    So I've started the new job I've been talking about as of last Friday, and just started up this Instagram page for added promo since the owners have given me carte blanche pretty much on how I'm handling this social media business. Friends, if you wanna keep up with my new day (and night) job and see some of the cool stuff that happens over at the venue, please give the page a follow (especially since our numbers could look more impressive, and I really don't wanna put more money into advertising the IG than I already just have LOL)! :)

    P.S. - So I've been inactive on here the past few days and that's basically been the whole crux of it all. I need to play catch-up on scheduling events and should expressly do just that by 1.31.16, based on what I've got scheduled down for my work. After that, things will become easier to handle and I'll return to my more active, Jonno-tastic state. Cheers, in the mean time! Hope you've all been doing alright.

    On a different note;

    Why do people say things like "smol" instead of "small" or "snek" instead of "snake"? I understand it's supposed to be a more "cutesy" alternative and is most likely a Tumblr thing but it's inexplicably annoying.

    Things like "fam", "cop" (and variants), "2k15", etc are in that same vein.

  9. Using K as shorthand for thousand is pretty well-established. Fam is the latest AAVE thing that got ripped off by white people (see salt, bae, etc). And "cop" as a verb has been around since the 18th century. (See the expression "a fair cop")

  10. "K" as a shorthand only makes sense verbally, though. It takes just as much effort and time to type "2015" as "2k15".

    I personally am baffled by people who say "dat _______ do." Not "that _______ tho," which I'm cool with, or even "dat ______ tho" which has precedent.

  12. I didn't actually snapchat this but I saw this downstairs a few hours ago while shopping and thought "Gee, I just made what's clearly the best joke ever in my head- I should save this image using snapchat and then post it for ZEJ."

  15. So I woke up at 10:30 this morning. Was freaking out about how I overslept and couldn't keep missing lectures like I had been (since I missed my class yesterday as well). I booked it into campus so as not to miss too much of my lecture but when I got there, a couple of my classmates were chilling outside of the class. And there was someone occupying the classroom. Puzzled, I checked my email for some sign that the lecture was delayed or something.

    It turns out that I forgot class started at 11:30. My b.

  17. I'd make a remark about how my brain would start adjusting and just reflexively know and account for the time change, but clearly I can't even figure out what time my class starts so who knows!
