WAVES ~ Melody in Motion​

WAVES is a concept I've had floating around in my mind for a good few months involving a universe whose main sources of power and combat arts depend entirely on music and rhythm. You, the players, play a band of mixed “sonic duelists,” a type of musician that deals in aspects of combat in a general sense. Of course, this is only suggested, and you can basically play whatever type of musician you want. There are, obviously, different instruments to play where their functions are mostly decided by the players, within reason. But enough of that for now, on to explaining the universe!​

The WAVES universe is set on a chain of planets that have more advanced technology than we in the real world do – think things like amplifiers that can be modified to boast strum-activated laser cannons, resonators for most other instruments that can be equipped with elemental or energy-based systems to allow for various things, instruments whose sounds have qualities ideal for support roles. There are even microphones that don't require power and are capable of anything tuned instruments can do!​

You, as the players, will be following the development of the Sonic Disruptors – a nefarious advancement in technology that threatens to put the entire planetary chain under siege. Along the way, you'll meet faces, both new and legendary, that may or may not seek to aid you on your quest.​

As the players, you can play anyone of the races used in ARKNET Reborn, as WAVES takes place in the same literal universe one hundred and fifty years later. I'll list these below, for your convenience:​

Lycans are a race of canid humanoids. They're great fighters and usually know their way around firearms the best. They can also live to be 200 years old.

The Felidi are feline humanoids, and are as such much more flexible and suited to stealth than their canine counterparts. They are also slightly longer-lived, with an average lifespan of 225 years.

Fallen Angels are the spirits of the deceased in a reanimated corpse and as such are unable to die of old age. Given their power as spirits, they tend to have an affinity for magic.

The Ithzon are a humanoid bat race, and as such are well-suited to reconnaissance and scouting. They live around the same length of time as Lycans.

Thenast, being weasels, are generally smooth-talkers, hence the stereotype "Able to weasel their way out of anything." Much like Lycans, they can expect to live 200 years.

The Promethei are human brains inside a robotic body, and while they can technically live forever, if their brains get knocked from their holding compartments, they'll die fairly quickly. They tend to run on batteries.

Do I really need to explain Humans?​

If this gathers enough interest,which I hope it does, I'll throw a SU thread up as soon as I finish some more development on this concept. Reply if you're interested!​
