Looking for some people

Hey everyone, while I do not have any set ideas as of right now I was hoping there would be one or more people who would like to "sit down" and brainstorm with me about a story arc/world/anything they would like to do. I am pretty much up for anything. I mostly tend to lean towards the crime drama, fantasy, sci-fi, action/adventure genre of roleplaying but if the story we create s interesting enough I am interested. Please let me know if anyone is interested. Thanks!

 

I don't have really any set in stone idea that I would like to start with. I am very open to creating something together and going from there. That being said, I am generally very interested in the criminal element of the world and how they interact with their surrounding environment. These criminals can be anything from street thugs, drug runners, mafioso, outlaw, outlaw bikers, or anything of the sort. For whatever reason these people that are viewed as extreme by the normal standards of society but viewed as heroes or legends in the subculture they live in has always been an interest of mine.

And honestly, we could even mix in sci-fi or fantasy with the crime. I always have loved reading about the scumbag that does "good" things because it benefits them. (I am reminded of Jarlaxle from R.A. Salvatore's works as I write this.)

Would there be something you would be more interested in Eebit? I am honestly just excited to get back to writing for fun. This is all practice for me to help regain some of the "creative fuel" I have lost since I have spent so much of my time writing in an academic and research setting for the past few years.

 

Sorry for the double post but I have an idea that popped into my brain recently; by recently I mean literally about 4 minutes ago. Maybe 5 minutes.

I think it would be interesting to do a mix of dark/supernatural sci-fi with real world military drama. The idea came from my recent research I did on Private Military Contractors and Companies. The overall... I guess you could call it a theme... Would be that these PMC's have a contract with the Government to handle all of the "dark" stuff that goes on in the world. 

This does kind of hearken back to Hellboy, Supernatural, and stories of this nature. What do you think? I am all for fleshing out the story, the background of the company, and whatever else we would need to do.

 

Would you be interested pending my ability to build a world that isn't utter garbage?

 

Hey Eebit, sorry for the delay. I've been tied up with some real life crap that is just....well.... crappy. Anyway, I would LOVE hashing out the details of the addictive magic/drug story line. That is, if you are still interested.
