Hey Guess What I Just Got!

  1. A thread inspired by, but not limited to, this lovely Steam Summer Sale!

    Here is where you share/talk about/discuss/whatever the things you've recently purchased or received and brag about how you got them and stuff.
    Pictures encouraged.

    Since the summer sale is going on right now, tho, that's where all my money is going.

    I bought Game Dev Tycoon, One Finger Death Punch, Half-Life 2, Magic 2014, and DLC Quest.
    Some of these were paid for by my trading card grinding, although most were my own money. I had a $20 real money budget that I used up on the first day : D
    Oh oh oh, I also got Risk of Rain from the wonderful @CerberusLycan

    So whatchaguys get?

  3. So far, I've bought the Spore Complete Pack, Pixel Piracy, Surgeon Simulator, and One Way Heroic.

    I haven't even gotten to $30 yet.

  4. I got dragon age origins. I've not gotten to play past the tutorial yet though.
    That brings me to %7.5 dollars so far. I'm going to be buying the last federation the last day of the sale, assuming it isn't a flash or something.

  5. 4-Pack of Risk of Rain, recently got Super Meat Boy and No Time to Explain! as well. That Complete Half-Life Pack is really tempting me...

    I'm really enjoying Risk of Rain, having bought it just a few days ago and already having unlocked four characters (my favorite being Acrid, definitely). It's a pretty hard game, though, so I'm really hoping for people to play it with me...!

  11. Got Fallout New Vegas (Only got this because it's my friend's fave game) and They Bleed Pixels because it seems fun and was cheap.

In lieu of Steam's recent spree of sales, I've gotten all of Borderlands, Borderlands 2, Cthulhu Saves the World, Darksiders II (very excited about this one), Dust: An Elysian Tail, Skyrim, Faster Than Light, Insanely Twisted Shadow Planet (wish this one didn't lag as much as it does, since it's really interesting), Shadowrun Returns, Shelter, and WARP.

    ...I feel like my wallet should be hurting but all in all that comes to <$60, I think. Add to that the fact that I got Pokemon Omega Ruby recently, and ~$100 on solely video games in the span of little more than a week sobers me a bit, but I feel like I won't be spending very much in the near future (except for $5 for League of Legends to get that Rek'Sai as soon as she comes out). I'm set for now!

    And then I go actually look at and calculate my transactions on Steam and it actually adds up to $81.64
    I blame this on my need to get the 'Game of the Year' editions of both Borderlands, and the other 'expanded' editions for Darksiders II, Skyrim, and Don't Starve...

  18. Have a Wii U and/or 3DS? Then I strongly encourage you to pitch $10 over to the Humble Bundle if you can. It'll net you 8 eShop games - well over a $50 value, and they're all quality, too! I especially am digging SteamWorld Dig right now on my Wii U. Good times.

  19. Guess what I got?!

    Well, it wasn't just anymore, but I did the other week receive a nice set of mix CDs in the mail from @"Jonno". I've been enjoying listening to the variety of sounds that have been provided to me, and especially been enjoying listening to the CD labelled as "The Faces of Eebit." It, perhaps, is the most illustrious of them all -- I can tell that a lot of thought was put into it. Eleven whole tracks, each as endlessly astounding as the last!

    In fact, each track happens to be exactly the same. I'm sure if you've seen Jonno's Faces of Eebit redux or have been privy to his Miitomo answers or have seen his Twitter messages to me, you'll know that it's...

    Elton John's "Can You Feel the Love Tonight"! :5 The second I looked at the CD, I knew what was waiting for me. But I couldn't help but laugh as I seeked through each track, finding each to be the very same track. I thought there might be a curveball somewhere in the middle, but no. You got me, Jonno! Fool me once, shame on you... fool me eleven times...

    In any event, it's been really nice to listen to the musical samplings Jonno has bestowed upon me. One of the CDs is composed of some of the close-to-home artists that are his friends in the musical world, so it's been neat to see some local flavourings. I know how passionate Jonno is about the scene around him, so it's cool to get to share in that with him.
