Rose? Associating particular Reapers with the heroes? I love you too omg, and I like how Brawly expanded upon the idea in the post above mine, too. All of the ideas everyone seems to have been discussing pertaining to the story sound awesome, and I'll have to keep reading 'em over and toss in some input later if I can think of anything else, but for now, YES Brawly, I am DEFINITELY interested in this. It's like UT with a more sold story and not within the mould of a tournament.

And, I'll say it here first, that Eebit, Zantok, Flamezone and I have been contemplating bringing back UT sometime in the future. This could be a lead-in title into the fourth Ultimate Tournament if people become interested enough in both. I'm so excited for that and everything about this idea you have in general. It's like the Avengers, and you're Nick Fury, without the lying tendencies.

Anyway, there's so many different characters that I could use neojfojodjf. Austere and Rock, Baboy Man, even Tomari Spalding, that engineer class from the old statplays... I am truly ecstatic.

ZEJ: Worlds in Chaos. Epic title. And I think you've got something with the tone. I like your idea. But I think that for worlds represented, obviously UT, as there have been three, and anything else that would work well in there. Not Crossover Task Force, as it doesn't use original characters, but other than that, mostly anything would be good, just not too many. Although, if this went on a long time, then it's possible you could incorporate many roleplays over time. Just a thought.

UT4 could lead into Crossover or Crossover could lead into UT4. Hell, I've even been considering the possibility of this being a UT0 and having be a prequel. It'll all depend on where my mind is at when I start it up. I think we're about a month away from me starting it up and it'll also depend on how Crossover is going at that time. I may decide to hold it off until Crossover is over so I can get a better feel of how I should treat it in the continuity line. I also have to come up with a way of dealing with the fact that none of our previous Ultimate Tournaments have had a winner due to varying circumstances.

1. I would say it should be overall darker. I think that with the combination of characters that we are most likely to see a darker and more serious story would be a better fit for them. Not to say we cant have any light-hearted or funny moments but I think our focus should be the more serious storyline. Maybe not something alone the same lines as how dark the Dark Knight trilogy was but we don't want to be like the 60s Batman tv show.

2. I would say any and all RPs that have been used on ZEJ should be eligible however if something never got off the ground and made it past the sign-ups stage then it shouldn't be considered. Even a RP that has since "died" should be allowed. Previously a point was brought up about characters from our affliates and I don't really see an issue with having a few of them but I think since it's a ZEJ crossover that we should have mostly ZEJ characters much like how Smash Bros. Brawl was mostly Nintendo and had a small amount of 3rd Party. Magnolia and other sites would be like our 3rd Party characters in my mind. I don't really see how anything from Creation Station would be used but I haven't really taken a look in there but for the moment I don't see how it would happen. The Pokemon RPs are a bit of a gray area. Technically they are eligible but I don't think we want to oversaturate this with a bunch of Pokemon guys. Maaaaybe 1? I dunno. I would personally lean towards none.

3. I vote we just call it The Great ZEJ Crossover. Ooh! Or maybe, "Project: ZEJ"

Worlds in Chaos sounds awesome, and the tone should be just like The Avengers. While things are serious, the characters should still be able to crack a good joke and definitely sass the villain.

Assuming you mean the movie The Avengers I agree. That movie was brilliantly perfect in all things, tone being one of them.

And I hadn't seen Zar'roc's post for the title being ZEJ: Worlds in Chaos. I like it. Title approved.

Ever played the game Crash Bash? At the beginning, Uka Uka and Aku Aku summon everyone to some ruin floating in space, where they explain what's going on to them. Perhaps our Reapers do the same?

In the middle of their roleplay? At the end? Before it all happens? And how would affect their normal universe? Mind wipe?

Double reality. The Reapers split the multi/omniversal plains, allowing two completely separate existences, one within their own native universe, and one within the realm of multitudes. (Where the roleplay takes place.)

^Makes sense to me. I had a similar issue when I made my first characters for the original Ultimate Tournament. Giott was a character of mine I used in a D&D game and I had to figure out where in his own reality I'd be plucking him from. I eventually just plucked him from where we had ended our last session and told myself that so long as he was in the Reaper's reality he would remember everything that occurred in both the Reaper's Realm and his home world of Ferana but when he was back in Ferana he would only remember Ferana.

Complicated. But I like Zar'roc's suggestion.

Ex-Reaper, exiled for misconduct?

 

I'm going to suggest a few ideas:
- The bad guy was born and raised bad, and knows no other way to live. I.e., his conscience was suppressed (close to Brawly's idea).
- The 'bad guy' is possessed by an object or thing and that thing is the final boss (e.g., a tainted sword of sorts that magically grows armour in the end or something).
- The bad guy is killed and replaced by another bad guy who is EoI truly insane and does things because of something bad that happened to him (and thus wants to change the world to "be a better place" - idk, too similar to Death Note though).
