  1. this is the signup thread for the new ZEJ roleplay discussed. Here you will post your profiles-

    But wait a sec! Where's the SU form? Well first off, you must put in a vote to the name of this superhero come-together! When the name is figured out, SU forms will be sent out and all can join.

    SO, the big question you all must discuss with yourselves: What is the name? =D

    ZEJ Heroes. Sorry, that's all I've got. lol. But maybe the name could be ZEJ, but with the words standing for something else. For example, Zany Extreme Justice. That's the best I could come up with in fifteen seconds. :D Hopefully, someone can be more creative with the name, whatever it is, and we can start this cool roleplay.

    Can we please get some more of the founders of ZEJ in on this? Honestly if it's a ZEJ roleplay, you guys gotta help choose the name of your superhero group. C'mon guys, I'm not gonna take the blame for choosing a lame title XD

    I agree that the name should just simply be "ZEJ." Even if it isn't an acronym for anything, it'd still be a good name for it.

    Why call it the "Sign Up" thread if it's not going to contain SUs for like, 10-20 posts =/

    I honestly don't see a reason to join such a thing mainly due to it's lack of creativity. Not so much a problem with wanting to incorperate other peoples ideas, but the fact that it's basically a RolePlay-on-a-whim. No real basis for it at all. So uh, if something interesting comes up, I may come in and help spruce it up as well, but for now, "it's a super hero RP!" is not good enough.

    Btw I already have the basic concept for the character I'd incorporate, so I am taking this idea seriously, just no input as of yet.

    Note: This post could possibly be completely changed within the next 24-hours as I have the flu right now and I can't sleep, therefore only paying about 3% attention. Which isn't too bad compared to my average attention span of about 10%.

    I like Daen's idea fused with Brawly's to give us something akin to ZEJ: Zero Evil Justice Squad as our title.

    I really really agree with Zio though. As cool as something like this would be, I think that we definitely need a lot more information on the setting, the mood, the style of the RP, etc. Right now, with the 'YEY ZUPERHIIROZ' movement we have going on in this thread, I am not really at all compelled to join. I definitely want to know more before I mindlessly throw a character into this.

    Now I figure that you're probably waiting for us to pick out a name for this before you post any more detail, crazE, but it'd be nice to have at least given us an idea of what style we'll be writing for, before asking who'd be interested ;P

    heh, just wanting a name, and awesome title guys :D

    MAIN SUMMARY AND STUFF:
    The RP will take place in the massive city of Benign, a super-city with three different districts making up the city. Each city is run by a different capitol due to the huge size of the city itself. Near each capitol' gargantuan skyscrapers and bulky buildings line the air, thousands upon thousands of citizens clogging the streets. Near the edges of each districts are more rural areas, vegetation being able to breathe more away from the technological suffocation of the capitols.

    Although it sounds like an amazing city, it hides a dark, hideous cancer.... a ruthless organization known as Zealous. The organization feeds off the city like a leech, taking what they want, killing whoever (even innocent civilians!), and getting away. Why? Zealous has already gained control of a whole capitol... and they're going to try for the biggest capitol Grand-Mère to dominate.

    Civilians don't know what to do. The streets are no longer safe and no one even wants to leave their homes... But now, an act of rebellion rises. Once outcasts in Benign, these mutants lay in wait for their chance to shine... and now is their chance to shine! Fight against Zealous, claim the city back for freedom!

    A superhuman rebellion is looking for other special talented ones to help aid them against the evil Zealous organization. They need your help, your skills to aid them. Choose to fight for the city and gain honor, or if your heart is set on a different path, fight to gain control and be feared... It is your choice, my friend!

    basic Sign-up form, shouldn't be that hard to fill out. Due to lessons learned, the limit to how many powers one character may have is at most 2. Techniques are practically limitless because techniques can always be learned, but I strongly advise only one to two techniques.

    Now whoever wants to come and join, come on over! :D

    Anyway, you shouldn't get lazy on the details in a sign-up thread as it is the most important part of an RP to be in-depth. People need to get a solid preview of what they're getting into. Describe the world/land/country/etc.

    I'll be filling in my sign up now, but I can't do a proper back-story with so little detail to work with, therefore it won't be posted til that happens.

    And Brawlinator, time travel WILL be possible, but unfortunately I will not allow it as a power. The ability itself overpowers the character right from the start, and don't get me started if they know how to use it....

    May I present a theory derived from a source that I will apply to this: Time travel is not exactly travelling to the past, but morelike travelling to a different dimension of many that begins right at the time frame one wishes to travel. This way, there is no paradox where if one travels back in time and kills someone, the whole timeline isn't screwed up and potentially rewrites and destroys to universe.

    for example, X travels to 1776, but not in his own dimension. Instead it transports him to a dimension following the exact same path as his own, and he stops the Constitution of America from being signed and travels back. Instead of his own timeline being altered, the dimension which hadn't gotten to the time his dimension is in would change as simply as making a choice right here right now and the timeline would alter accordingly without and paradoxes.

    I hope this'll clear stupid time travel bugs and help that be understood. Accepting characters now :D

    Name: Xiax
    Appearance: He, unlike most superheroes, doesn't wear tights, or a cape, or anything like that. No, Xiax is more of a behind the scenes Hero, and just wears regular clothes, although always has a black wristband which contains his shuriken. He has dark brown hair and tan skin, but his eyes are blood red. He is in very good shape as he lives in the forest, and hunts for his meals.
    Age: (I thought this could be helpful) 15
    Background: As a boy, Xiax lived in a rural area. He developed telekinesis early and mastered it very quickly, though his range is limited. He had complete control at 10 feet or less, and had weakening control up to 100 feet, where he loses any control. He can use scopes to increase his range, but not by much. On his 13th birthday, Xiax developed his second ability, pyrokinesis, and burned down his house and killed his whole family, except his twin brother, Xyrin, who although they were twins, was born the day after Xiax, though Xiax did not know of his survival. After that, Xiax ran from Benign and trained in the wilderness.
    Abilities: Telekinesis (limited range, mastered); Pyrokinesis (little control); Has some skill in swordplay with a Khopesh (sword with a blade that curves in a crescent part way up).
    Equipment: Carries a titanium Khopesh, sharpening stone, and a set of titanium shuriken. He has a scope which can be worn like glasses in order to increase his accuracy with his Pyrokinesis and shuriken, and range with Telekinesis.

    Actually, time travelling wouldn't be his power. He would just be someone who was transported to this time period. Would it be okay if he was kidnapped by Zealous and taken to this time period, but he escaped, and joined ZEJ?

    @Daen: Good character, but there are some things I'm having problems with.

    Always has a gadget that always comes in handy. Usually most RPs will allow such a simple sentence, but as long as I've been in the cult, anyone who always has a gadget that always comes in handy or "conveniently has a tool" always comes with the destruction of an intense scene. The RP isn't about how strong you can make your character, it's what you can make your character do to help the scene.

    With this kind of character too, let's not decide that he's joined ZEJ already. Moreover, joining ZEJ will be an in-character thing during the RP.

    @Brawly: Although Zealous is powerful, unfortunately I will not allow them to know the secrets of time travel. Sorry.

    Let's get more characters!

    Okay, I guess I'll have to think of some other way to get him from the past to the present. I think I've actually got an idea. Maybe at some point, ZEJ would travel back in time, probably to keep Zealous from existing. However, the unstable time machine would end up sending them to my character's time instead. After they figure out how to get back to present day, my character decides to go with ZEJ to their time to stop Zealous, with the promise that they'll find a way to transport him back to his time afterwards. Of course, that would mean I won't be able to participate for a while, but if this works out well, it could be worth it. What do you guys think?

    Another idea would be a distortion in the fabric of space-time that leads to your character's appearance in the future.

    Well Brawly, there are several phenomenon in our universe you could bend to your advantage. As such, the Bermuda Triangle. Things disappear and reappear there all the time at different times in our world. You could use phenomenon like that to your advantage. Also this is an RP, let your mind wander. Time machines don't have to be man-made boxes with buttons and dials. Your character could wander into some natural occurance that could send him to the future. Use your imagination :D

    Any more characters? I can accept up to two characters per person. :D
