ZEJ vs Capcom - Fight to the Finish

Well, I've ignored this topic for long enough now, haven't I?

To kick things off, I'd absolutely LOVE to play a ZEJ fighting game. Obviously it's a little on the implausible side, seeing as (at least as far as I know) we're all pretty much just a bunch of writers and dreamers. I'm really interested in the discussion going here, and I'd love to see it continue on through! Can't say much for a Capcom side of things because, while I love them, I don't really want to make comparisons before I write this up...

Character-wise, it looks like I've sort of missed the boat on the roster (slightly punny seeing as you selected Kristoph as my character, but nonetheless!), but anyways, my input would be as follows, since we're going with ALL of ZEJ and not just UT:

Giott the Dwarf (Ultimate Tournament) - I'd certainly select Giott as the main character of Ultimate Tournament, seeing as he was one of the two finalists of the first Tournament, and played a major (though largely unrevealed and underplayed) role in the second. I think that, even though Baboy Man would make it better as a set-up rivalry with Amaterasu, he wouldn't be the one who I'd immediately pick as Jonno's character.

Austere Clements and Rock (Ultimate Tournament 2) - THIS, on the other hand, would be who I'd peg as Jonno's most notable character. The lovable (if zany) duo who made their appearance in UT1 as minor NPCs based off of a well-known moderator of our past site of Mercurious, and reappeared for a bigger shot at the spotlight as two feisty contenders and a singular hot-headed womanizer of a boulder in UT2... Plus a role in Jonno's book? Definitely gets my vote.

Aexides Licari (Ultimate Tournament 3) - Aexides was, without a doubt, one of Flamezone's finer characters. Had it not been for his exit in UT1, I'd have picked Eric the Flame (if only for the battle between him and Jackson. That was so much fun)... but Aexides was still going at the time of UT3's great hiatus (why is this a recurring pattern.......), and he just has so much GOING for him. Diverse moveset, interesting story and persona, GREAT RPing... Judges?

Captain Fighter (Ultimate Tournament 3) - Not who I would personally have selected as your representative, Brawly, but I guess I can see why you'd want him to be in a fighting game as an Ultimate Tournament rep. I guess what's getting me is the fact that you were in a time of writer's block when you were RPing him, so he doesn't really stand out to me as a finer character of yours... Maybe I'd have selected Victor, if only because it was an interesting shakeup to UT2 in the Tavern... for a brief moment.

Espira Xirro (Cult of Ustream / Touhou: Normality in the Realm / Ultimate Tournament 3) - The girl's credentials are extensive, as is her arsenal of attacks and her badassery factor. She's clearly become the ZEJ postergirl (as Jonno mentioned earlier), gracing us with her visage on the ZEJ Dark theme. Shadow roleplays her incredibly well, and I just believe she is an all-around great choice for a fighting game. She'd really bring a diverse, combo-based playstyle to the table!

Alexandra Valentine (Tales of Alidaire: The Struggle) - Quite obviously the main character of The Struggle as it stands. Of course, she'd be much more of a passive character than anything, but her playstyle could be interesting to translate into an actual fighting game. Interesting choice, to be certain!

Loresai Dantasia (Tales of Alidaire: The Struggle) - Masquerade has stated many a time how much he loves Loresai as a character, and I must agree with him. She'd make a very interesting player in a fighting game, but I wouldn't put her AND Alexandra in there at the same time. I find that Loresai would be cool to play as; very stealthy, very combo-centric.

That'll be all, for now... Though I have more, my hands are starting to hurt. Just imagining all the possibilities is great fun, and I think it'd be cool if we came up with the actual movesets for our respective characters in the game. :> Could be good fun! Expect another post like this one soon, for sure. I haven't even scratched the surface on good characters!

Stages can be drawn primarily from the Ultimate Tournament series, though I do have plenty of ideas on how we could yoink a few stages from statplays~

 

I would recommend crazE to being in this, but he's the God of Randomness; his combos and moves would be limitless, too much for a controller to try and use them all. CrazE would be best in Super Smash Bros. as a summon character.

Buuuuuut.... if anyone still agrees he should be a joke character (Because he basically is XD), methinks his moves would be based on his fruit-blasting randomness and his exploding techniques. His exploding techniques are great for defense and creating space to make more powerful combos, possibly a very good addition to ZEJ's side.

Bryce imo would probably be better for a more serious playable character if he ever came up. He uses raw mana and can transfer energy through crystals. And he uses a mana sword that he can trigger the blade to turn into a lightsaber-like weapon. Possible combos there

I completely a agree with this lineup though (Despite I don't really know some of them). Espira's totally gonna kick Capcom buttocks....

Also haven't we made a Super Smash Bros. for ZEJ before? I swear we have, but it just disappeared... let's get that back here!
