The Hunters OoC

  1. Overview
    The monsters can come in various different shapes and sizes. But they can be categorized by strength, and with strength comes rarity and bigger payouts.

    Level 1- Weakest, low payout, common
    Level 2- Somewhat weak, lower payout, somewhat common
    Level 3- Medium, medium payout, infrequent
    Level 4- Challenging, big payout, rare
    Level 5- Hardest, massive payout, probably a once in a lifetime

    Sunset is typically when the monsters come out, and sunrise is when they typically disappear for the day. When they're killed, the carcasses conveniently disappear.

    Each pair is equipped with a device (similar to a Pokedex) that logs each kill, and also determines the strength of each monster. They bring the device to Headquarters and the give the money to the hunters to split as they please.

    The Current State of Monsters
    What should be a Level 1 monster for some reason will behave like a Level 2 and so on. They also started entering and ravaging homes and buildings, something they never did before. No one seems to know where their power source is coming from or how to stop it.

    The RP
    The RP will begin with the enlisting of our noble heroes and heroines in the Headquarters of the City of Lochton. Lochton boasts about 1,500 people, 34 (soon to increase with the events of this RP) of which are involved in monster hunting. You will all have had your forms submitted and will be brought into a room together, where you will pick partners and then pick weapons. At sunset, you will be set free to start having grand adventures as a hunting pair. But a bigger mystery regarding the monsters may be calling your name...

    General Notes
    While I want at least a paragraph of writing, I'm going to put a limit as well on how much you can write. I don't want novellas. I want posts that will advance plot, but don't take nine years to write or read. I'd rather have more activity in this RP and not have it die after a week. I'm not demanding quantity over quality, I'm asking that we shift some of the large weight of quality and move it to quantity and find balance.

  2. Name: Fiona Edgeworth
    Age: 18
    Appearance: Fiona is a 5'5", 110 pound blind girl, blinded by an illness as a child. Her hazel eyes are usually open but hidden behind a pair of sunglasses. Her skin is pale and her hair red. Her mother still dresses her, but she still has an opinion even though she can't see the fabrics, and typically will go for long, flowing skirts, boots, and tight fitting shirts. Her figure can be describe as twig-like, and she hopes that these outfits would help make her more appealing in school.

    Personality: There is one thing in this world that Fiona hates: being told that she can't do something. She will go to great lengths to make sure people know that she can do what they are telling her she can't do, which can often make her reckless. However, she will defend her friends no matter what and will always have their back. Fiona really hates liars, and she can tell when you are, and wishes that one day she'll be able to see the stars, because she's heard stories from her mother about how beautiful they can be. Her mother would bring her books about space and read them to her, and ever since she has longed to look up at the night sky and see their everlasting beauty.
    Other: Despite her blindness, she's really good at determining when people are lying, and has figured out how to determine who she's talking to and where they are based off of sound. She has amazing aim because of this skill, which got her into the force despite several objections to her blindness.

  3. Name: Nicolas Aizen
    Age: 18
    Appearance: 5'8", has short dark brown hair and eyes. His somewhat childish face and lean body has been hotly discussed by the girls of his hometown before his fall from grace. He still tries to dress as a noble even though stuff happened.

    Personality: His family going waist-deep into debt did nothing to cure his arrogant and condescending attitude. Except now he's a bit more focused and task-oriented. He has no patience for lowly peasants and would work alone if wasn't that dangerous (and if he wasn't such a tsudere chicken). He may act and talk big, but after falling away from the comfort of the high life he honestly has no clue what to do now other than work off his family's debts.
    Other: Despite being a spoiled brat before, he's received some training in the art of war and it proficient with polearms.

  5. Name: Colyn Jeffreys
    Gender: Male
    Age: 18
    Height: 6'1"
    Weight: 184lbs

    Appearance: Colyn's face is thin and angular, with extremely pronounced cheekbones. This gives him a particularly gaunt appearance. Resting in his eyesockets are two eyes of a calm, green colour. If one stares long enough into those eyes, they might find a twinge of deep regret. He keeps himself clean-shaven, whereas his dark brown hair is kept at a length which stretches to the nape of his neck. His bangs are almost entirely cut off. Colyn garbs himself in lighter armour. He prefers to trade bulky defense for pure speed. Typically, this armour is covered by a saintly white cloth that he regularly and almost obsessively keeps clean, in order to match his disposition as a self-proclaimed paladin. This cloth has red trim around its edges, as well as being adorned with a red cross that extends across his chest. To his hips are attached twin sheaths, each playing host to a single longsword, while his back has a third sheath strapped to it. This holds his signature weapon - Accueillir, a strange and cruel weapon that in no way matches his paladin style. At a glance, the weapon seems normal enough, and is made up of a typical straight blade with a cruciform hilt. Unfortunately for a number of victims... first looks can be deceiving.

    Personality: Colyn has an unparalleled sense of justice. He has always found a lack of it to be a horrible circumstance, and takes it upon himself to expose the light of the truth to all who deserve it. He seeks out justice for all of those whom he views to have been wronged in some way. Aside from being highly self-motivated and just (where he sees fit), he is a rather stoic, calm, and gentlemanly fellow.
