Final Fantasy X: The Return of Sin [RP Thread]

  1. All was well in the land of Spira. The Eternal Calm from High Summoner Yuna had brought about a new era of tranquility and peace, leaving its denizens able to bring about development that would have been impossible if the times hadn't been as stagnant as they were. Technology progressed farther than it had been before, and the times of desperation had passed long behind them. Soon enough, the entire calamity of Sin's coming had been forgotten and the High Summoner was no longer recognized as a savior, but just as a historical figure to be memorized. Things were all as well as they had been, and as such, the society of the land of Spira had began to decay once again. Gross manifestations had began seeping through the cracks and we could see the true ugliness of the soul.

    As a result, strange things have began to happen throughout all the land, making for chaos to rule over all, such as the sudden disappearance of items, a global warming, and a constant signal interference. Odd red crystals have been growing from places of high traffic, and grow visibly larger when it is within the presence of negative emotions. This did not trouble anyone for the most part until they began covering most of the surface of Bevelle. People exclaimed at this, yet they continued to rampantly grow, seemingly sentient and harmless.

    Then it happened.

    Creatures of glowing crimson and pinks rained down upon the holy city, rendering it under total anarchy. Times were returning to those of Sin and Atonement. In the distance was the all-knowing sphere of the carnal Incarnation. Who will stand up to the madness and liberate Spira once more?

    Progression 0, First Sleight: Rehash

    Objective: Escape Bevelle!

  2. Rozalin starts at cell J-5

    "Open! Why won't you open?!" Rozalin screamed as she pounded her fist once again into the gate that refused to budge even a little. She could feel something trickle down her arm, a thin streak of red slowly snaking its way down to her elbow and dripping onto the ground beneath her. She had managed to scrape her hand on the rough surface of the large metallic gates and it was starting to bleed a little. She lowered her fist and looked at the wound and gently wiped away some of the blood. Good, it wasn't bleeding much, in fact the bleeding had already stopped as it was only a slight scrape of the skin. She directed her attention back to the large gates standing in front of her, the only thing blocking her and Alyssa from escaping this crumbling city. But it refused to open and it seemed that no one else was able to open the gates.

    Rozalin turned around to face toward the city. They had come so close but they would have to go back. They would need to return to those monster-infested streets. They needed to find a way to open the gates or another route out of the city.
     
  3. Alyssa starts at J6!

    Her eyes scanned the streets they had just ran from––the ones filled with some demonspawn-mutant-freakazoids. Nothing seemed out of place by the gates. The waterways looked tranquil as usual, and there was only a little rubble nearby. Could have just been a construction project gone a tad awry. Even then, nothing seemed to disturbed. Not to the fourteen year old. In fact, if she and her friend hadn't just been on deathrow-waiting-to-happen, Alyssa would have thought everything was just dandy. Calamity had not hit this area just yet, at least not as much as the rest of Bevelle.

    Her gaze shifted to her friend. Rozalin kept shouting at the gates, as if that was going to make them open. "You need a key, silly." she stated matter-of-factly, glancing at the gates for the briefest of moments. Actually, it seemed they would need several keys to leave Bevelle currently. At least five to be exact. The Witch Apprentice shifted on her feet for a second before taking a calculated step toward the streets leading to pandemonium. "Maybe we could find some?" she asked rhetorically, stretching her arms out to either side of her. It was really all they could do. They didn't have much choice else, honestly.
