[Freeform | Fantasy] The Last Lady of Estasia

  1. This story is set in the nation of Estasia, a temperate peninsula that is ruled by several different Houses, only subservient to a single High King. Several years ago, two of the largest houses, Veristan and Bennett, went to war. While tensions eased within the last few months, the return of the dragons has put them on edge. One dragon flew to Starylhart, and tried blackmailing the king into giving the flying lizard large sums of the city’s valuables. When the Duke refused, the dragon kidnapped Lady Bennett, the Duke’s daughter, and anyone else who was in the tower at the time. During a mercenary raid on the dragon’s lair, the Lady and her followers slipped out from under the dragon’s scaly nose.

    The players in this roleplay will be that band of escapees. Palace guards, maids, servants, ambassadors from other houses, friends of Lady Bennett or travelling merchants, the group are a bizarre band of travellers with little experience on the move. They’ll be struggling against the soldiers of House Veristan, wild beasts that stalk the land and the ever looming dragon which keeps nipping at their heels.

    Thank you Grif for writing this... It was a roleplay we had tried doing on another forum but I want to start it here. I got his permission first. <3

  2. I like this idea - anything that has the players start as inexperienced escapees reminds me on the elder scrolls XD

    Anywho, its fantasy so now I'm intrigued to poke my question.

    Most certainly royalty approved on this one - lookit' how well it integrates with fantasy stuff~

    So - not just werewolves Rose - fantasy beings that hail from distant lands, imprisoned by bigots - seeking to redeem themselves by becoming heroes, and gaining their freedom!!

  5. To be honest here, if traditional fantasy tales are any indication, most times the Lord wouldn't know until it were to be too late that one of his subjects, if you were, was a werewolf.

    Besides, who said it had to be a werewolf? I'd definitely be into this if I could pull some Creative Furry Shenanigans (and not, that does not mean s3x). You mentioned travelling merchants, did you not? ;)

  7. Well, I guess I can allow you to join as furries if you absolutely must play as one, but I personally don't know how to integrate them. Do you have any ideas? Alternatively, I have Night World open and that is much easier to integrate furry characters.

  8. Don;t worry - we're going to write bios on them to make it easier on you- aren't we starting in prison? I can make a precursor bio on how mine came to be there. Or something.

  9. We're starting from Lady Bennett's tower that got ripped out of the ground and brought to the lair. Like Rapunzel, almost.

  11. This RP had me at "travelers with little experience on the move". I can only imagine what humorous failures will ensue... trekking through dirty environments, tripping on rocky roads... *evil laugh + hand washing like movement people do for no reason* This calls for an uptight boy afraid of getting dirty! >:]
