Oblivion Phantasy ~ A Decaying Flux 【RP Thread】

Discussion in 'Roleplay Archives' started by Shadow, Sep 11, 2011.

  1. Krie starts at H2.

    The path had led to quite the interesting sight: dead guys and weird statues. This place was practically screaming to be a disaster zone. Krie shrugged his shoulders, looking at a nearby corpse. "Probably stumbled upon something they shouldn't have," he stated simply, resisting the urge to walk over and kick the corpse. Maybe they had something useful on them or something to that accord. There was no telling. His gaze slowly and dramatically turned over to the statues. The hell...? he thought to himself. What the fuck were they? They were quiet. Ominous. What did their presence mean for the group? Over in the distance was their way to continue onwards, but it was hard to just leave this sight so easily. There was a lot going on, obviously, so might as well stick around and figure out what.

  2. Toiran raised an eyebrow as he caught sight of the corpses. Well, that certainly can't be good, He thought to himself. He glanced at Ariyou, whose gaze was fixed on something to the right. Toiran looked over to see what the wolf was so transfixed by, and narrowed his eyes as he caught sight of the statues. "Stay back, Ariyou," the man muttered to his wolf, who took a few steps back, whining anxiously but obeying his master's command.

    Toiran looked at the continuation of the passage, then returned his gaze to the statues. "Well, what should we do here? Continue on our path, or...?" As he trailed off, a glint of excitement appeared in his eyes.

    [Toiran starts at I3]

    (Yes, that is the only way I could figure out how to keep Ariyou out of the probable fight until I can actually summon him. :|)

  3. [Kirin starts at H4; Weapon "gunlance" selected]

    Exiting the cave, Kirin came into relatively large chamber filled with dead things and some rocky things. Whoohoo. Then she noticed what was beyond the statues. "Oh nelly! That's quite a mesh of materials..."

    Her sense of danger was stabbing into the back of her neck. This whole situation screamed trap. So, naturally, she decided to spring the trap. Placing her long sword and the bowgun; which were strapped to her back, expertly seperated as to not damage eachother; and placed them to lean against a wall within the cave. She situated herself, with her gunlance, next to the forward pillar, examining the statues from her vantage point.

  4. [Hiiro starts in cell H3]

    Hiiro weaved his way next to Kirin and Toiran, glancing around at the surroundings. The corpses, heavily decomposed, were very foreboding. The statues gave a strange presence that Hiiro could tangibly feel, making him slightly uncomfortable. He knew that there had to be something up with this place, but he simple could not identify what it was.

  5. [Hendrix starts at I4. Weapon form: Dagger]

    (Will edit later, on phone currently)

  6. {Kaya starts at I2!}

    Kaya was the last to emerge from the winding tunnel, passing the wolf named Ariyou, and entering a slightly larger chamber not dissimilar to the one they had previously been trapped inside of. She let out a sigh of relief, not seeing any of the Funnelers from the preceding room in the dimly-lit cavern. The dull, prevalent light of the Earth Mana Crystals was all that was left of the haunting remains scattered about on the floor. Interesting... she thought to herself. The only indications of an assailant were the two ostentatious statuettes floating ominously in place.

    The illusionist took her place amongst her companions, not having much room as they crowded the way from the tight, compact space they had been in moments prior. She was intrigued by the bodies strewn across the floor, and even more so by the statues that almost seemed to be guarding something. It was only a matter of how much time such investigations would take; the commander was waiting on this team to be on time and finish Operation Flash… though she knew that this could prove much more useful.

    Well you lot, I figure some exploration is in order! I think I’ll be taking whatever loot these corpses have. Krie, was it? You ought to check out the statues over there,” she said, clearly noting her ally’s intrigue towards the looming figures. “Hiiro, Hendrix, you wouldn’t mind accompanying our fine new friend now, would you?” With a chuckle, she quietly noted to herself to not leave Krie unattended. His mannerism quite shocked her initially, but he could serve to be a valid companion... should necessary precautions be taken.

    Taroh, Nicoro. What is keeping the two of you so long? It’d be nice if you were here when we start our full investigation!

  7. (Taroh starts at I1)
    (Nicoro Starts at I5)

  9. Krie moves to F3.

    Krie shrugged his shoulders and started making his way over to the statues. He wanted to mess with the corpse a little, but Kaya was right about his intrigue in the statues. "I'll just let someone else have fun with the dead stuff," he uttered nonchalantly and stopped. Upon closer inspection now, there was definitely something beyond the statues. But what the hell were they? It had to be something good. Maybe something those miners tried to reach but failed miserably? Krie's fierce, uncaring gaze rested upon the statues. There was SOMETHING about them. Heh heh, let's see if I regret getting closer, he thought, smirking evilly in his mind, yet keeping his typical demeanor on the outside.

    Krie waits.

  10. [Toiran moves to G3]

    (I swear I'll edit this later, in a rush because my mom's being annoying and my netbook's low on charge.)

  11. Hiiro nodded at Kaya's "orders," despite being only mildly interested in the statues, he figured that there was not much else to do in this small passage. As Krie began to walk himself towards the statue, Hiiro followed him, despite his discomfort with the man.

    [Hiiro moves to cell F4]
    [Hiiro waits...]

  12. Kirin took a few steps and took in the entire chamber. It wasn't much to look at. She decided to move toward the statues. They looked interesting... sturdy... "Those would sculpt a nice hammer..."

    [Kirin moves to F5]

  13. (Nicoro moves to cell G4)

    Nicoro excited pushed ahead of the crowd, excited that he was getting to explore a passage that he helped create, he had wondered were his caster had gone off to, his refusal to be carried had made them late to arrival on the scene. When he finally got into a good position he noticed the ground was littered the corpses, which Krie seemed to take an... interest in. He noticed that to his right was a small opening, next to two statues that seemed to have more mana then an average mesh of minerals should. "Hey guys" he announced "I'm going to check that little indent over there."

    Taroh crawled over into a corner by a support post. He should have went though more physical training at Aria of Order, instead of just using Nicoro to cheat his way out of the regulations. He huddled up next to the support and hoped that Nicoro would be preoccupied for long enough for him to get some rest.

  14. Following the orders from Kaya, Hendrix followed the two in front of him toward the statues. Since it seemed like the other two were going towards the closer statue, he made his way to the statue located at the other end of the room. Hendrix didn't want to go near the person known as Krie and the statues as well. When he passed a certain point he saw some treasure chests near to where they appeared. He looked at the statues in front of them and realized that they were guardians for the treasure. If any of them were to go near them, the statues would lose their neutral status and attack them.

    "Hey guys I see some treasure, but don't go near them." Hendrix warned the rest of the group. "We might spring a trap if we touch them. These statues might be the guardians."

    [Hendrix moves to E5]
    [Hendrix waits...]

  15. {Kaya moves to G2 [I2 - H2 - G2]}
    {Kaya activates Trigger Command: Examine! [Corpse Cell, G1]}

    Kaya oversaw the frenzy of Team Delta-Q scrambling about and bumping into one another. She sighed, waiting for the insanity to die down a little bit before moving into the open, taking her place beside a corpse that had been lying near the mouth of the cavern. Prodding it with the edge of her staff, the illusionist crouched down in order to get a closer look… though her mind was on the looming statues on the opposite side of the room. Their ominous presence unnerved her slightly, though she knew that the bodies, such as the one before her, must have met with a much worse fate.

    She kept this in mind as she rummaged through the possessions of the deceased, feeling slight remorse for her actions. Shaking her head in order to clear out any thoughts, she waited patiently for any indications from her allies…

    ~ Neutral Phase I ~

    If it weren't for the fact several members of the party were looking at the Rock and Earth Guardians, nobody would have noticed them move. The imposing statue-like figures of rock and mineral produced a low rumbling noise as they strafed to the right and left, respectively, and nothing else. They seemingly didn't see the group as a threat--but were cautious of the treasure behind they were created to protect at all costs.

  17. Krie moves to D4.

    The man just laughed. There was nothing else he could think to do. The statues had been in one place, and now it was quite obvious that they were in another, closing the gap that led to the small alcove containing...something he wasn't so sure of yet. As he navigated closer, a light bulb went off in his deranged mind: treasure. "Guardians of some hidden treasure, eh?" he scoffed and pulled out his scythe. "Seems as though they're not in a sharing mood right now," he growled, slamming the end of his weapon into the ground in frustration. They were going to seal off the alcove making it impossible to get inside...unless the statues were hacked down. A delighted and malicious grin crept upon his face as his gaze remained fixed on the statues.

    Krie waits.

  18. {Kaya moves to E2 [G2 - F2 - E2]}
    {Kaya waits...}

    Rummaging through the belongings of the corpse, Kaya smiled as she found a pair of empty vials that seemed to have no significance, as well as a small, purple ‘amulet’ of sorts. She quickly pocketed these items, deciding it best to share her findings later than to instantly begin showing off. Standing up, she walked towards another corpse on the other side of the room, casting a glance through the mess of people to see that the statues had moved without her watching… they looked more menacing now that Team Delta-Q was converging on their treasures.

    Guys… be careful. The statues are obviously guarding something for a reason. Don’t want to meet the same fate as our lovely corpse friends, yeah?” She wasn’t about to stop them from going after the treasure, as she was curious herself as to what was beyond the tiny opening between the two statues. What the miners before them had died for…

  19. (Nicoro moved to E4)
    (Nicoro examined the corpse)

    Taroh peeked out to see his ally Kaya removing items from a nearby dead body. "EWWWWWW" he whined in a voice that somehow sounded both disgusted and monotone. "Kaya, that's really gross." He hid back behind the post, and focused on his casting, the only thing he was any good for. Meanwhile, Taroh rushed up to the nearist corpse and started excitedly digging though it to see if anything of interest could be found, he left no part unchecked and took great joy in messing with the flesh as he went, though, in the middle of the battled he processed the calls of his allies from before. Obviously the guardians wanted to stop anyone from getting the treasure... but what if an unstoppable force were to go for it? He decided that as soon as he finished his search, he would make a mad dash for the loot. He decided not to announce this plan, as it may cause the statues to attack.

  20. As Hiiro looked past the crevice to see what those statues hid behind them, the two earthen figures moved slowly, giving a low rumble as they did so. If only because of this movement, Hiiro knew that there had to be something behind them, but figured that it would be best if someone else were to go after them, in case something were to happen with these statues. Despite his lack of an ability to control mana, Hiiro could tell that these things were exuding a great deal of mana, since they seemed to be creations of only rock and mana.

    "I'll back you guys up here," the karateka said, eyeing the statues suspiciously, "the last thing you want is to be trapped behind these things.

    [Hiiro waits...]
