Oblivion Phantasy ~ A Decaying Flux 【RP Thread】

  1. "It is a pleasure to meet you, Hiiro," Serenity greeted back to the fighter, a soft smile in place. She then placed a delicate hand against her breast. "My name is Serenity. Did you have a restful sleep? It is good that you awoke in time for things to start. It's going to be little rough but if you need any healing, I would be more than happy to help with that." As a supporter, it was best of her to just stay on the sidelines and maybe help out whenever she had the time. However, Serenity noticed their opponents seemed quite powerful and it seemed she wouldn't be able to help in the damage department. She supposed she could wait until someone was hurt so as to converse her mana.

    Serenity silently wondered how long she would have to wait for that to happen.

    {Wisp Cell moves to I5 [K4 - J4 - J5 - I5]}

    Toiran and Krie had begun to move about, creeping around opposite sides of the expansive hub of Level Four of the Complex. The two of them would make up the bulk of the attack, while Kaya would attempt to make diplomatic amends with the two confused individuals in the centre of the room - including and especially the target they had come to rescue from the Complex in the first place. Before she could do that, however, she would need to first make her way undetected to the centre of the room. Now’s as good a time as any to start trying some new tactics… she thought to herself, already channeling her Mana into a concentrated portal, which she willed forward, inching it to the centre of the room. She chuckled as Serenity’s innocence made itself clearer, though she didn’t dare distract herself from her task of moving the wispy portal. Just her way of speaking in itself seemed to give her the air of innocence and childishness… it would prove interesting to see what happened from here on in.
     
  3. Chapter I ~ IV: Reverse Encounter


    Location: Minerva Complex - Level 4 HUB

    Objective: Protect Chiasma! Convince the Neutral Party to side with the Player Party!

    Atmosphere: One Step Away: MP Costs for Player and Neutral Characters are Decreased by 25%.

    Energy Condition: Miasma of Mana: Special Command: Cycle Mana! will Restore 7% and 12% Max MP, respectively, but the Unit involved will take 5% Max HP Damage.

    ~ Neutral Phase I ~


    They were closing in. The Guard Knights took a couple of steps forward, heavy armor clanking against the concrete ground, swords menacingly drawn; the Minerva Scholar opened his tome nonchalantly as he walked forward, preparing his Mana for imminent combat. Anima glanced towards the other group, and indeed--they were, too, approaching them. He felt hopelessly trapped. Unable to change the variables that had lead them abruptly to this room with no immediate exits.

    "Chiasma, for you," Spirit Energy charged with the power of a mystic, mostly-forgotten elemental affinity gathered around him as Anima tapped for certain spiritual wavelength--one of energy. He felt his Mana Cycle flow more vigorously, awaiting for the trigger that would channel and greatly refill his body Mana reserves, "I-I will take them," she continued, glancing at Team Delta-Q before positioning herself right in front of the phantasmal wisp. It seemed to be harmless by itself, but one could never know. Magic could be so unpredictable--the amount of different techniques that could be executed by its usage could be even called "infinite", "If something goes wrong, y-you can always esca--"

    "No, I will not leave you here." he broke his own concentration. That was impossible. After she had come all the way from their peaceful hometown he had been dragged from, there was absolutely no way he could leave his best friend at the Minerva Complex. Hoping for Anima to not continue, Chiasma turned to face the facility personnel. He concentrated again, to access a power buried deep within... He wasn't quite sure how he performed this feat, but if it had worked before, it was bound to work again in this situation.

    Krie let out a slight laugh as his eyes opened wide all of a sudden. They rested upon an approaching complex knight. His hands trembled causing his scythe blade to rattle against the floor. The brute licked his lips and grinned widely, his face contorting into one of craving--yearning for something he had yet to grasp in this battle. "I can't help feeling a little...frisky, in times like these, heh heh," he uttered aloud in a deathly normal tone. "It's so hard to control sometimes, you know?!" He let out a sudden burst of echoing laughter as his hands gripped the handle of his scythe tightly and he rushed forward. Skidding to a halt, he raised his weapon and pointed at one of the true enemies, the knight closest to him. He tilted his head and looked innocently at the man, his crazed expression obscuring the intent to confuse him. "Can you give me what I desire? Just a drop...or a stream...or a flood! A mighty tide of that crimson pleasure, sweeping me away, heh heh!!" His grin faded suddenly and he grimaced, his eyes growing stern, gleaming with the malice. "I will have it. By whatever means."

    Still focused on the manipulation of the wisp she had created, Kaya’s concentration was such that she almost did not blink. Her eyes remained entirely glued to the wisp until she was able to put it into its desirable position - right beside the ultimate goal of Team Delta-Q, the man known as Chiasma. The illusionist let out a breath she did not know she had been keeping, thinking to herself, Those two seem afraid… as though they are cornered. Don’t they know we’re on their side…? Shrugging, she turned her head. Hiiro, now seemed absolutely paralyzed, and had not spoken since introducing himself to Serenity… “Not sure what you did to him, Serenity… but please, snap him out of it!” she then turned her head back to Krie, yelling out at the man, “Your stone man seems to be back, Krie. Too bad you’re a bit… busy.” she shuddered. She did not want to get in the way of Krie and his blood.

    Out of the corner of her eye - from the entrance to Level Four that the team had burst through in order to reach the room they presently occupied - she saw Hendrix, practically leaping at the chance to get back into the fray. “Well c’mon then, boy! Get in here!” she called out to the young weapon master, hoping he would be of use in this fight. His sudden slip into shock in their last battle had rendered him next-to-helpless, but this… this boded better, if only slightly, in Kaya’s eyes.

    Now for the tricky part… Kaya thought to herself, immediately phasing out of reality, as the wisp that had been strategically placed beside the two companions in the centre of the room opened wide, revealing that it had been a portal the entire time. Materializing, Kaya stepped forth from the portal, the tip of her staff blazing with a familiar fire. Immediately, a flaming serpent jutted forth from her staff, forcing itself directly into the guard knight in front of them. It coiled around the knight’s armour, before plunging its venomous fangs right into the skin beneath said armour.

    Sorry to startle you,” Kaya said plainly, casting a sidelong glance at the two companions, but still in a battle stance, “I’m Kaya Escala, part of a team that was sent to help you out, Chiasma… though I see that you have had little trouble with that yourself. The rest of my team is behind us.” waved behind her, trying to get the attention of Team Delta-Q. “Don’t be too alarmed; I know you’re confused at this point, but we’re here to help!
     
  6. Seeing that Kaya noticed him, Hendrix made his way to the field. The last battle he was in was a total disaster for him, so with this he must prove himself again. "Sorry I'm late to the party guys." He said to his group as he stared at the opponents. "Just had to get a little stronger so I can beat these guys' asses." With a smirk on his face, Xanzibar shifted into it's Long sword form and Hendrix took a fighting stance as he looked over at Krie in front of him. Here's the fighting maniac, hopefully he won't attack me on "accident".

  7. "Eh?" Serenity blinked rapidly, confused. "How strange. He was just talking normally a while ago." She tilted her head curiously before turning her head and noticing another member of the group. "Oh, hello." She smiled pleasantly at the new man, giving him a small bow. "I am Serenity. I will be a part of the group for a while. Pleased to make your acquaintance." She then noticed Kaya disappear from her side and over to the middle. She blinked, surprised but also pleased. It was a nice trick, still rather liked it. Smiling softly, Serenity took a look around before deciding on a course of action.

    Though the center two were still rather hostile, she was quite sure Kaya would be able to get through to them and so, headed up a little. Still, as she had said before, Serenity did not wish to get in the way of the group and so, did not move all the way up. Instead, she moved a little off to the side, closer to where the scythe bearer was. Something told her he was rather reckless and might just be the first to need healing.
     
  8. Toiran looked over at Hendrix, raising an eyebrow. "It's about time you helped," he said plainly. To hell with beating around the bush. Without another word to the weapons expert, Toiran turned away and went back to surveying the enemy group. They seemed to be moving forward rather aggressively; the thing to do now was prepare and wait for them to come into weapon range. Straight into the bait of the trap. He nodded to Nixis, who took off, running next to some rubble- and sat there, looking for all the world a simple animal, looking at the guard knight nearest her coyly as if daring him to come at her. Toiran, on the other hand, moved forward a bit farther than Nixis had- standing by until the guard knight got close enough, like Nixis had done, whip at the ready.

    "So THOSE are the shits who made it through here!?" the Guard Knight practically screamed at them, coughing sharply in between every few words as the venom injected by the serpent of flames launched by the Illusionist coursed through his veins. He rushed forward, nevertheless, and powerfully slashed the girl who had attacked him, blade mercilessly piercing both cloth and skin alike. This would not come without consequences, as Louis realized they were far more than they had originally expected--a team consisting in at least five members currently in battle, not counting the distant shapes that were probably the reinforcements from beyond the annihilated door.

    "Roland, Louis!" the second Guard Knight addressed his companions rather hurriedly, "Concentrate on the fugitive! If he is down, then surely the other support squadrons will wipe the rest!" and having ordered so, he approached the man from the side, and swung as fast and hard as he could muster.

    Anima cautiously gazed at the drifting wisp, expecting as if to explode in any second. Instead, it expanded into an ethereal portal, with the Illusionist surging from it, "Sorry to startle you," she said, "I’m Kaya Escala, part of a team that was sent to help you out, Chiasma…"

    "How do you know his-- CHIASMA!"

    He did not see it coming. Twin slashers crossed the Guard Knight from opposite directions, actually managing to somewhat pierce the armor of steel he was wielding. They had appeared from literally nowhere, as if defying the very continuum of reality, fading into oblivion as they sliced at his enemy in mid-swing. But it did not stop him. A line of steel across a concentrating Chiasma, followed by a flash of vicious crimson. The world seemed to burst into focus. In a maneuver so swift and precise he wouldn't have thought of possible, he sent both of his weapons soaring through the air in response, the entire flow of time delaying everything else. He saw them being thrown. He felt them leave his grasp.

    Pain shot throughout the contact point, his open coat soaking with fresh blood pulsing out from the deep gash in his flesh. He suppressed a scream filled with the agony caused by such devastating attack--he did not want to show weakness that would discourage a concerned Anima. Recovering rather quickly, Chiasma narrowly dodged a ball of flames, which hit the Pulse Tapper in his stead. Shit. He tightened the grip of both aerodynamic blades--which were, quite paradoxically, still there--as he felt a familiar power surge within him. Lines, with no discernible height, width or depth, shot through the entire area, all going through the Mortal Slasher to transmit a certain, nearly esoteric power before melding with the very air, disappearing completely.

    Even he was unsure what exactly he was doing, or from where--who?--he was drawing energy from, but if it worked with no consequences that would negatively impact on him or his surroundings, it was fine. Or so he thought. One thing was for sure, it was not Mana.

    "I..." he struggled to regain his breath, trying to maintain his composure, "...am fine. It's nothing serious."

    "N-nothing serious!? Shit, just get behind! Go!" the Pulse Tapper commanded, to which Chiasma almost staggered to rush into seemingly-safe grounds. Anima shot a glare at the Illusionist, pointing her fan menacingly towards her, ignoring the fact Kaya had just taken a powerful strike herself, "And you...! For all I know, you could be part of another government to use his abilities for their own purpose!"

    "MAN, they just can't get any more stupid, can they?!" Krie exclaimed, one of his eyes twitching slightly as he glared at the guard nearest him with a maniacal grin. He thrust his scythe into the air and let out a mighty roar as he channeled mana which blazed into life in the form of a red aura around him, the crimson tendrils reaching around the handle of the man's weapon until they curled around the very blade itself, bursting into life. Bringing the scythe down, he pulled it back and then swung it around, embedding the blade as deep as he could into the guard that had been foolish enough to get so close to him. "I blame the education systems," Krie mumbled with a surprising bit of sophistication as he brought his scythe back to him and examined the blade, dripping with blood. He ran a finger along the length, covering the digit in oozing crimson essence before bringing it to his mouth and wrapping his tongue around it. His eyes seemed to shine with delight, and he closed them in pleasure as he savored the metallic flavor. "If only there were better teachers. Perhaps I'll do some teaching while I'm here?! Heh heh heh..." He paused for a moment and readied his scythe. "You'll learn so much that you might even....lose those heads of yours."

  11. And it seemed she was wrong right off the bat. Then again, Kaya had practically rushed into the fray, it would be something of a miracle if she hadn't been hurt. Still, Serenity wasn't going to just leave her as she was. Though one of the unknown factors-Chiasma, was it?-was also injured, he had been able to run for cover. Kaya was still close and would most likely be attacked again. That wouldn't do at all. Luckily, Serenity found she was close enough to relieve the woman of some of her pain. Raising her staff, she hummed softly to herself as white light began to light around the Illusionist. They seeped into her wounds, healing most of the damage.

    "There, that should do it," Serenity said, smiling softly at her work. Though it didn't heal all her injuries, it was enough in the acolyte's opinion. As long as nobody took any devastating damage, they would be fine. That was what she thought, anyway. Her blue eyes then wandered over to the injured sword wielding male and she moved over to him.

    "Are you alright?" she inquired, a touch of worry in her tone. Her hand raised itself and hovered over one of his bleeding wounds. "Oh dear, I did not notice how severe this was. I apologize, will you allow me to take care of this? Though I will not be able to completely seal the wound, I can impede its bleeding and hopefully knit the skin back together." Serenity raised her eyes to meet the male's, no hint of ill intentions in her features. Then, they shifted, her focus suddenly on the female behind him. "Oh, your friend has been hurt as well. Oh no. Would you rather I heal her instead?"
     
  12. Toiran kept his expression neutral as the one with Chiasma lashed out verbally at Kaya. It could easily be worse, she could have attacked. But still, it wouldn't do to have the two against them. Perhaps showing more willingness to help the two would win them over, and the enemies had to be taken out anyway. Toiran didn't even have to nod- Nixis simply darted forward, fire now swirling about her tail, and tossed the flames at a guard knight, following it with a rasp of a bark as if a small fox could intimidate a man in armor. Toiran just kept edging forward, his eyes locked onto the position of the one who had not moved. He was obviously there for a reason. No matter. An enemy was an enemy.

    "And you...! For all I know, you could be part of another government to use his abilities for their own purpose!"

    Kaya was caught slightly off-guard by the girl's sudden lashing out at her. She hardly had any time to react due to the searing pain she had endured from the guard knight's blade. Her power seemed to seep out of her, trickling through her fingers like a child learning that holding onto water is impossible. In the flurry of motion, she simply snapped. The stress of Team Delta-Q added up within her was about to release itself in a dance of Mana and complicated spells.

    Immediately, Kaya set about trying to guard her target and his companion. She released a flurry of razor-sharp shards of snow towards the distant knight. A magnificent display of the blinding, crystalline fragments ensued, as they pierced his veil of powerful armour with relative ease due to their magical composition. Kaya sidestepped elegantly away from the closer knight - the one who had slashed her, blood still trickling from the fresh wound despite Serenity's efforts to heal her.

    "You're right, girl," the illusionist began in a tone so icy calm and patient that one might wonder if the Mana-created ice shards she had manifested before had not come from her tongue, instead, "and if I were you I wouldn't trust a shady band of mercenaries either... but we're here to give you a hand out of here. You can take what you want from that. Take our help now..." Kaya trailed off in a hushed tone to the girl, releasing tendrils of light to emphasize her point. They danced around the girl, before finishing their work and moving onto Chiasma himself, mending his wounds simultaneously, "Or leave it. Though, I doubt you'll get a similar offer from the oh-so-fair staff of this Complex." Her resolve was unwavering. The bitter chill in her voice mildly resembled Krie's icy-cool nature...

    Kaya shivered quietly to herself, To think... I'm becoming more and more a lunatic myself. She cast a sidelong glance at her companion, the bloodlust clear on his face as he slashed through the armour of her previous assailant. It almost made her sick, though she was eternally glad to not be on the other side of that malevolant grin. Without warning, she twisted her own staff once more, releasing the serpent-shaped flame to plunge through the skin of the same knight Krie was now after. Bloody hell, the carnage never ends...

    She took a quick mental survey of her allies. Toiran was surely behind her, and Krie directly in front, behind the heavily-armed knights. Hendrix was... poised to strike, she hoped. And Serenity was nearby, poised to heal should the situation demand it of her. After relieving Kaya herself of her wounds, the illusionist was very grateful to the young acolyte. "Thank you, Serenity, but I believe the focus ought to be on these two." She nodded at Chiasma and his companion, and with a weary grin, added, "I'm expendable."

    ~ Enemy Phase III ~


    The Guard Knights were soon enveloped by the flurry of Mana launched by the majority of Team Delta-Q. The veil of dissipating elemental energy revealed the weakened forms of both men, great shields raised in an albeit failed attempt to mitigate the damage done. Who would have thought their numbers would be this high--greatly surpassing those of the individual squadrons dispatched to deal with the intruders? The Minerva Scholar, unharmed throughout the battle, stepped forward, a display of turquoise Mana forming from the tome he held. The leading Guard Knight spat on the ground as he composed himself. He approached the one who had freed Chiasma in the first place, Anima, and swung his broadsword at her with impressive strength. Louis did the same, instead targeting the Illusionist who had so boldly unleashed a barrage of magic upon them.

    ~ Neutral Phase III ~


    Anima froze on the spot, Kaya's words resounding deeply even thought the Illusionist had stopped speaking seconds ago. She did not care about the chill touch of her voice, but rather, the conflicting implications in choosing to either trust or not trust them. As she moved her lips ever so slightly to utter a response, a sphere of compact ice collided with her body, having been fired from an angle by the Minerva Scholar. She immediately projected an ethereal shell of a mysterious power that was much unlike Mana as the ball shattered like glass upon contact, spreading an icy mist with a faint tinge of cyan in it. The fog dispersed, and although the actual strength of spell was rather negligible, the active Ice Mana attempted to cling into their bodies in an attempt to encase them in a thin layer of frost. Fortunately, neither Chiasma or Anima were completely affected by it, but the same could not be said about Kaya.

    Metal cut through the fabric of the Pulse Tapper's kimono, easily reaching flesh. As one would expect, it was almost useless in protecting her from physical assaults--and the Guard Knights specialized in just that. She staggered back slightly, gritting her teeth as the sting of the slash ensued almost immediately after. Two slashers appeared from the corner of her vision, one curving around expertly around the heap of metal which once belonged to the impressive gate. The slashers converged into the Pulse Tapper's assailant, easily ripping through the armor like if it was plastic, then curving back to the Mortal Slasher. Chiasma caught his weapons easily after his attack was done, nodding at a thoughtful Anima. It had to be now.

    The Pulse Tapper accumulated the ethereal, almost otherworldly energy as it suddenly flowed out of her body, suddenly contracting it into a yellow, unshaped clump which swirled around her hand multiple times; she pointed her open palm towards the unfortunate Illusionist and the mass was sent at her. Instead of directly reacting upon contact, it was... diminished,absorbed by an unseen point in her. An instant after it disappeared completely, a faintly yellow aura projected around Kaya as the gash the Guard Knight had just caused faded into a minuscule scrape.

    "Fine." She replied loudly enough for the others nearby to hear as she accomplished this feat. A pause. Then, in a mumble only Anima would hear, she added, "Even though I still don't trust them... this could be the only way."

    Chiasma glanced to the female who had shown genuine concern. He had been healed by tendrils of Light Mana which had enveloped and closed his major injury. Perhaps the diplomatic mage who intended to talk to them was right? He was definitely their target but... one could never know. "I am fine but... Who exactly are you?"

  15. Krie moves to F7.

    The guard knight had run away. The crazed slayer seemed to grin with utmost glee at that fact, though he was displeased that the man had turned his attacks on someone else. In an instant, he was near the man, a trail of lingering read aura tracing the path Krie had taken to reach him. "See? He's learning his lessons, though not all the way!" he exclaimed with a certain joviality. Krie cocked his head as he raised his scythe, bringing down ferociously upon the fellow twice, his eyes focusing sharply on the crimson that sprayed from the man's wounds and tainted the ground. The blood on the floor was so appealing, he nearly felt like crawling along the ground to lick it up--to drink from the pool of blood as animals drink from the watering hole. One of his eyes twitched, but he kept his weapon poised, posture straight. He almost seemed gentlemanly and he would have been given a different state of mind. For now, however, he only deigned to see a world of red. His knuckles were turning white as his grip on his scythe grew tighter at the thoughts that only seemed to stimulate his strength. The red aura around him flickered, lashing out at the surrounding air and he was quiet. Eerily so.

  16. Another blast of fire struck the knight as Nixis stood, bristling. How dare he attack her master's allies! She gave a short, angry bark once the fire left her tail to hit the knight, and remained standing there, glaring at the man. Toiran, however, stepped forward slightly. He looked upon the scholar with a hunter's indifference. "Come now, surely you realize you're not going to win?" He asked, sounding bored. He lashed the whip at the man as he continued, "Just save everyone the trouble and give up."

  17. Serenity shook her head at Kaya's words, something rising in her chest upon hearing them. The seeming ever present smile on her face faltered and something like confusion entered her eyes. It then disappeared in a blink and Serenity was back to smiling. Except it was no longer warm and welcoming but pained and almost bitter. The light that glimmered around her dimmed, as if responding to her mood.

    She opened her mouth to speak but was interrupted by the onslaught of attacks from their enemies. Though she was not their target, Serenity still had to pause and assess the damage. The two they had just allied themselves to were the most wounded, it seemed. Kaya, unfortunately, was encased in ice and there was nothing she could do about that. Serenity made a mental note to speak to the illusionist about her words after the battle.

    "My name is Serenity, though we will have to finish the introductions after this, I believe," the acolyte replied to Chiasma's question once the attack had stopped and she could now do her duty and support the group. Holding her staff out in front of her, she pointed it toward Chiasma's companion and white light swirled around the female, healing her of most of her injuries. "I apologize for not being able to do more."

    ~ Neutral Phase IV ~


    The glint of horizontal steel in the darkened chamber, and the remaining soldier, who had used the last of his strength to perform one final, almost desperate attack, collapsed in the unforgiving floor. Two of the Minerva Complex Guard Knights had fallen from their combat wounds. Neither Chiasma or Anima could tell if the armored men had truly died, but even if they had, it would not matter. While the hired personnel had been ordered to apprehend them both, these... strange persons certainly showed absolutely no intention in doing so. The man looked directly at his friend's eyes--embodying the serenity of the blue sea--before she gave a nod. The grip on his slashers tightened as he dashed past Anima. Was it the right thing to do, to trust these strangers? A glimpse of crackling lightning, the flashing visage of zigzagging tendrils of electricity spreading and viciously hitting another, the one who had just struck with the whip.

    He would ask questions later, and he was sure he would be asked some too. Chiasma stopped next to the scythe-wielding man with the lunatic aura which wavered unstably--or rather, aggressively?--and with a swift motion, another glint of launched steel. The thrown weapon curved unexpectedly, describing a flawless circular motion, grazing the scholar several times in its trajectory before returning to him. It would seem as if he had missed completely, but the very air around the place the slasher had been moments ago... changed. Distorted. Reshaped. Sharpened fragments of it crossed the area in completely scattered manner, a brief vortex of wild gusts engulfing his form.

    They soon dispersed, the technique immediately losing its effect. The brutalized body that belonged to the Minerva Scholar lay in an awkward position, bleeding profusely from myriad gashes streaking across its torn robes, exposing gashed flesh. Silence drowned the room.

  19. With the battle over, Serenity brought a hand to her chest and murmured a soft prayer. As if answering her, a soft light emitted from the sun necklace hanging around her neck. In seconds, Serenity felt her mana return to her and whispered a soft thank you as the glow faded. She then turned to face the frozen Kaya and paralyzed Toiran. Inhaling deeply, she began to chant softly to herself, her hand out in front of her. A white mist slowly formed above her palm and, raising her hand, she blew at it toward the two incapacitated ones. The mist swirled around them, relieving them of their ailments. Smiling, Serenity directed her staff at the wounded, healing them of their injuries.

    "Is everyone alright?" she inquired, eying each and every one of them to make sure she hadn't missed anyone.
     
  20. The hungry look disappeared in the slayer's eyes as the red aura surrounding him diffused into the air becoming nothing. Taking a deep breath, the brute slammed the butt of his scythe into the ground and surveyed the fallen. The sight of the dead bodies inspired a content grin to creep upon his face. In the end, they were just doing their job, but he couldn't help think about how hard they failed at it. "Whoever hired these guys needs to check applications a bit more thoroughly, heh heh," he spoke aloud to no one in particular, shrugging his shoulders with a relaxed confidence. After taking in the scene for just a small bit longer, his eyes caught glimpse of the people they had aimed to aid. Kaya had mentioned that one of them was the person they were after. Krie allowed himself a chuckle; that saved them the hassle of having to go all the way to their destination to fetch the fellow. Now all they had to do was get the hell out of there, the difficulty of said task being something he began to ponder. Krie strolled over to where Kaya and the duo of odd people were standing, and of course the weird Serenity. There was something that unnerved him about her. He couldn't bring himself to look at her. She was too....radiant.

    Krie growled lightheartedly. "So what's the deal people?" he said, tucking his scythe away as to not intimidate the people he just met. The female seemed to be a bit fiesty and the male...was rather silent. He figured neither would probably scare very easily, but there was still no telling how they'd interpret his actions. Impressions are...important, heh heh heh, he thought to himself, hiding a malevolent gleam that threatened to shine through his eyes. "If we're talkin' things out, might wanna make it quick. We're still knee deep in enemy territory, not that I'd mind a little more bloodshed," he continued, grinning toothily. "But I know how the strategic ones like to avoid too much unnecessary conflict, yes? Heh heh." He crossed his burly arms across his chest and waited for things to get under way.
