Pokémon X and Y

Discussion in 'Miscellaneous Conjectures' started by Lord X-Giga-X, Jan 8, 2013.

  1. So, I had caught a Trevenant, but I screwed up EV training it (I'm not even finished with the /story/ yet, but hey. It's easy to EV train now. Unfortunately, I had ZERO luck getting a reset bag. This really stunk because the Trevenant is Adamant and has Natural Cure.

So anyway, decided to do a "Which comes first, getting another good natured Trevenant with Natural Cure or a Reset bag?"

After 12 Trevenants, a Zoroark, a Shiny Amoonguss, and too many NOT reset bags to count (Including 3 Soothing bags, might I add), I finally got ANOTHER... Fairly good Trevenant... With Gentle.

Not as good as Adamant, but hey, it works.

    Gotta love that Nateluck

  2. I feel like an idiot for completely forgetting that I had a Smoke Ball in my bag for about 11 days when I could have just equipped it to Lileep to make this fishing thing a hell of a lot easier.

Ah well, I guess since I have it, I'm gonna try consecutive fishing in Route 21 and see what that gets me...
    EDIT: A Dragonair!
... And that's pretty much it. A Dragonair. Streak broke shortly after that.

EDIT 2: And I got another shiny Clawitzer!

  3. Nate you can grow the EV-reducing berries by mutation

  4. So in addition to finding 2 shiny Clawitzers, I managed to find a Super Size Pumpkaboo.

Note to those looking for one: Super Size has a slightly different cry from Average, Small, and Large Sizes. You should be able to tell the difference quickly, depending on how often you've heard the cry for the other sizes prior. Kind of a nice touch, imo

  5. Considering I was pretty much finished EV Training it before I noticed... Yeah...

Doesn't really matter though, my current Trevenant is still pretty good.

  6. A new patch is now live on the eShop. What does it do?

It fixes that Lumiose City glitch!
Oh, and it fixes a minor bug on GTS where using a filter resulted in an error message.

EDIT: Man, consecutive fishing is awesome!

... Well, when you don't spend forever on a single chain like I was for about 40 minutes! But I just found a shiny Alomomola!

EDIT 2: And after a chain even longer than that one (like ridiculously long), I have another to add to the list: Gyarados.

  7. So, let's see my shiny list so far....

2 Clawitzer (one of which was traded to Starr)
    1 Alomomola
    1 Gyarados
and 1 Poliwhirl (a few minutes before this post)

And yet Kuda still got more shinies than I have through this.

  8. Current Shiny List:

    1 Illumise I named Elektra.
    2. A Quillfish I named PURPLE. Or...so I think it's purple. I'm very colorblind.
    3. A Clawitzer I made Blendy name Furia Roja. Like the post above he traded it to me after I helped him out with stuff.

Currently hunting for more at this time using the fishing method.

  9. Dragalge, Qwilfish, two Gyarados, two Poliwhirl, Seaking, Sharpedo, and Seadra. Found a shiny Basculin but it killed itself. Currently deciding whether I want to hunt for shiny Dragonair or leave the fishing and look for shiny Noibat.

  10. Update: Got a shiny Alomomola (spelling?) and it's bio says it likes to run.

....I don't know what to think.

  11. Got a shiny Clauncher... WITH QUIET! WHICH MEANS I CAN EV TRAIN IT!

    Yay.

In other news, I did manage to finish all of the missions in Lumiose. I found the entire story there to be a bit heartwarming.

  12. Finished EV training my Noivern and renamed him Pulsar. He may go on my competitive team, but it seems his IVs are rather low; his stats are fairly poor.

  13. So I found out that it's pretty much possible to net around 1MP in a fairly short time after just spending 300KP on Writs at the Battle Chateau. Basically, I started at about 600KP, and just to test things, decided to buy the Silver (Trainers arrive a LOT more often; pretty much every time you enter another room) and Gold (Trainers give a LOT more money) Writs of Invitation, and the Red Writ of Challenge (Opponents' levels increased by 10). So I went from 600KP to 300KP, then once I got up to like over 900KP (Within about an hour or so iirc), I decided to go to a store and buy like 99 Full Restores, Revives, Escape Ropes, and maybe other things. I don't remember what I totalled here. Then now I'm up to 962KP again. And I haven't even sold any of the money items I've gotten here.

So... Yeah. Then again, I am a Duke in the Chateau, and I have the Amulet Coin. Still, it's pretty fucking amazing.

EDIT: I should mention. As far as I know, the two most important writs I used, the Silver and Gold, I'm pretty sure are available from the beginning. So as long as you have 200KP, you should be able to abuse it like this, even starting as a Baron. Just remember to periodically go to the door to see if your rank has risen.

EDIT2: Another thing. Once you get up to the Marquis (Marchioness) level, keep a lookout for the Furisode girls, and always challenge them. Their party will be all Audinos; 2 for the Marchionesses, and 3 for any level above.

  14. Sorry to Double Post, but this came up in the chat.

If Pokemon decided to do this, I will fucking die out of the pure amount of... Well, awesomeness it would be if they took something from so long ago and made something more out of it.

And you have to admit, the whole thing with the Strange Souvenir and all... I may be getting my hopes a BIIIT too high, but...

  16. Dear god. Que brujeria es eso?!

  17. Many think it's brujeria
    How he comes and disappears
    Every move will hypnotise you!

  18. To those using Wonder Trade, there's apparently been reports of Bad Eggs being tossed around.

EDIT: Geez, how'd I even? Typo fixed.

  19. Bag eggs....wh-what

  20. Probably rumors. Bad Eggs are impossible to get without hacking and Nintendo filters out hacks anyway.
