Incantations/The Runaway

Discussion in 'Creation Station' started by Red Starr, Oct 19, 2011.

  1. Yeah I've had this concept for a long time now, and finally got to write it. Even if I'm not done with the family secret, I'll be working on this (I sadly got writers block for FS...) So here it is, my main's origins and backstory that spans from her young childhood to her young adult life. Some of you may think shes the babbling idiot who only cares about creating life which ends up causing chaos, but when you read this (And hopefully the chapter where it explains why she does that.) you'll think differently of her, and eventually view her differently. And also if you're wondering why this intro sounds better, yet confusing...well...I had some help from my teacher. Shes a good writer giving me tips every now and then. Other than the small help, I wrote most of it out of my small brain.

So here it is, the first portion of the story-- Incomplete because I'm writing this in school and the comps here suck. EDIT: Gonna type the rest once chapter 2 is completely done =)

A young girl stood upon a tall standing bridge, north of a small city in Prestoria. She looked down into a swift stream of roaring water, 20 feet below her and sighed softly to herself. The girl’s hands were bound and tied behind her back, the wrists bound with a cord. A rope closely encircled her small neck—it was attached to a strout cross timber above her head and the slack fell to the level of her knees. Some loose boards laid upon the sleepers supporting the metal’s of the apparent bridge supplied a footing for her and her executioners- Two large and burly men of a group well known against the great of good, directed by a tall and muscular man who In his civil life may have been a guard of some sorts.

At a short remove upon the same temporary platform was another equally as tall man, armed.

Beyond the men was nobody in sight; the bridge gave way to a simple dirt road and into an idle forest for a hundred yards, then, curving, was lost to view. Doubtless there was an empty outpost farther along.

The other back of the stream was open ground- A gentle upwards slope topped with a stockade of vertical tree trunks, loop holed for riffles, with a single embrasure through which protruded the muzzle of a brass cannon commanding the bridge. Midway of the slope between bridge and camp were the ‘spectators’—a single group of armed men in line, at an unusual stance, the ends of the riffles on the ground, the barrels inclining slightly backwards against the right shoulder, their hands crossed upon the stock. The lead man stood at the right of the line, the point of his sword upon the ground, his left hand resting upon his right.

The girl who was engaged in being hanged was apparently about the age of 4. She was of royal decent, if one might judge by her clean face and polite attitude. Her features were good- a straight nose, firm yet gently mouth and scarlet lips, slightly broad forehead from which her long dark hair was combed straight back, falling behind her small ears to the laces holding her white dress. Her eyes were large, gleaming pools of chocolate and had a kindly yet daring expression which one would hardly have expected to have her neck in the rope loop. Evidently, this was no assassin or thief. But by the rules upon the men quickly stated….the ones against the liberation, the continuing fight…must be hanged and never again spoken of.

She was no exception being the easiest to capture.

    C+CC is welcomed.

  2. Here it is, the COMPLETELY filled up and completed chapter one:

    Introduction:

This story takes place well before the time where Starr found the cult in Ustream, Euthora. At this time, there was a devistating war engulfing the planet Mantua-- The Blessnixian Liberation troops from the Kingdom of Blessnix, and the mighty Finlandian union troops sent from Blessnix's motherworld and ruler, Planet Finlandia. After many years of conflicting war between these powerful forces, Finlandia suddenly turned to the less known kingdom, the Exo-Monarchy which ruled most of Planet Mantua. By asking the Exo's for aid and clearly expecting them to refuse, the Exo-monarch surprisingly accepted to make a temporary alliance with Finlandia just for the soul purpose of then claming a good portion of Blessnix as their own once more. As a result of this, not one- but two Forces controlled the kingdom of Blessnix and eventually lead the Liberation movement to resort to more 'personal' ways to gain their well deserved freedom.

About 3 months prior to the Alliance between Exo and Finlandia, the Blessnixian liberationals devised a plan to kidnap one of the royal family's members in order to create a forced deal with Exo. If the deal was to be struck, the Exo-Monarchy would be forced to cut off their alliance with Finlandia and ultimately go against them in the war. So they took away a little girl named Cilla Starrmalia Starkey- The princess of Exo-Mantua. But to their surprise, the Monarch didn't react how they have planned. They did not wager any money to get the princess back, or actually agreed to any conditions the Blessnixian Liberationals have placed.

After that upsetting outcome, they had no choice but to rid her by death. But little did they know that everything they planned to do was going to dramatically change.

    Chapter One: Little Hangar.

She was no exception being the easiest to capture.

The preparations being complete, the two armed men stepped aside and drew away one of the planks upon which she had been partially standing on as footing. The man operating this planned exicution turned to the two men and smiled coldly, then immediately stood behind the two. These few moments left the condemned girl in a position of utter fear and abandonment. The thought and pain that nobody came to her aid made her eyes water and leak out streams of tears down her little nose and down her cheeks, but she didn’t care about letting her feelings be known.

At a moment’s notice, the girl closed her eyes and listened to the snickers and whispers of the band of captors, feeling the only plank supporting her shift slightly while another man switched positions with the one who previously stood on it.

    Then..

At a signal from the leader, the man stepped aside…the plank began to tilt and the condemned girl went down slightly between moments. The arrangement commended itself to her judgment as a simple and effective. Her face had not been covered or her eyes bandaged. She looked for a moment at her “Unsafe footing”, then let her eyes open and she began to gaze off into the swirling water of the stream racing beneath her feet. The way it flowed matched the speed her heart was racing in; Fast, but steady.

She closed her eyes once more in order to fix her final thoughts of her family, her siblings and her careless parents. The water, touches to gold by the setting sun made her slowly enter a deep trance of consciousness.

The light around her fading; Only to see the last sparkles of the river that would make her fate.

Any comments, guys? Or am I really just wasting some little talent here?

    EDIT: Chapter two! WOO!

    Chapter two: Comfortably Cumuloft.

    Chapter Two: Comfortably Cumuloft.

The sun began to slowly set behind Prestoria’s mountain skyline. Highlighting each ridge slowly while the minutes and seconds began to feel like endless hours around the place of execution. While that seemed to have placed an added effect on the atmosphere, the line of ‘spectators’ stood calmly with their riffles pointed downwards- Still, however, not in complete slack for reasons only known to them. Each spectator calmly looked at the girl for a moment and showed a face of slight anger and hate towards her; one shifted his eyes suddenly to the board and then gave a smirk to what was about to occur. That surely signaled that the final goal was just about to be complete.

Meanwhile, the girl did not dare to open her eyes not one bit at her small attempt to keep herself notably calm to avoid herself from panicking and eventually falling to her choking doom, prematurely. But sadly, that attempt was seemingly useless-- All she heard in a brief moment was a sudden loud grind and then felt her full body slip; her small neck pulled by the rope brought her an extreme pressuring feeling.

A snap and fall, and eventually, she heard nothing more than a buzz in her ear which soon faded alongside her eyesight and feeling.

What appeared to be seconds after the buzz faded, however, her eyes reopened slowly. The girl couldn’t think so much with barely any clarity caused by an immense pressure engulfing her whole body. She felt rather confused, judging by the blurred sight she had and the almost fading senses of complete consciousness, she couldn’t make out a logical reason as to why she was in this state. Or rather, in this unusual situation at all.

Moments then grew back into wondering, regaining feeling. That regaining feeling proved almost to be a curse mostly because a chilling wave of cold pressures began to sway her to and fro. Almost as if she felt it practically ‘carrying’ her in an open space apparently stopped by time. A non-logical open land between stinging sensation and chilling bliss of swaying. Those feelings felt so confusing and odd that it twisted her understandings to the point where she just ultimately closed her eyes once more and let those unusual sensations sway her to an end.

Her body then began to sink down into an endless abyss, only to stop down on a sudden platform. It wasn’t quite there before, and the sensation of feeling a hard surface against her back shifted her senses almost completely back to normal.

She stiffened up and her eyes peaked open and looked up and above herself as she layed…

Only seeing seemingly huge streams of falling silver water unknowingly dropping at all directions around her, but not dropping on her herself, of course. Not making a single sound.

But alas, she couldn’t move any of her limbs as best as she attempted to. The girl was helplessly paralyzed under the pressure that began to increase and take an unbearable toll on her small frame- It practically pinned her down by force. As a result of this, all she did was wimper….just to vent out some frustration she had.

A sweet and quiet voice broke the serine silence, “….A…Terrible way you’ve arrived to the judgment world, hmm?” Then following a loud clap that illuminated the area around the girl, giving way to a sight which showed silver water falls dipping into a silvery lake of sorts. Endless, one might describe it. The whisper then became louder and repeated until the little girl dared to respond.

    “….I-I….P-….I……P-Please….All of this….I don’t k-know…I-I-I want to g-go h-ho-home..”

She stuttered slightly while speaking, and the voice just simply ignored that and spoke once more. “…Home….?”

Behind those waterfalls surrounded a sort of fog which concealed a tall and majestic woman in all. Midnight blue engulfed each inch of her body as if it was skin, and shining spots of starts and glittering patters flowed down her body and shined tremendously. She possessed no nose or mouth, no ears or no eye brows. Just two glowing pearl eyes with no pupils. And all that she had besides that was long and flowing midnight blue hair. The rest was concealed behind the falls as such.

She took a glance at the little girl and spoke again, “You care to mean my home? Or our home?”

    “M-My home…..M-Mantua…”

“Mantua?…….Mantua! What a planet you ended up living in…..what a beauty indeed.”

Ended up? The girl didn’t understand the meaning of just “ending up” anywhere near this place. She wimpered again, “…I ended up how..? W-Where…? I’m s-still alive!”

    “Just away from home….s-somehow……..I’ll wake up….and s-see that I’m still home….I…I wasn’t part of any of this….with bad people….I know I-it can’t be true….I’m not d-”

    She was briefly interrupted,

“This wasn’t a random occurrence or a denial of any way…this wasn’t something you could just simply assumed has happened….if you came here to my domain, you honestly have had a very unique reason- and a terrible one as well.”

This began to make little sense. Out of this, the little girl cried out in frustration and fear,

    “C-Clear this to me!”

    “Clear this to you..?”
    “Y-Yes..”

With a swift motion with her hand, the majestic woman split one of the falls in front of her and crept her enormous hand through the opening just made. Since her hand was more than 20x bigger than the child herself, she carefully used her fingers to pick up the girl by her hand and placed her on the center of her palm with a twist. “You are under a field of equilibrium….Upon that, your soul has ventured out…and your self…has entered into the center of the universe….My Judgmental parliament….and conditional purification, Young one.”

    “Pur-”

Again, the majestic woman cut her off, “for your soul, who come on here well under it’s way to either the holy land or the netherworld…Judgment, my dear child.”

    “So…I’m…”

    She choked slightly, “I-I’m dead..?”

“That’s for you to decide..” She whispered.

    “What d-do you mean?”

No matter how obscure that statement was, she repeated again, “W-What?”

“You have to understand that the way you decide your turn in fate is the way I may pave the trail out to aid you- Do you really think you’re alive? Or do you think that you have perished?”

The young child thought for a moment in pure focus. For once, she actually began to understand. Then out of the blue, she finally answered, “T-That’s…for me to decide..”

The woman laughed lightheartedly at the young child’s given statement. Finally, she understood. Understanding lead to a moment where things began to fit into place, the woman- just like a perfect key being used on a rightful lock, let the girl suddenly slip out of her palm and dropped her into the accumulating silver pool and adding a few additional words of wisdom As the young child fell uncontrollably into the depths.

“A leader….is only picked out of their natural gift of will. Never by their drive to equal to a power, or more..”

By the last word, everything went blank once more. Noise ceased, and all feeling faded once more. Taken off into nothing…..Until a forceful blow of immense pressure inflicted her chest.

    Snap.

All sensations snapped back and even showed to be sharper than ever. The coughs the girl apparently gave began to be audible to the girl herself. All perception vanished, and all reality set back in all light; feeling and senses back. Another cough ravaged her body, followed by a choke which lead a blast of water and vomit to escape her mouth. All she did now was feel an immense need to open her eyes and gulp every bit of air she could.

“About time Princess Starrmalia woke the crap up!” A heavy voice yelled. Starrmalia, as she was called, squinted at the strong lights hitting her pale face. She looked around quickly and then felt her dress.

    She was completely drenched.
