Enjoy.

  6. In case you didn't check out the recent article on PokeBeach, what was either the Mega Evolution or an alternate forme of Hoopa was discovered in the coding of the demo. It has been confirmed to be the latter, seemingly requiring an item to change forms. Although really, it makes sense considering the BST change between formes is only 80 compared to Mega Alakazam's 90.

In other news, Japan has a campaign called Pokemon Scrap starting November 1st. In this, clipping containing codes will be obtainable via various Pokemon merchandise, including booster packs for the upcoming TCG set. From December 1st until April 30th 2015, these codes can be redeemed on the site for this campaign for serial codes which can then be redeemed for rewards in these games. I'd explain what those rewards are, but really, the following picture does my job for me:

In addition, information on the compatibility between these games and XY have been added to the Japanese PGL site. For full details on this, see here: http://serebii.net/omegarubyalphasapphire/compatibility.shtml

  7. >Shaymin
    >Victini
    >Keldeo
    >Master Ball
    >Nugget
    >super-fucking-potion

  8. Just a reminder: for the US and Canada, the Pokemon Trainer Club newsletter containing the download code for the demo will be sent tomorrow. If you want to get it, you'll need to make sure you have a Pokemon Trainer Club account, and opt to receive marketing e-mail messages before then.

  9. Mega Steelix and Mega Glalie have been added to the US site. In addition, it's been confirmed that Mega Glalie will be the obtainable Mega Evolution in the demo for North America.

EDIT: Additional demo distributions for the US have been announced:

    • Codes will be distributed at select cinema locations nationwide from Nov. 7–Nov. 13 (while supplies last).
    • Check with your local retailer during the holidays to find out about special demo code giveaways (while supplies last).
    • Get a code with your purchase of the new Pokémon Art Academy game (out Oct. 24) when you buy from Nintendo eShop on your Nintendo 3DS or 2DS system.
    • You’ll also get a code with your purchase of one of two classic Pokémon games coming to the Virtual Console service on Nintendo eShop: the Pokémon Puzzle Challenge game (out Nov. 6) or the Pokémon Trading Card Game (out Nov. 13). You'll find your free demo code on your eShop receipt (download codes available while supplies last).
    • Codes will be emailed the week of Oct. 31 to select Nintendo customers with Nintendo Network IDs who have signed up to receive promotional emails from Nintendo.
    • Codes will also be distributed during the holiday mall tour from Nov. 24-Dec. 21 at 16 different locations throughout the nation. Talk to a staff member to try out Pokémon Omega Ruby, Pokémon Alpha Sapphire or any of the featured Nintendo 3DS games to receive two codes—one for you, and one for a friend (while supplies last). Check back soon for a list of tour locations.

EDIT: One last thing: Regardless of location, the code you get must be redeemed by May 31st 2015 in order to play the demo.

  10. For those with the demo or don't have it yet but will be getting it through different means, it turns out that the super secret thing hinted toward preiously is unlocked at random while playing the demo multiple times. It doesn't seem to have any rewards, though. Just A Thing to do, and it can be done again after completion.

  11. And now for a random bit of info before the final pre-release issue of CoroCoro.

So as stated previously, one of the Eon duo will be readily available in the game, while the other is to be obtained through the use of the Eon Ticket. And speaking of the Eon Ticket, it has been revealed that those who have the Eon Ticket will be able to share the item with other players over Streetpass, and not lose the original item as a result. Consider this a nod back to the ability to share the item in RSE by mixing records.

EDIT: Welp! Turns out that in both US and UK, certain people will be getting a serial code for the item, while everyone else will be getting it through Streetpass.

  12. If they're doing it how I think they are I 1. don't even need the ticket and 2. can just get it through AR Powersaves if I have to so I'm fine with this.

  13. Gee thanks Obama.

  14. Finished my preorder. :>

Now to warmly wait two weeks.

  15. So apparently, Canada's given people an opportunity at getting demo codes. Then again, we all should have gotten the demo by now, but just in case:

As for me, after a bit of playing, I just got the first of the two secret missions. So I'll just go do that.

  16. After that awesomeness that was ZEJfail, it's time for the CoroCoro pre-release issue report. A lot of people here are likely aware of this, but for those who aren't:

These two scans show the various Legendary Pokemon that can be found in the games, either through Mirage Spots or other various means.
There's also Wallace, who of course is back to being a Gym Leader. And his.... new attire.... Just wtf is he wearing?

That's nice and all, but let's get to the good stuff.

First off, we have this scan showing off Deoxys, who will be available in the game through a sideplot/mission called Episode Delta.

You also may notice a new character on this scan.

This is Higana. She has a Whismur and a Mega Salamence. She also has major relevance to the plot, or otherwise I don't think they'd put her in the center of that poster to make her seem super important.

And that's about it right now.

EDIT: And then the US site updates! And as a result, we have Zinnia and The Delta Episode.
    And a trailer:

  17. To those with Pokemon Bank, there is a patch available for it. It still sends your items to your bag, but it adds compatibility for the upcoming games, so it's in your best interest to update.

  18. I think it goes without saying that the games are out. What probably goes with saying though is that there is a patch already available. Go download it.

And on a related note, my updated base QR:

EDIT: Another thing: Showing the Director in Lilycove a Pokemon from the original Ruby, Sapphire, or Emerald games will get you the Time Travel Award. Personally, I showed him my Faraway Island Mew. Anyone that scans the QR above and go to my base can actually see it, though it may or may not be directly accessible...

  19. Another new patch has been released, fixing a glitch which caused the game to potentially freeze when entering the Hall of Fame. Like the last patch, this one is required to go online, so might as well download it. I mean, unless you want to potentially be stuck in the Pokemon League...

  20. Man, I thought using the DexNav would make catching Feebas easy, but apparently there's an even easier method.

So in Route 119, regardless of where you fish or what rod you use, you typically have a 5% chance of finding Feebas. BUT if you fish underneath the bridge near the Weather Institute during the day, you have a 100% chance of finding Feebas.

EDIT: So yeah, I'm gonna be a maniac and try to do some chain fishing.

EDIT: Aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaand chain fail, but it looks like it can be done. I'll probably mess around with that after I've gotten the Shiny Charm.
