What Do We Have Here?

Discussion in 'Miscellaneous Conjectures' started by Wonder Smash, Sep 21, 2011.

  1. Look at this picture...

    Any thoughts?

  2. It's been debunked as more than likely fake for three reasons:

    1. Sakurai's "signature" is not the same as it usually is, as he places a Kirby beside it.
    2. The 3DS version is not seen anywhere on the page.
    3. The text is near-illegible (I can make out SOME of the kana here, but they don't make full sentences. Evah.)

Out of these three reasons, the only one that really clicks is the third. Sakurai's signature here could just be a stamp showing that it's passed his eyes, which isn't something uncommon in the producing/directing area of expertise. Also, the 3DS version may be on a different page than the Wii U version, really. That's common sense. I don't know if we're seeing the real deal here or not, and we'll likely never know, but this certainly starts the hype train and I can totally see them naming the Wii U version SSB Universe, which isn't bad at all, actually. Sure, Clash and Rumble would be cool, as Zantok and I were ironically talking about the other day, but Universe makes sense and doesn't suck either, plus it would kind-of reflect what Nintendo's trying to do with Wi-Fi with the Wii U. You know? U-niverse. A universe of all Wii U gamers. In fact, heck, I wouldn't be surprised if they named their Wi-Fi connection center than Universe this time around! Hahahahsihjejajoaih!

I'm hoping the rumor about there being no new Mother reps isn't true, though it wouldn't surprise me. At this point, I'm calling that rumor out as a fake anyway. Same for the one about F-Zero, mainly because at least Ness and Falcon will be returning. We all know it.

  3. Super Smash Bros Universe? Universe is way out of words that could possibly mean fighting in any way.

  4. And when Miyamoto developed his Super Nintendo Mario outing, World sure meant Bros. ;)

  5. I would personally prefer a name like Clash, Rumble, Showdown, etc. Mainly because I think they should continue the tradition of 'fighting names'. Plus, naming it U-niverse would mean they would more than likely need to have a different name for the 3DS version, especially if the 'U' would be for Wii U. Not to mention that it sounds like an MMORPG, which is why Universe should be saved for Nintendo Universe Online or something. :D I guess I could get used to it if it's true, but I don't think it is.[/align]

  6. At this point, I have to say I'm inclined to agree with you. The chances that this note in particular is real are highly unlikely, like, negative percentages. I wouldn't have a problem with a name difference between the 3DS or Wii U really (who would?), so having one called Universe and the other -insert name here- wouldn't be too bad, though, like you, I'm kind of aiming for them both to at least be given the name Clash, Rumble... Yeah. Clash and Rumble are the last two good ones I can think of. Or, if it's aiming for a whole "HEY THUR GUYS, WE'RE GOOD WITH WIFI NOWZ!" persona, they could go for something such as "Arena" for both the 3DS and Wii U iterations, assuming they both reach final production stages.

  7. Since this looks like the theory page about SSB I have one.

@ Brawlinator, Tabuu has wings and some good attacks, but in all reality I think he is the upgraded version of master hand. With that said, Tabuu might have a counter part, just as Master Hand has Crazy Hand. Who would this counter part be? Well since there is no way to give Tabuu's counter part a name let's call him "Allow".

Allow, just like Crazy Hand would have more chaotic and powerful moves, Allow wouldn't have Tabuu's wing attack possibly, but a more devastating version of it, like having four or five pulses of power at random spots that can K.O. a person in one move. If we also assume that Allow looks like Tabuu, then we could see Tabuu's moves used in different ways. For example, Shark Blade. When Tabuu uses it he goes horizontal, while on the other hand, Allow can possibly use it going diagonally.

Well this is my theory anyways.
