Jonah was beginning to feel his body growing weaker. It was not a pleasant feeling; almost a sinking feeling inside of him. He could see the shape of his targets, and he was determined to not let Celestine down. She was relying on him to complete the task and return the two of them to their respective homes. No more. I cannot allow myself to get hit again.

Before he could react, he could feel a familiar flitting of wings; an almost tingling sensation as his body movement increased once more. With his Mana-infused vision, he turned back to see Celestine giving him a weak form of what would probably be perceived as a grin, if his sight was better. She had saved him once more, and the tides of battle were once again in their favour. It was only a matter of time before this battle would be clinched in their favour. Jonah smirked; it would be a shame to lose her. She was an admirable companion.

Celestine’s thoughts were elsewhere, however. She could not watch Jonah’s merciless slaughter of the opponents; it was so cruel. He was a wondrous fighter, full of grace and formality, but with such unconventional tactics. And though she knew that he was simply working to get the pair of them home, she could not help but feel sorry for the opponents. She was truly indecisive on the arts of war. The poor girls… she thought, their weapons are rendered near-useless if they cannot hit what they see before them.

Jonah paid Celestine’s wince no mind, and turned back to the battle, lashing out with his knife to finish off the girl in the immense suit of natural armour… “My apologies, once more… though you fought well, it is time for you to rest.” He said, slightly under his breath, before leaving a gouge in the armoured one’s midsection. He then followed up with a dash to the girl whom he had rendered blind, before she fled back in cowardice. “And now for you…” he muttered, ready to finish things off.

And he left a rip in her armour as well.

It was gone. The menacing presence of the energy that could not have been magic... was gone. Cursing her luck, cursing her shortcomings and flat out cursing everything in general, Nita prepared for the final moments of this conflict. She felt not the pain of the bitter cold blade that pierced her flesh. She felt not the agony as the blood pooled from her open wounds. I will not go down idly. Here's my one chance to murder this guy... With a grunt, she brought down the heavy weapon, right on the top of where, she hoped, the man of great speed was.

With a swagger, she fell back....

Celestine gasped inaudibly as she inhaled the frigid air of the area, stinging her throat as she attempted not to cough. Jonah had fallen. Her chances to return home were growing ever slimmer. If he were to not waken from this state, she would need to resort to her own physical abilities… that is to say, her lack of physical ability. She grimaced in pain, partially from the glacial air interrupting the balance of temperature within her body, but also in part due to the thought of needing to take on this ferocious woman on her own. If she could take down Jonah, who knows what else she would be capable of?

She shook her head, trying to obtain some clarity of mind. C’mon, Celestine. You need to think. What would Diago do…? but she was unable to think of him without a tear wetting her eye, freezing upon contact with her eyelash. She raised a hand to her face, and flicked the crystalline teardrop away. It shattered on impact. Celestine suddenly knew that she had to go and face this woman on her own, to settle things. She began to round the ice crystal, beginning to draw the Mana of the area into her body…

Her bleary vision was really annoying. Everything was fuzzy and malformed. Hold on a second... I can't see... Ahah! Finally! The realization was a bolster to her moral. Blurry vision was fine, for that means it's clearing!

Ahead of her she could see the shape of a person, and with a bit of squinting, she made it out to be none other than the one that did this to her. He was standing, awakening from the wound Nita had not expected to land. Finally, time to slaughter this creep. A twinge of remorse appeared and was dismissed almost instantly. No life was higher than her own. Or so she told herself.

With a few quick, long-paced steps, she was bearing down upon the man again.
