  2. Nita enters the cold room with a grin on her face. Not your friendly grin, mind you. One of those "I'll rip out your heart and feed it to the squirrels if you cross me" smiles. Positioning herself, Nita smashes the butt of her heavy, rune-covered glaive onto the floor, beckoning to a figure farther back.

    The full-body armor covering the Demon Arnem paced toward the motioning human, with surprisingly little sound. She steadied herself more-or-less behind Nita, steeling herself for battle.

    "I hope you're stronger than you look."

    Arnem did not reply.

    Nita starts in cell E3

    Bin walk into the shrine and glanced around, his agreed partners were nowhere to be seen. He wondered for a moment if he had perhaps came too early, or maybe the battle was already over? He attempted to peak past the shine's ice pile to see if he could spot anyone, only to be seized by a tight grip, as a load and obnoxious voice screamed in his ear. "Hello there Buddy!" It was Nicoro, the being that seemed to be a sentient spell casted by the man who Bin agreed to have as a partner. Bin struggled out of his grip, and was about to attempt to formally greet Nicoro, but Taroh walked onto the scene and shoved the two away from each other, as if he was breaking up a fight. "Focus you Nimrods, we have business."

  4. Two figures entered the ominous temple, seeking shelter from the raging blizzard outside. As the first figure removed his hood, it was clear that he wore a blindfold to cover his unseeing eyes… His name was Jonah Ashdown, and his silver hair blew in the wind which had not been blocked fully by the walls of the temple. He grunted, beckoning for his companion to take a stand beside him. It was clear to him that they were not alone. He drew his blade from its sheath, preparing to fend off whatever stood against him and his companion.

    Whispering over the roaring din of the blizzard outside, his companion, Celestine Delumina, spoke in his ear. “…What is it?” He turned his head to her, before speaking back, “We are not alone.” There were few words spoken between the two of them; strangers forced together by the hands of Fate, fighting to endure a harsh storm in a land to which neither of them were familiar. Celestine looked out, through the immense sculpture of ice which filled the majority of the room, and saw a total of five other figures in the room. She could not make out what they were saying from beneath the roar of the blizzard, though she too drew her staff and prepared herself for battle.

    Jonah smiled grimly. He had not expected to fight in the weather here, but it seemed that it had become necessary if they were to retain the calm in which they had entered the temple. “Celestine. We are going to need to fight, as you know. Can I look to you for support?” His formal tone held a small touch of compassion for the girl; she seemed lost in the world. As though she were without half of her whole being. She nodded slowly, not turning to face Jonah. He turned back, casting his gaze once more about the frigid temple.

    “Then we begin.”

  6. Two others entered the room. Nita did not much care as to how they looked, in fact, she had to focus hard on ignoring their existence as living beings in order to do what she was planning to do. Just as she were to charge headlong into them, Arnem raised her metal-coated arm to stop her, simply pointing the other direction. "This... way."

    Nita scowled, but heeded the counsel, assuming the Demon had some kind of plan, something Nita knew when to follow, but not how to create herself. "Alright tin-man... er... woman... whatever. Let's see what you have in mind."

    Nita moves to cell D5 [E3 - E4 - D4 - D5] Nita waits.

    Arnem S-Ability activates. Arnem is now Immune.

  8. It was time. The battle had begun, and those to Celestine’s left had already begun to move. She inhaled sharply, the frigid air of the blizzard outside stinging her throat and making her eyes water, but she had to go on. The world could wait for her and her long-gone companion, but presently, she had to focus on the here and now; her and Jonah Ashdown, working together to return to their respective homes. She knew that she would be able to help him with ease, and began to channel the power of the sacred Twins of the Zodiac; their ethereal form appearing before Jonah, and blessing him with speed that could be considered superhuman.

    He himself looked down with unseeing eyes as his form seemed to blur with every motion he made. The world’s pace had slowed down… to him. In reality, he was moving faster than the human eye could register, or even fathom. In a flash, he disappeared from Celestine’s vision, before reappearing next to one of the opponents; a mere boy. Celestine was completely baffled by the young man’s appearance. What could possibly have brought this child so far from home? The allure of the frigid tundra did not seem like a pleasantry in her mind… She thought of warmth… of Diago… of home. All so far off. Wordlessly, she watched Jonah in his grace…

    Jonah himself was in awe at the magic that Celestine was capable of. The two spiritual twins had appeared and disappeared in a flash, whispering words in some arcane babble that Jonah could not comprehend. Their presence was only known to him bye their faint, fiery outline brought on by his Mana-infused vision, and their whispery tone. He could hear a faint cry escape Celestine’s mouth, but there was nothing he could do for her. Jonah knew that the only way home was to reign victorious…

    Dashing. His speed was so fast that the wind howled in his ears. In a flash of grace, he leapt off of the column and appeared next to the figure young boy. He regretted what he was doing, but he drew his knife and whispered in the boy’s ears, “I am sorry, truly. Find peace in unconsciousness.” He began his swift, gruesome work, gouging, hacking, and slashing his target, or at least, the Mana-silhouette of his form.

    The deed was done. One had fallen, and more were to join him.

  11. From somewhere beyond the ice there was a cry of pain and a muffled voice. It was hard to hear with the raging blizzard, regardless of their shelter. Nita came around the frozen pile and saw what the sound was. The man she saw earlier was standing over the unmoving corpse of a boy. Another person simply lifted the injured figure and left. "You knew they were here?"

    Arnem followed closely behind. "Yes... but no..." Her voice was slow as if the language were one she was not accustomed to.

    "Shame, that." She said gesturing to were the fallen boy had been. "I would have liked the pleasure."

  13. The boy had crumpled with relative ease, and his familiar had vanished with them. Their companion, a young wizard, simply picked up the body of his fallen friend, and fled the scene, without so much as a word more. Jonah felt sorry for the boy he had felled, but knew that if he and Celestine were to survive, it would come at the cost of others’ safety. Grimacing, he moved once more. Gracefully, swiftly, he made his way over to the last two obstacles in his path. Once more, he found himself face-to-face with a stranger he would never meet. Drawing his knife, Jonah simply stated, “I apologize… Under other circumstances, I would not resort to this…” Once more, he executed his sequence of vicious slashes and gashes. His apology was genuine; he personally did not want to be fuelled by need to commit such malicious actions to survive… but there was clearly no choice.

    Celestine had heard Jonah’s words, muffled slightly by the blizzard. She remained quiet, but she could hear his blade slicing through flesh with more ease than there should have been. She closed her eyes, tears wetting them before almost instantly freezing. She did not want this. She wanted to be home, more than anything. She began to channel her Mana, preparing to cast a spell…

  15. Seeing the man, she smirked at the thought of her glaive protruding from his skull. The smirk did not last, as the man suddenly moved faster than thought possible. He nearly vanished, reappearing briefly to restore a bit of his energy. Then he was in front her with a knife in hand. Then there was nothing. Pain surged throughout Nita's body, but she could not see where she was injured. She could not see the man. She could not see. With a howl of rage, Nita struck out wildly before withdrawing a few steps, brushing past Arnem...

    Who was quickly making her counterattack against the deadly fast humanoid. Shoving Nita out of harms way, Arnem raised her arm, metallic finger extended. With a swift poke at the air, she situated into a defensive form.

    Jonah had been satisfied. The woman with the glaive had thought too highly of herself, and that was her downfall. He saw the flaming outline of the glaive, lashing out at him in wild anger, in his Mana-vision. With this knowledge, he dodged the attack with relative ease. Unfortunately, another more brutish figure took the place of the woman who had no knowledge for patience. The figure had weakened him; he felt slightly feebler from succumbing to the needles that seemed to protrude from his skin. In retaliation, Jonah coldly smirked, “A well-aimed shot. Now, let me reciprocate.” His dagger in hand once more, he left a series of gouges upon the looming figure in front of him…

    Celestine watched this horrific display through the crystalline formation of ice in between her and the battle. It seemed that Jonah was retreating from his assailants. …Does he need me? she thought to herself, feeling more useless than ever. She quickly finished the spell she had been casting, summoning the hulking figure of a bull to the battlefield. Its ethereal figure charged directly through the ice, completely unfazed, and without losing any sort of momentum. The powerful bull trampled the giant being of armour, stomping on it mercilessly before disappearing altogether. Celestine rushed to Jonah’s aid, ready to help him should he ask…

  19. Immune fades...

    The armor was not as tough as one would expect. It couldn't be if it were to bind properly. Thus, the blade sank through with relative ease. Regardless of the pain she received, Arnem did not so much as grunt.

    "Let's take this guy out before anything else. I want to see his blood spread abroad like... like... oh it doesn't matter!"

    Arnem halted a moment, pondering, before she spoke. "I strike... you strike..." With that, she took a step forward and began punching...

    Nita followed Arnem's sound, but kept her distance, and without hesitation or question as to where her blade would collide, she swung the mighty glaive across, releasing a mighty ripple of black magic. I can't miss if I hit everything.
