  1. It's the only logical next step towards transforming ZEJ into Twitter, Starr. We must incorporate hashtags, as we already have @mentioning.

    As for university food, man... I just can't find food in the cafeterias to eat. It just sucks having to eat the same food every day. I'm sick of pizza being served every day. Don't get me wrong, I can never stop loving pizza, but it's like... variety pls.

    Cid; nah my body can't handle for meat if you don't want to go into my religious beliefs. Also I tried that but for some reason or the other my food spoils really quickly. ;^; Maybe it's because my food tends to be more artisanal than functional so... ALSO >ENGINEERING WHERE DO I HAVE THAT KIND OF TIME TO COOK SO MUCH.

    Eebit; same deal. >_> The only veg food in refectories is this weird frozen food they sell in stores that they call "vegan nuggets". Fuck those.

  4. UCLA has a wider variety.....and free ice cream. Not kidding. Free chocolate, vanilla, strawberry, you name it. Makes me wish I gave a fuck at school so that I could have dormed in UCLA and raped the ice cream machines morning noon and night. But I guess Community College food sales are cool too.

    I can always win prices at community college.

    Anyway. I've been thinking a lot about life lately...more or so leaning towards the troubling question of "What is life and why am I here" This stems out from my Art history class where this question has brought out the very best works [like Starry Night by Vincent Van Gogh, a post-impressionist dutch artist] and has also driven people to insanity. I wonder what stance ZEJ has on that issue. But I'd rather not start a discussion thread on it just yet. I'm kind of afraid of the potential of it becoming this clash-of-ideals shitstorm, if you know what I mean. 

    Bah.

  6. Damn. I was actually using Winamp for my on-the-fly music playlists. ;-; That, and the plugin that plays NSF/2SF/PSF/etc files just made me love it all the more. Well, this ain't exactly an unexpected development, but... still, it kind of stings a bit.

    *sighs* Oh well, maybe VLC can help pick up the slack... probably...

  9. Never been much a fan of Minecraft myself. It was frustrating when it was the ONLY thing #CoE talked about for a time, though. :p

    So I just got an essay back for political science. Got a 75% but honestly it is unclear where I lost that 25%. A little frustrating, that. I'd like to at least know where I screwed up if I'm losing that much...

  10. Well at least you can safely conclude that the points taken off weren't for mechanics issues... right? Have you asked your professor, or are you allowed to?

  11. As far as I'm aware, the only mechanics issue pointed out to me was that I forgot to change the commas at the end of my quotations to periods when changing from APA formatting to Chicago style. Aside from that, the TA marking it said that it was a strong and interesting essay, that I didn't use one of the assigned sources (which I didn't think was a big deal since it sucked), and then that I 'alluded to' what the topic was but 'never directly stated it' except in the title.

    They ask that we wait 48 hours to contact anyone so we can 'contemplate the grade and why we received it' but then I can make a formal challenge to the marking TA which might lower or raise my mark, depending on what they find. In a class of 400 people, I can't directly consult with the professor. I might ask my TA herself just to explain a little further, but she's not exactly the most helpful individual.

  12. Will probably be my death, though in another sense. When I write reports detailing my projects and structures for engineering, my teacher keeps saying that my structures are so mechanically unsound that it'd be impossible to build them.

    Guess what I managed to build? MY THEORETICAL STRUCTURES THAT'S WHAT BEEYOTCH. Still no marks for report though. ;^;

  18. Finals are a nightmare. I'm one final away from starting my winter break....so I'm anxiously waiting for this much-needed break AND my grades. I'm legitimately scared of what grades I've earned :/
