The fourth section of the medley (Yume no Owari / End of Dream) never fails to give me chills.

  2. Three Hearts As One - Malukah

This song is beautiful and makes me want to play Elder Scrolls Online. You don't even need to know the lore behind Elder Scrolls to enjoy this.

  3. I'm giving Okkervil River's Black Sheep Boy a spin for the first time as I write this out. It's a beautiful record that's totally raw and human - moreso relatable to me than, perhaps, any album I've ever given my ear to. Its concept is set around the tales of a "black sheep boy" sent to learn more about our world and its societies. I have a feeling that @Eebit would like the record quite a bit; it's Blind Pilot meets Bon Iver, sonically. It's just really great.

  5. Heavy Rainfall - Pokemon Alpha Sapphire
    Drought - Pokemon Omega Ruby

I love these themes. I love the feel each has of a different kind of fear.

Heavy Rainfall has a sense of urgency and panic to it. You're surrounded by a relentless storm that threatens to drown the planet, and you need to hurry, find the solution, bring down the creature causing it. You need to hurry before it's too late.

Drought has a sense of dread and despair. The sun blazes at the world below, unforgiving, without relief. The sun and the song sap your energy, make you hesitant to try to approach the creature causing it, because it's too late. The world is dying.

  11. Minikon ーhappiendo
Toby Fox - Megalovania (Undertale version, Earthbound Halloween Hack version)
    Jonno - Your Man

  12. "When We Were Young" - Adele
"On My Mind" - Ellie Goulding

I'd been listening to orchestrated versions of the Phoenix Wright games' soundtracks, as well as some good OverClocked Remixes for a little while for good driving/motivational music... but my car recently stopped accepting the input of my iPod, so I had been listening to the radio. I had fallen behind on my pop music since my housemates and I weren't going out to the bars as often, and I hadn't even heard Adele's "25" yet. But it is quite excellent; I particularly like "When We Were Young" and its lyrics (thanks @"whitesubtitlesoncanadianwinter" for the recommendation).

And Ellie Goulding's new track is a good track for walking around on campus. It has a strong beat. And I love her voice. [sub]and she's hot[/sub]

  13. I mean I know that Sufjan Stevens always fucks you up but "Blue Bucket of Gold" is a whole new thing.

A friend had shared this with me a while back and I still can't stop listening to it. Absolutely hauntingly beautiful - as much of Aurora's work is, I've come to find.

    Also...

    LOL.

  15. I feel like it's been a... while... since I've updated everyone on my own musical tastes or whatever so hello kids I hope you're ready to groan uncomfortably and also maybe bop your head along if we're lucky.

At the moment however I am lazy so take this one thing and be satisfied, bye.

Dynamic and well-written lyrics, experimental hip-hop, and choice rapping.

Hey kids, do you like Hamilton? Do Lafayette and Jefferson make you swoon with their voices???? Did you know that the actor for them, Daveed Diggs, is the rapper for this group??????

    You're welcome.

The music is heady and creative. It's got it's own unique sound and they definitely qualify as Noise. It's very hard to explain their style since I'm not well versed on the topic anyways, but the field-recorded music, Diggs' voice, and the lyrics all combine into one beautiful and dynamic package. You can catch more of their songs on Spotify, but as a sample I'll use be using their song Body & Blood.

Also their lyrics are so sexy, like as a person who likes to write I just????? So sexy.

  17. The venue that I work with as an event promoter is having a bluegrass band who I've reviewed just last year that I enjoy a lot. They're called Steep Ravine, and maybe you'll dig 'em too. Thing is, they're booked to perform on my birthday so I don't know if I'll be there that night, but it'll probably be a solid show - I might.

Been listening to this quite bit the past few days. It really reminds me of like old Disney or Rankin/Bass movies. Specifically, the whole "Disney Acid Sequence" thing.
