  1. I don't deal with the cold at all, thanks.

    E.g., this winter it's the coldest it's ever been at 25˚C (77˚F) in my city and I can't go out without a sweater and a jacket.

  2. Get on my level, Espy Minnesota's actually expected to experience an unprecedented cold front two days from now. Temperatures are estimated to reach -50 F thanks to windchill, and -20 F besides. The talk of the school on Friday was about the Governor's issuing a statement that all public schools shall be closed on said day.

    On a different topic, I spent an hour yesterday waiting for a ROM of Animal Crossing: New Leaf to download because I was inspired to do a sort of "Let's Play" of it here on ZEJ, centered around making an entertaining story about three characters with quirky personalities experiencing the strange world of Animal Crossing. I was actually getting excited about it, but when the download finished, all that was there was a document stating to complete one of the following surveys to commence the download of the game. And as much as I hate those kinds of things because they always try to make you sign up for something, no links or anything were even included.

  4. Well I can get on your level except opposite; 50˚C (around 125˚F) is very normal for summer in my city.

  5. The south isn't that cold usually, this winter is one of extremes. Relatively speaking, the lowest we get here usually is -5 to -10 C.

    Trust me, you'll get used to the cold eventually. My family came from the wimpiest nation with regard to winter conditions ever (the UK).

  6. So my friends and I went and met with the guy(s) who we may be living with next year. It seems like a nice house, very close to campus, and it's quite spacious. On top of that, it's reasonably priced, they play video games most of the day, and (most importantly) unlimited internet through Teksavvy. Stoked.

  13. I'm still in vacation time over here and school doesn't start for another 28 days. It's really easy to lose track of time ESPECIALLY if most of your family isn't even around.

  14. So when is your semester supposed to even end @Starrie ? If you don't start school for a whole nother month, it sounds as if you would have to end in like July or something.

  15. My fall semester ended in December, Gist. However, the reason why it was like that is because we start school WAAY earlier than the universities; a month earlier, in fact.

  17. Well, its actually a California thing. Its supposed to give us a learning advantage against other states in terms of how much time we hit the books. But between you and me the entire thing is a bunch of useless crap. Starting late or early, it doesn't matter. We technically spend as much time at school as anyone else, just that our start point and end point is just one month ahead. Thats literally it. If they are going to be asshats about starting our school year during summer to maximize learning, why give us a month of vacation?

  19. So there's a day off of school today.

    Starting this semester there will be many many days off and it will pass by much much faster than I would normally like.

    I don't think I'm ready for real college just yet... like, I'm smart and crap, but I don't think I could physically/emotionally handle real college life. Like...

    I might need to go to a middle college to get acclimated to being an adult.

    Nope. Comic Con- the official one- is coming to Minneapolis in May and I've always wanted to go to one.
