[Galamion Quest] The Land of Water

The scene was gruesome, to say the least. Severed limbs were strewn across the sails like garlands and inflated human innards were piled on the deck, providing a great feast for the flies and worms. All the bodies that were relatively intact were found in the crew's quarters, nailed to the walls with metal stakes and their eyes gorged out, that is, if they still had heads. The stench of death was nauseating.
And yet, there she was, carefully and disturbingly thoroughly examining the bodies. With her jet black hair pulled back and gloves protecting her slender hands, she examined the corpse before her in ways that would make a mortician nervous. Behind her was a bulky young man, nervously swatting flies and watching her with mild disgust.
"How many?" the woman asked as she searched the dead man's briefs.
"About twenty or so."
"And how did they come up with that number?"
The man shrugged. "Counted up the limbs and divided by four."
The woman muttered something inaudible as she pulled a crumpled piece of paper from the dead man's undergarments. Receiving words of disbelief and disgust from her partner, she simply replied with: "It's not like I'm searching his socks."
Unfolding the paper revealed a map of the world, just like any other except for a line that was drawn across, going through the sea between Planaya and Nishire all the way to south of Eshdao and back around. Several points on the line were labeled with dates, with one of the points closer to Planaya branded with the current date.
"...There's something here."

Quest Details: The detective is looking for a ship and crew to explore and investigate a certain location she believes has something to do with the deaths of a captain and his crew.

Actually, no. Since it starts in Planaya, I can't allow anthro until later on. And you're assuming the two are even related.
