ZEJ Language Challenge

A bit of a challenge here: I've written something in my Romance constructed–language, Isxuor, and I want you to tell me what I've written. Use your knowledge of Latin and its descendants to figure out what I've written—a considerable user base has a certain command over

You're allowed to use any and all resources (except people who know Isxuor!), including my Conlang Wiki page for Isxuor and my Reddit posts (I'm /u/Espeonature). Please cite your sources as best you can, however.

You don't need to post entire translations; if you understand words or phrases, make note of them. Of course you can build upon what other people have managed to translate or guess. I will not be volunteering any information, although I will be continuing to work on the Isxuor Conlang Wikia page, although you won't have access to any clues, hints or the answer key via that page.

Deadline: TBA. Around three weeks, or until an acceptable translation has been recovered.

The text is as follows. For the fact that she -knows- the languages, user @Mystletainn (aka Læv or Lava) will be forbidden from taking part in any challenges that involve Isxuor, and if this takes off and I decide to do it in other a posteriori languages, Aeforei.

Alright, since there's been no participation, I'll provide a translation in the spoiler below. Any similar translations would have worked (e.g., substituting "ally" for "friend", et cetera).

cf. — compare with. Look up the etymology of the word to be compared in English, and this will give insight into the etymology of the word in Isxuor.

Much (cf. plus) long before (cf. ante–) the dawn (cf. aurora) of the age (cf. epoch) of man, the world (cf. mundane) was ruled (cf. empire) by another sentient and intelligent species—the dragons (cf. anguine—anguis is Latin for snake or dragon). Their kingdom (cf. reign) was immense, extending over thousands upon thousands of kilometres*, from the bottommost (cf. basic) ocean abyss to the highest (cf. altitude) mountainpeak (cf. vertex) of the world. Noble and wise (cf. sagacity), they lived for hundreds and hundreds of years (cf. annual) as the dominant species on Earth—until a civil war rent their society into pieces. Now, their kingdom is splintered (cf. fraction), with some attacking (cf. batter) the others and then turning against their friends (cf. amicable).

*the original was miles, but the Isxuor word for miles is "mille"; kilometres was used to avoid confusion ("on mille sol mille du millera")

Let's turn this into an interest check. If I were to provide a shorter passage, how many people would be willing to attempt to extract meaning from it?

 

I took it directly from Light in the Dark, yes, and modified it a bit for this purpose.
