ZEJ Mario Party Night

  1. I've mentioned this sporadically in the past, but I'd really like to do a ZEJ Mario Party night over netplay, accompanied by Skype or Discord or something. Maybe stream it, I dunno how that'd go from my end though. I would need to learn how to set up netplay on Dolphin though (or at least have someone do it who knows how). Probably one of the GameCube Mario Parties would be the best... my vote would tend towards the range of 4-6.

    Would anyone be interested in joining me? Ideally we'd get a squad of four to partake.

  2. As I'd just stated in my AMA, I'm totally in-line with your brain here on my favorite spectrum of Mario Party titles. I can't necessarily peg an absolute favorite between the three, but that is the sweet-spot of the series for me. The N64 games were fun, if not unrefined, 7 was good, 8 was okay, and 9 and 10 are... So, yep, I'd be up for this. I'm not really sure on the specifications of netplay or how all of this would go down, necessarily, but assuming that you surely do, we'd still be up for a lovely time inducting myself into this ceremonious occasion. :5

  3. I'd be totally up for some Mario Party! From what I've seen (aka what I googled just now), the best Mario Party game would be 5. I'll also throw Dolphin's general Netplay Guide and their Mario Party 5 page.

  4. So as of tonight, I've downloaded Mario Parties 4, 5, and 6 for the GameCube. I'm just about ready to rock, perhaps we can get a game going at some point today (December 9th)?

    I've had @CerberusLycan download Mario Party 6 in particular, so perhaps that'll be where we start. The only other thing would be to make sure everyone has the same version of Dolphin, and also have the same memory card and settings. Here's the guide that I'll be following, but instead of whatever version of Dolphin they have, I currently have... *checks* version 5.0, according to the "About" tab. I don't know if it gets more specific than that lol
