Questions for Timber's majestic squadron of losers

Discussion in 'Ask-a-Character' started by Timber-K, Jul 27, 2016.

  1. Starting with just a few of my characters, though the amount will grow later. Right now I'm just listing off the most developed ones and whoever would be the most fun to work with. First spoiler under every character section will be a reference sheet, while the second will be a bunch of background info.

    ~~~
    YNYKH
    [IMG]
    GENERAL INFORMATION
    Name: Ynykh (sometimes known as "Yin")
    Gender: None
    Age: Unknown (though, without a doubt, they are pretty ancient)
    Race: N/A
    Height: 7"7
    Weight: 177 pounds
    Likes: Wreaking havoc upon certain chosen individuals, going for nice little midnight flights, and forests (lots of places to hide!).
    Dislikes: Being confronted, having their plans ruined, losing, dogs.
    Phobias: Losing (especially to "inferior beings"), having their weaknesses exposed.
    STRENGTHS:
    -Very charismatic. They have a way with words that makes whatever point they're trying to make very convincing, and hard to simply ignore or shake off. | An excellent liar. | Intelligent.
    WEAKNESSES:
    -Ynykh can suffer both physical and non-physical (magical) damage. | Ynykh relies on words for a lot of the mischeif they like to cause, so Ynykh may not be able to get anywhere with an especially stubborn individual. | Ynykh's weak spot is the chest, where the heart is located. It's the most important spot to go after when in battle with them. | Hide is easily pierced and torn.
    OTHER INFO:
    -#1) It's not uncommon for living beings to feel fatigued in Ynykh's presence- this is because Ynykh has a sort of "energy draining" aura, and Ynykh themself is an entity that thrives by feeding upon the energy of other beings.
    -#2) Being an entity that feeds upon the energy of other beings, Ynykh's mood is reflective of the current vibes and energy in the area. Meaning, if Ynykh is around a bunch of people who are having a good time, emitting positive energy, Ynykh would also be in a decent mood. If Ynykh is around when there's a lot of arguing going on (negative energy), they'll be slightly more irritable towards anything confrontational directed at them, and at the same time will try to egg people on to increase the negative energy in the area.
    This effect multiplies when the energy is directed at Ynykh. So when there's an outburst of negative energy FOCUSED on Ynykh (example: someone confronting Ynykh), they in turn get abnormally furious and hostile. However, since negative energy does best with satisfying Ynykh's needs, they often try to cause people to argue amongst each other and other troublesome situations. Since this involves using some of the energy Ynykh's fed upon, they are always severely fatigued afterwards.
    PERSONALITY:
    - Ynykh usually has a very laid back and relaxed personality. They're quite mischeivous and take joy in causing discord among others. They usually only use one person for this, though.  Ynykh likes to approach random people when they're on their own and speak with them. The thing is that Ynykh is extremely unpredictable in terms of their intentions- maybe they have genuinely taken a liking to a specific person (this is in fact possible). Or maybe it's just part of a new plan to cause more chaos- by gaining someone's trust and then turning everything against them. As stated in #2 of the OTHER INFO section, Ynykh's mood reflects the atmosphere. A lot of negative energy directed toward Ynykh at once can cause a disturbing break from Ynykh's normally good-humored personality into an unusually furious, aggressive one. This is usually quite offputting because it's always a very sudden and extreme change.
    BIO:
    - Ynykh is an otherworldly entity originating from the spirit realm- perhaps a cummulation of stray or corrupted energy within the realm that gained sentience. Even Ynykh isn't quite sure how exactly they were created. However, Ynykh remembers always having an intense hunger for the energy from other beings as far back as they can remember. At first, Ynykh fed upon the spirits of the realm, peircing them to the core with sharp teeth and sucking the energy out of them like some sort of vampire until none remained. As Ynykh did this, they evolved over time, turning from a creature acting off of instinct to an intelligent, thinking being.
    They eventually learned how to traverse from the spirit realm to the realm of the living. First they could only interact with the living in minor ways. And then they eventually gathered enough energy and knowledge to give themselves a physical form as well, allowing for more direct interaction with the living. Ynykh even learned of a way to harvest even more energy off of the living to better satisfy their needs- causing chaos among them and feeding off of the energy emitted from it.
    Ynykh would choose one person to target and use to cause all this, and once they had nothing else to offer, being either emotionally broken or simply refusing to hear from Ynykh anymore, they'd do away with this person and then feed upon their life force.
    Ynykh simply feels a constant need to feed like this, and they're not quite sure why, or about what would happen if they stopped. They don't seem to have too much of a problem with it, though. Ynykh seems to take an especially large amount of joy in causing chaos as well- this could be because it's something that temporarily satisfies their needs and generally has an energizing effect on them.
    VALLYRYZ
    [IMG]
    GENERAL INFORMATION
    Name: Vallyryz
    Gender: Male
    Age: Unknown
    Race: N/A
    Height: 5"2 for the humanoid body, and 1"4 for the spirit form (head to waist, not including vapor trails)
    Weight: 21 pounds for humanoid form, N/A for spirit form
    Likes: Solitude, silence, cold areas, rainy weather
    Dislikes: Being outsmarted, being lied to, anyone who makes a deal with him and doesn't uphold their half, being given any sort of command from another, Ynykh, Ynykh's presence, cruelty, being called "Vallie" (above all, even so much as being referred to by it will anger him significantly and make him more likely to verbally snap at someone; there is a serious reason behind why he hates it so much. If he is referred to by it deliberately and repeatedly  he can get violent over it.)
    Phobias: Death, fire (will INSTANTLY shift his mood over to panic if it gets close), losing at anything (mainly because of the humiliation that accompanies losing), Ynykh (above all).
    STRENGTHS:
    -Very intelligent and competent. | A brilliant strategist. | Agile. | Honest, always keeps a promise, provided the others involved hold up their part.
    WEAKNESSES:
    -Is better at making enemies than allies. | Extremely weak toward magically inflicted damage- especially his "true" spirit form. | His pride can get in his way. | If angered, he can lose concentration and quit thinking properly, and thus make a lot more mistakes than usual. | Often sleep-deprived, which can effect his performance depending on the severity of it at any given moment. This means he's usually not prepared in the case that a fight comes up.
    OTHER INFO:
    -#1 - The humanoid-shaped form that Vallyryz has isn't Vallyryz himself, nor even a real body. It is just a bunch of clothes and a mask controlled and stood up by Vallyryz to mimic human form and movement. Basically, it's a puppet. Vallyryz's spirit form usually only leaves the body either when he's taking a break from it or when he's literally just too exhausted or weak to control it. But in public areas and when in combat, he does hide himself inside it. It also allows for better control and coordination when he is fighting.
    -#2 - Vallyryz's essence is bound to the remains of his mask. If the mask is damaged while he is still connected to it, the damage will be passed directly onto his spirit form. This could be used to kill him completely.
    -#3 - Not being a normal physical being, he obviously wouldn't need to eat or drink. However, ever since he managed to get rid of half of his mask- which, while making him more violent and giving him less control over himself, DID provide him with a lot of enegy to control his physical form, regular sleep is now a need of his. He's not entirely used to the need to sleep yet, and often tries to fight it and stay awake- he's usually quite tired due to this.
    PERSONALITY:
    -While not as sour as he was formerly thanks to the lower corruption levels in him (the corruption levels being lower due to the fact that half of his mask-formed of solidified corrupt energy- is missing), Vallyryz still does have a tendency to be sarcastic, bitter, and sardonic, and even blunt or downright insulting to an individual that he dislikes or doesn't trust. As one can imagine with behavior like this, making friends doesn't come all too easily. He has also come to be quite a bit more defiant, and despises being told to do anything at all, regardless of the task. There is a more apparent air of sadness to him now than before. It isn't obvious, but if one observes his mannerisms closely enough, they will notice. When he laughs or makes some semblance of a joke, there is usually a bitterness of sorts to it.
    He will always keep his word (provided he isn't betrayed by the other), and is very honest, never telling lies (he used to lie to Ynykh in cases when he was desperate, but having broken away from Ynykh, he no longer has a reason to lie to them). Honor is one of his most valued qualities.  If he is bested in battle or a favor has been done for him when it wasn't necessary, he gains some respect for the individual in question. If someone obtains his trust and friendship, he becomes highly loyal, but still makes it a point to remain as his own person overall.
    Despite his usual personality, he becomes someone entirely different when he realizes he's in danger or at someone's mercy; going from his usual "smartass" behavior to being absolutely terrified. He makes an effort to mask it, but some of it will always show (most notably, he stutters a lot more which is unusual for him, his pupils tend to shrink, and his voice gets a hint of desperation to it). He will, however, still make an effort to fight for his life, regardless of the likelihood of success.
    BIO:
    Vallyryz used to work as a knife of Ynykh, and was forced to commit quite a lot of horrible acts. The slaughtering of the innocent and the guilty alike. He never enjoyed it, and there had been times when he'd attempted to refuse a task entirely, for which he'd pay dearly every time he'd done so. Eventually, he seemed to have given up on it, much to the satisfaction of Ynykh.
    In reality, he had decided to work behind Ynykh's back to see how he'd be able to effectively quit his.. "job".  He eventually wound up discovering that most of Ynykh's control over him centered around his mask, which was formed of Ynykh's own corrupt energy itself. It wasn't only the fact that it made Vallyryz himself more corrupt and morally grey, but something larger than that. Being made out of Ynykh's own energy and a significant amount of it, it was almost an extention of Ynykh, which they could use to tell where he was and teleport themself there. Or summon him, even.
    Once Vallyryz had that knowledge, he just needed to figure out a way of being able to momentarily unbind himself from the mask so that he could break most of it off, not leaving enough for Ynykh to work with. He would have just disconnected himself from it entirely and destroyed all of it, but he'd need as much as he could get out of it, in case that wouldn't be the end of his situation. He'd need some way of having enough energy left to control his physical form and be able to fight with it, but not quite enough for Ynykh to be able to use it themself. So he waited until he had some spare time.
    Binding himself to an object was easy. Unbinding, not quite as much, as he came to find. But he managed it eventually, after several attempts. A certain individual who he had convinced to help him broke the mask for him while he wasn't bound to it, since he couldn't control the form while he was in that state and do it himself. Once it was done, he took control of it again. It wasn't quite as powerful as before, but he'd managed to keep his more useful abilities, which didn't require much energy to begin with.
    The half of the mask that was broken off was large enough for Ynykh to track, even if only just so. Ynykh eventually got impatient and went to find Val, only to find that part of his mask, along with one simple note, with just two words written on it. "I quit." As one may guess, this just caused Ynykh to erupt in absolute rage.
    Vallyryz has had one major scrape with Ynykh since quitting, which he very narrowly escaped, being unable to fight Ynykh in that state, and it's where most of the visible damage on his clothes came from.
    Vallyryz has no particular plans of where he wishes to go next. He had a victory for once, and that was enough for the time being. But of course, that won't be the case forever. And he's regretful that he can't simply undo parts of what happened before, which has had an effect on his general attitude of things.
    "OTHER" VALLYRYZ
    (Edgy AU Val basically)
    [IMG]
    GENERAL INFORMATION
    Name: Vallyryz
    Gender: Male
    Age: Unknown
    Race: N/A
    Height: 5”2 for the humanoid body, and 4”5 for the spirit form (head to tail)
    Weight: 19.8 pounds for the humanoid body, N/A for spirit form
    Likes: Challenging others, fighting, power, cold areas, rainy weather
    Dislikes: Being outsmarted or defeated, being challenged, being taunted, being spoken to or asked about his current situation
    Phobias: Fire, losing
    STRENGTHS:
    - Agile. | Uses the ability to fly to his advantage. | Spirit form is not defenseless- from his spirit form, he's capable of making magical attacks or even clawing physical attacks, since he somehow managed to make his spirit form half-physical.
    WEAKNESSES:
    - So unstable he can't even think straight most of the time and has a lot of trouble focusing. | Reckless in battle, especially when angry, and WAY TOO COCKY FOR HIS OWN GOOD. | Moderately short-tempered. |Especially weak towards magically inflicted damage. | Spirit form is half-physical, and susceptible to physical damage in the chest and head areas. Magic damage is extra effective when he's in this form. | Wings are fragile like glass. He can regenerate them, but it would take a while, and if his wings were broken, he'd be without the ability to fly for at least the rest of the fight. This is especially bad for him since he often depends on his wings for some more powerful attacks.
    OTHER INFO:
    -#1 - The humanoid-shaped form that Vallyryz has isn't Vallyryz himself, nor even a real body. It is just a bunch of clothes and a mask controlled and stood up by Vallyryz to mimic human form and movement. Basically, it's a puppet. Vallyryz's spirit form usually only leaves the body either when he's taking a break from it or when he's literally just too exhauted or weak to control it. But in public areas and when in combat, he does hide himself inside it. It also allows for better control and coordination when he is fighting.
    -#2 - Vallyryz's essence is bound to the remains of his mask. If the mask is damaged while he is still connected to it, the damage will be passed directly onto his spirit form. This could be used to kill him completely. His entire head in general actually works like this, since it's the only part of his entire physical form that was generated by him.
    PERSONALITY:
    - The first thing that should be mentioned is that he is HIGHLY unstable, and his personality is actually split in three. One dominant personality, and two weaker ones who occasionally surface for short amounts of time or show themselves in more subtle ways when his main personality is in control. (Ex. Val hesitating to attack or kill someone for a moment, even seeming to try and resist the urge, would reflect the small part of his original personality still left within him.)
    His dominant personality is basically a flipped version of his original personality. Despite being malevolent in terms of behavior, his attitude toward most things is a little more apathetic and almost nihilistic. If he has any idea that the things he does are wrong, he simply doesn't care. Since Val is now basically a combination of Ynykh- a being who fed off of negative energy and atmospheres to survive, and his original self- a being who didn't, he feels a constant and uncontrollable need to kill things and insatiable lust for power. He'll kill and feed on the life force of whoever the victim was, but no matter how much power he gains it never seems to be enough and satisfaction fades fast. He doesn't know how to deal with it other than the way he already does, which isn't all that effective. As a result, his sanity has taken a serious hit to the point where it's no longer even existent. He does get somewhat short-tempered when his situation is brought up or when someone tries to challenge him.
    The two smaller parts of his personality are “True” Val- a fragment of his original self, and Ynykh, since Ynykh passed all their corrupt energy to Vallyryz when they were killed. Ynykh surfaces more often than “True” Val, though this particular version of Ynykh seems to be significantly more deranged. When Ynykh surfaces, it'll sound like Ynykh themself is talking over Val when they speak. They'll sound significantly more hostile and aggressive when this happens and speak with a lot more intensity.
    “True” Val shows itself mostly in subtler ways. If Val ever seems to suddenly be having a “moment of clarity” or seems hesitant to do something, that's definitely his original self interfering. Of all the three personalities, this one is the weakest and is in complete control the least often, and usually for the shortest amount of time. When he is, it becomes evident just how regretful he feels about what he's turned into.
    BIO:
    Vallyryz used to be a knife of Ynykh, a malevolent being who feeds off of negative energy by causing mayhem and thriving upon the atmosphere created by it. He was forced to do various awful things, like the slaughtering of innocents (or the guilty) to make Ynykh's job a little easier. He despised this job of his, and Ynykh's attitude didn't help. If he ever refused to do something, which he has in the past, Ynykh would respond violently. Eventually, he gave up trying to refuse such tasks. His mask, made from Ynykh's own corrupt energy, allowed him to be tracked by Ynykh and therefore controlled. It seemed that there was nothing that could be done.
    ... Until he found a way that he could quit. He learned that he could temporarily unbind himself from his mask, allowing it to be destroyed without it hurting him. But he knew he'd need all the power he could get if Ynykh were to find him again. So with the help of another, he broke off over half of his mask, keeping the smaller half and rebinding to it. This left him with enough energy to defend himself, and not enough of the mask left for Ynykh to be able to effectively track him. It looked like it was over.
    Ynykh did find him again- it looked like it was a fight he'd lose, but eventually, he won. But instead of simply fending off Ynykh and escaping, he dealt a fatal attack to them. Ynykh was dying, but they wouldn't allow themself to lose. Ynykh, a being of pure corrupt energy, passed all of their energy to Val, corrupting him as a result. He became a monster like Ynykh, everything that he didn't ever want to be. Ynykh knew this, and it was their final act of revenge.
    Since this change in character, Val's gotten most of Ynykh's abilities- most notably the ability to generate wings and fly. Some of his elemental affinities have strengthened, while others have been lost and turned into weaknesses. And since Ynykh thrived off of death while Val didn't, he feels a constant need to kill, yet killing things never seems to make him feel better for long. He's stuck between his own personality and Ynykh's, and it's taken out quite a bit of his sanity, which he used to value so much.
    KEZMYK
    [IMG]
    GENERAL INFORMATION
    Name: Kezmyk
    Gender: Male
    Age: Unknown
    Race: N/A
    Height: 4"8
    Weight: 73 pounds
    Likes: Nature (in all places), music, good company.
    Dislikes: Being a physical being, anyone hostile (verbally or physically), being alone.
    Phobias: Death and heights.
    STRENGTHS:
    -Agile. | Swift. | Excellent memory. |The shapeshifting ability in his arms guarantees he always has weapons when he needs them.
    WEAKNESSES:
    -Physically weak, depending on weapons to do any damage. | Stresses too easily. | Still has a ton to learn about the world and doesn't quite understand it yet. | Sometimes comes off as cold or awkward which can drive people away. | Can't hide things like fear and worry in the times he needs to.
    PERSONALITY:
    -Kezmyk is timid, a bit awkward, and sometimes asks weird questions that should just be common knowledge. He comes off as cold often but isn't actually. He just isn't the best at expressing how he actually feels. He gets attached to people easily. He doesn't have a short temper, but does freak out easily and take things the wrong way a lot. Also, he tends to take a lot of expressions and figures of speech literally, which can result in hilarity. He prefers to be peaceful but will fight if it's needed. He's frightened by many things but often refuses to back down. He often doesn't seem to know what he's doing, but when in a fight, it's evident that he does.
    BIO:
    -Kezmyk was originally one of the many spirits residing in what is called the "Spirit Realm". It is intended to be a place for, well, spirits. Occasionally, however, unwanted guests get in. Dark spirits. Demons. Such entities have the intent of ruining the peace in the Spirit Realm, usually by attacking those that reside in it. Though sometimes, they focus on corrupting the resident spirits instead, tempting them into doing evil deeds for them.
    Kezmyk encountered a demon. It convinced and manipulated him into killing one of the Guardian Spirits (the protectors of the Spirit Realm). Contrary to popular belief, spirits can still die. Shortly after the killing, the demon abandoned Kezmyk, who only realized his mistake a bit too late. Despite efforts to flee the scene before any Guardians came along, he was caught and needed to be punished for such a crime.
    It was against the rules of the Guardians to kill spirits of the Realm, but there was never a successful killing of a Guardian before and punishment was needed. They decided to bind Kezmyk to a physical body. But they made it so that, if and when Kezmyk's physical body dies, Kezmyk himself, the soul, would not separate itself from the body. And as a result, die with it, no afterlife to return to.
    He very quickly discovered how dangerous the realm of the living was as soon as getting there. Luckily, however, his physical form wasn't completely stuck to one thing at first, and he could even control it. Shapeshifting, basically. He used this ability to get out of danger, but the ability faded, leaving him in the odd form he is now. For some reason though, this ability didn't fade around his arms and legs, and he can still use shapeshifting on those parts. He changes them into tools or weapons when he needs to. Aside from that ability, his body works in exactly the same way as that of a normal living humanoid being.
    Kezmyk was cast into the realm of the living with no knowledge of the place or how it worked. It was a death sentence. Of course, he has no intentions of simply letting himself die. Instead, he'll avoid death and learn to enjoy life amongst the living, as difficult as it is. And he still clings to the hope of perhaps redeeming himself, though he knows how unlikely that is.
    NOTE: Kezmyk, before being forced into his physical form, had always been a discarnate spirit. There are a lot of misconceptions about him being alive once before just because he's a spirit, and this isn't true.
    XINGYUN
    [IMG]
    GENERAL INFORMATION
    Name: Xingyun // [Pronounced: Shing-yuun]
    Gender: Male
    Age: Unknown
    Race: Demon
    Height: 5”8
    Weight: 147 pounds
    Likes: Games (especially games of wit), screwing around with other people (be it harmlessly or malevolently), tea, humans (he finds them the most fun to mess with and also finds them adorable for some reason), shiny things, animals (he has a soft spot for them), and his younger sibling Arien (whom he's ultra-protective over).
    Dislikes: Killjoys, interruptions, anyone who looks like they could pose a threat, feelings of powerlessness, and angels (most of the time- occasionally there's exceptions).
    Phobias: Death, fire, angels, defeat, and anyone who looks like they could pose a threat.
    STRENGTHS:
    - Skilled with magic. | Quite cunning. | Skilled illusionist. | Agile. | Gifted with incredibly sharp claws. | He has regenerative abilities that permit him to heal slowly over time, even if he winds up being severely injured.
    WEAKNESSES:
    - Often underestimates opponents and situations- bites off more than he can chew. | VERY easily distracted. | Physically a bit frail. Despite his claw strength and sharpness, he takes a lot of damage and it's easy to weaken him if he's hit enough. | Regenerative abilities are incredibly slow. If he gets really messed up in a fight, it can take him as long as three weeks before he becomes able to even walk again. | Weak spot is his head. It's very fragile and if it's destroyed, then he's definitely a goner. | He isn't the best person, and is often morally wrong in many situations, even though he's often fully aware of it. He just doesn't care. This, however, doesn't earn him a good reputation.
    OTHER INFO:
    Xin is entirely aware that he is just a character who's been written out by someone, and it's mostly the source of his insanity and mental instability. He often questions if actions he's committed were on his own free will or not and is essentially in a constant existential crisis. However, Xin sometimes attempts to “pull back on the strings”- meaning that if he senses an action he's about to do, and thinks that he was written to do it, he may decide to do the exact opposite at the very last second. He's a character designed to be entirely unpredictable, even to his writer, or the one who controls him. Just because he knows he's usually being controlled doesn't necessarily mean he has to be powerless, and he refuses to accept powerlessness.
    As an extention to Xin's awareness, he also knows that there are parallel universes built off of possibilities and what could have happened at any given moment. He does have some “false memories” from these universes, particularly involving death. He knows these memories don't apply to this particular instance of him, yet he remembers them farily vividly. Memories of all these ways he could have died straight down to the gruesome details further contribute to his fractured mind.
    Xin has a special “UNSTABLE” mode that can be set off under certain conditions. In this state, he loses his usual personality and starts targeting and attacking others indiscriminately. The best way to describe his behavior in UNSTABLE mode is that he essentially goes feral and predatory, gaining a boost to his stealth abilities and strength, but also going so extreme on some of his attacks that he entirely forgets defense or evasion.
    While Xin has a world of origin, he is not at all confined to it and has the ability to wind up almost anywhere.
    PERSONALITY:
    Xingyun is mischievous, spontaneous, tricky, and completely unpredictable. He often likes to mess around with specific individuals. He often takes things way too far in the shenanigans he pulls. It's never truly apparent until the grand finale whether or not he truly has malicious intent. Sometimes he really does mean harm, other times he's just playing what his own messed up idea of a “joke” is. He's also fully capable of harmless fun, but that's typically far more obvious and far less terrifying. If he actually values a person or considers them as a friend or someone close, he refrains from any of his “jokes” and sticks to completely harmless fun.
    Despite being a long shot off from anyone's definition of a “good person”, Xin isn't entirely heartless and is in fact capable of genuinely caring about someone. He tends to go more on the protective side with anyone he cares about, and tends to show affection by randomly giving gifts- mostly various shiny things.
    Xin's knowledge of the truth of his existence is the source of his strange behavior and world views, and this knowledge has driven him into becoming mostly apathetic towards concepts like morality, which is the reason he generally does not care if he's doing anything wrong. He always acts on his own whims and is not evil so much as he is chaotic-neutral.
    BIO:
    Xingyun lived a fairly normal life in a world inhabited by two races- demons and angels. The demons were the less dominant race of the world, often living in the more secluded areas of it- the isolated labyrinthes and ruins surrounded by forest and all sorts of strange, tall, surrealistic structures.
    The angels dwelled in magnificent, pristine, palace-like structures which spiraled into the skies. The angels always appeared more mechanical in appearance than the demons, with elegant accents covering their bodies, often gold or silver in color. The angels earned their high positions in the world after mostly subduing the demon race, but despite their power, some felt like it just wasn't acceptable to share the world with the other race.
    Archangel Zircon had this mentality, and it was toxic in combination with his high rank and level of power. One day as he soared over some demonic ruins in the night sky, he caught sight of two demons sitting out in the open, looking upon the landscape of mazes and trees. These demons were Xingyun and Arien, his younger sibling. Zircon instantly decided to descend upon the ruins, landing behind them without their knowledge. Xin quickly heard the angel walking up to them, however, and turned to him, asking who was there.
    The second Xin realized it was an angel, he and Arien instantly stood and started to clarify that they wanted no trouble, knowing how many angels were in this world. Zircon didn't care, calling them “filthy beings”, and instantly moving to attack Arien first. Arien managed to get out of the way, while Xin prepared to fight. He wasn't hoping to drive the angel off, but rather create an opportunity to escape, as he recognized that this one was far too powerful.
    Arien managed to hold their own very well in the following battle, but eventually Zircon got a critical hit in, impaling them through the chest with his weapon and, thinking they were a goner, flung them into the wall as he prepared to turn to Xingyun. Here, however, Xingyun beat Zircon on making the first attack, instantly leaping upon the angel from a pillar, proceeding to mercilessly claw at him in anger. The angel, in turn, fought back mercilessly, and the battle ended with the angel severely injuring Xin. Assuming the two demons were done for, the angel then proceeded to fly off to tend to his own injuries.
    Another demon found the bloody scene with Xingyun and Arien lying motionless, and took the both of them into their own care. The two lived, but Arien was so scarred from the incident and watching their brother almost die, that they just.. stopped talking. Years later, Arien is still mute. Xingyun was filled with rage over the incident, and one night strolled outdoors on his own, screaming to the sky and demanding answers on why things were like this. In a single strike of lightning from the blue, he did get his answers. All this knowledge about his existence has driven him crazy over time- the only thing that remains the same about him to this day is how much he cares for his sibling, Arien.
    SOME CHARACTERS TO BE ADDED IN THE FUTURE:
    -Winston
    -Azralle
    -Kovallius
    -Kenos
  2. Xingyun; are you aware that there's another character similar to you in not only the illusionist/magic and intelligence/cunning aspects, but also in fourth wall awareness? Knowing that this other character takes his role in stride, how do you feel about it? How would you interact with him if you met?
    (for Timber: yes, the character is Careodry)
    Kezmyk; how have you adapted to your physical form and the world of the living?
  3. Xingyun: "Eheheh.. Well, I'm sure there are others like me out there somewhere, in other worlds.. I'd certainly be a little envious of being able to just deal with that kind of knowledge so easily, but I'd be interested in meeting someone like that for sure. As for what I would do if I were to meet such a character.. That's a hard one. Heheh, it could possibly be lots of fun.. I'm definitely not the type to interview, though."
    Kezmyk: ".. Adapted? I haven't really.. adapted.. to be honest, I'm still coming to terms with this, ehm.. new situation. Being forced right into such an unfamiliar form so suddenly doesn't give one much room to adapt, I think.. Uh.. plus I look too weird to really fit in."
