    And I'm pretty sure our userbase is mature enough to handle it. There's no questioning that. "Tentacle dick" is probably not going to happen.

  6. Not every forum is the same~ If you don't like it you don't have to look at it. But it looks like, from the current poll, twice as many people want this as people who don't. I see no reason why we can't give this a try, even for a month or two.

  7. The target demographic of ZEJ is 18-25 from what I've been able to tell. Do we really need a gated red light district, or are we big enough boys and girls to just play (albeit with tact and spoilers for the more ... intimate ... parts of what may happen) and have fun?

  8. There's at least one person who's 13, not everyone wants to see it even if they don't mind it being there, and there's always the risk of getting younger members. I say we do.

    Also agreeing with David. It should at least be given a trial run.

  9. There's a few members that are 13/14, so yes. There needs to be a designated area for 18+ members, even if it's the majority of us.

  11. If people want a place to roleplay in an erotic fashion that's fine.  There does have to be a controlled access location for it though and it needs to be 18+

    I can't in good faith condone a fourteen year old roleplaying erotically with someone who may be twenty.  It's comparable to sexting and there is too much of an age and power imbalance for that to be acceptable.

  13. A lot of us have known each other for almost six years (or more, for those people who met each other irl first) so I wouldn't exactly say "complete strangers"

    I just... don't quite get the appeal I guess?

  15. Just a note: people who are specifically referencing erotic roleplaying are approaching this the wrong way. Mature and erotic are not the same thing.

  16. Anything that is strictly mature––including erotic, ultra-violent contexts, NSFW/NSFtP––need to be reigned in to a section. Accessible for a group or password protected at the very least.

  17. Do we really expect that this suggested section would be used for anything other than erotic roleplays?  No one has seemed to express interest in ultra violent or ideologically sensitive material.

  18. I'm certain my stance regarding this matter is well known by many of you, but here's my reasoning for being opposed to the addition in regards to the above arguments.

    I will note that Krista's above statement is obviously true. All that would come of this is the production of immature sexual fantasies, not the "intensive limitless potential" roleplays the supporters are implying they're shooting for. Unless you all truly want a textual porn section added to the ZEJ community, I recommend this never happen. Nothing productive will come from it.

  19. I will say that the main thing I would do in that section is violence above PG16. I don't do ERP because my lack of experience or interest in such matters is going to make me fail pretty hard, but if it came to hardcore violence and blood, I'd do it if the roleplay itself interested me.

  20. The problem with her statement is the assumption that we'd actually be any good at ERP. This community doesn't like to do things it's not comfortable with or good at; deny it all you want, but it's proven time and time again to be true.

    Oh, and I don't consider being gimmicky retards in statplays to be something we're not comfortable with.
