I ASKED HER IF SHE CELEBRATES ANYTHING DURING THE WINTER AND SHE SAID CHRISTMAS AND ALSO SOMETIMES RANDOMLY HANUKKAH SO I ASKED, AS I ASKED A FEW FRIENDS, WHAT SHE'D WANT AS A PRESENT IF I DID DECIDE TO GET ONE AND SHE SAID "Ah- the gift of words!"

AND SO YESTERDAY I MADE THIS DOCUMENT WHERE BASICALLY IT'S GOT A COVER PAGE AND THEN A POEM AND THEN AN EXCERPT FROM MY NANO AND ALSO MESSAGES IN IT AND IT'S BASICALLY MY "GIFT OF WORDS" BY DOING SOME NEVER BEFORE SEEN WRITING BECAUSE WE TALKED ABOUT OUR WRITING AND SHE OFFERED TO LOOK AT IT AND SEEMED REALLY EXCITED ABOUT THE CHANCE TO EVER SEE IT AND I GAVE IT TO HER THIS MORNING AND I CANNOT WAIT UNTIL SHE OPENS IT GAAAAH I ALSO GAVE HER AN ORIGAMI HEART THE FIRST TIME I REPLIED (SO AFTER HER FIRST LETTER) AND I WAS THINKING ABOUT WHAT ELSE TO PUT IN MY ENVELOPE AND I HAD A SMALLER, PRETTIER ONE FOLDED IN MY FOLDER AND I WAS LIKE "NO BUT I LOVE THAT ONE, I CAN'T PART WITH IT-" *VIOLENT STUFFS PAPER HEART INTO ENVELOPE*

I CANNOT WAIT FOR HER REACTION, DEAR GOD, IT'S GONNA BE GREAT

SHE'S GONNA BE SO HAPPY (I HOPE)

AND THEN I WILL BE SO HAPPY

so I was waiting outside Chem for you but Senpai came out first

(priorities)

and so I started walking backwards with Senpai and I was like “hey, which way are you going today?”

and Senpai (walking normally) is like “Oh, I’m going to *privacy, i guess* today, so i COULD take the bus”

and I don’t like making people think they HAVE to do things

so I was quickly like

“Ah- so you could take the bus, but you don’t HAVE to.”

and we’re pushing open the door to the stairs and senpai’s like “Nah- I’ll take the bus!”

and so I stand by the lockers and it was really cute because senpai took forever and was like “I’m sO SORRY THAT I’M SO SLOW”

and so anyways

the friendo who I know from that day after philosophy is walking with us and we all have a conversation as we go downstairs

and we start walking and then stop as we wait for one of their other friends

and so then she shows up after we stand there talking for a while

and then there’s a bit more conversation

and they’re like “We’re going to the mall right? we should go the mall.”

And Senpai turns to me looking subtly apologetic/distressed

“Oh- your mom wouldn’t let you come, would she?”

and I’m like “welp- yes”

and Senpai’s like “aw”

and then they were going to go the other way towards the mall

so

basically

Senpai like

moves forwards

and hugs me “Ah, I’m so sorry I can’t walk with you!”

And afterwards I realize I didn’t hug back

and I’m like- damn should I hug back, am I allowed to hug back, how high on the ‘friend’ scale are we so far?

and I basically just vaguely move my arms like “O-Oh, do I- Do I like- Or do I just go- I mean-”

And Senpai’s like “oh, nooo, noooo-” And like comes up again and I’m like oH OK SO I GUESS I CAN HUG BACK, ALRIGHT THEN???

and then it was a proper hug

and then Senpai was like “sorry again- see you at school?“

And i snap my fingers as usual and go “Yeah, of course! Have fun at the mall!”
