  1. Obligatory revive.

    I play Magic and Yugioh, but that's really about it.

    I won't say that I'm good, but this five year old Yu-Gi-Oh deck has won me a state tournament before. :3

  3. I play Yu-Gi-Oh! Never done any competitive play though. My deck technically isn't legal. I've only played with friends and we always ignored the ban list and the 60-card deck limit. I'm not much of fan of how the game has progressed. Synchros and XYZs can kiss my ass.

    I'd be interested in a Skype tourney if I don't have to change my deck at all. >.> <.< Yeah I thought that'd be a no.

  4. I find XYZs and Synchros viable mechanics and use them when they don't interfere with my build, but they're no trickier than Ritual or Fusion monsters... Hell, Synchros are Fusion monsters with fewer restrictions.

  5. I'm not saying they aren't viable but from my experience with them if you don't have a top tier deck or use them too then you're screwed. Maybe I'm just wearing my nostalgia glasses and am stuck in the classic era of Yu-Gi-Oh! but I just can't get behind XYZs. Synchros I'm not as pissy about but I'm not a fan of them either.

    My decks either don't run Synchro/XYZs or rely on them very little and I'm able to hold my own. Even with the decks that have them, I usually don't end up needing to use them.

  8. ... I've never heard "gens" applied to YGO. XD

    Anime-wise, I enjoy the original, best-known series; GX was dumb, 5D's was meh, and I haven't seen much of Zexal.

    Card game-wise, I'm pretty much accepting of any new mechanics once I understand how they work.

  9. I actually kinda liked GX up until the 3rd season. First two were alright. 5Ds... well they aged it up a bit but the motorcycle thing is dumb. I watched the first episode of ZeXal and... yeah... it's bad.

  13. So about an hour ago, I decided to buy another tin of Yu-Gi-Oh! cards. The tin itself contained the Secret Rare Hieratic Sun Dragon Overlord of Heliopolis, 4 Super Rare cards (two of which I already have lol), and 5 booster packs from three different sets.

    From all that, I ended up getting 3 Xyz Monsters, 3 Synchro Monsters, a Fusion Monster, and several other weird cards to add to my collection.

    I think the absolute weirdest card I got from this tin was this:

    I'll probably edit in a list of all of the cards I got from this tin later, but... yeah...


    Also, I was really tempted to buy Legendary Collection 3 while I was in Virginia. Of course, I decided not to go through of it because I realized it'd be a hassle getting it back to Florida. I'll definitely buy it at some point, though.

  15. Okay, so basically, I got a total of 50 cards from this tin.

    9 cards from Photon Shockwave (PHSW)

    Unfortunately, I made the mistake of mixing the 9 from PHSW with 9 I already had from the same set. As a result, I can't fully remember which9 from these 18 are from the tin. So what I'm going to do is list the other cards I got from the tin, and then list the 18 cards I have from PHSW.

  17. So I just got another Xyz Monster from Weekly Shonen Jump Alpha.

    Just in case you can't read it:
    2 Level 4 Monsters
    Once per turn: You can detach 1 Xyz Material from this card; equip 1 Warrior-type monster from your hand to this card. This card gains ATK equal to the combined ATK of the monsters equipped to it by this effect.
