Pokemon Challenge Thread

  1. Okay, so this thread IS going, everyone.

    On that note, I made the No Legends rule optional for Nuzlockes. Legends may be caught and used once you get to them no matter what. However, I will say no resetting/savestating to catch the legend. If you kill it/run out of Pokeballs, that's just too bad.

    Also, I am doing a Nuzlocke of Pokemon White Deluxe, a hack of Pokemon white that raises difficulty and adds all Pokemon to the game. I will be using the no legends rule.

  2. Pokemon White Deluxe? Does it get rid of that stupid experience scaling and add back in the VS Seeker?

  3. The experience scaling is great for getting one of your pokemon up to par with the rest of your team, actually.

  5. Changed my mind, Sapphire Nuzlocke. 2 uses of each Centre, No Legends, All Nickname. (Possible optional rule, I'm using it anyway: First Unowned encounter, otherwise I'd have 3 Zigzagoon...)
    Do Starters count for Route 101? I wouldn't think, but...

  6. I've personally always counted the starter in RSE to be the Route 101 Pokemon. I've also always personally counted the Pokemon you encounter on routes before getting Pokeballs. Though, both of those depend only upon how you wanna play it.

    Also, I should add the unowned clause to the optional rules.

    No update for me, since I haven't been able to play much.

  7. I never count Pokemon encountered before you can actually catch them. I also always considered RSE's starter as a Littleroot Pokemon, since that's where it's officially given to you. On Route 101 you're just borrowing it.

  8. Same with lake verity in DPP. And before you can catch is unfair, as you lose 2 Routes in RSE and a route and a lake in DPP.

  9. That's just how I personally play it. I don't care if you catch on a route from before you can catch or on the route you got the starter. Either way is fine for me.

  10. I actually do count Pokemon you encounter before you can catch them. I also count the DPP starter as a Lake Verity Pokemon, and the RSE starter as a Route 101 Pokemon.

  11. I guess I may as well update this before my Pokemon evolve. I could've had a Seedot on Route 2, but crits suck. Still have yet to go into the first Gym... Because Triple Battle and all. Yay.
