The Open World

The open world is for the open mind.​

As a rule among stories, and even roleplays, for it to be a complete Thing, there should be four aspects present: a world, a premeditated plot, a primary narrator, and the characters. By the suggestion of our lovely admin Eebit and the ensuing enthusiasm at the suggestion, it was conceived that there should be a roleplay on ZEJ which does not include two of the four aforementioned elements; you are now invited to imagine how spectacular an RP could become if there were no established plot to bind our character's motives or actions, and if there were no person whose judgment we would have to defer to in the writing of our posts in such an RP. It would be a completely open world, free to be influenced by our character's volition and whims, where the only thing on the agenda would be creative writing.

The premise here is that everything is blank. I may be the one posting this thread, but I would in no way be the moderator of this RP-- the entire thing is an unmarred canvas which belongs only to the community of ZEJ. Nearly everything about it is open to manipulation, except for the flavor and concept that one shouldn't go into this with concrete plans as to what should happen. The goal, when posting, is to just go and write, and see what becomes of it.

If people are interested, please to leave suggestions as to the basic design of the environment, or your thoughts on anything about this, really. The making of this is intended to be a community project, and I should hope we'll end up with a chimerical world which will inspire creative writing.
