[Fandom] Pokemon-Digimon Crossover-thing

Discussion in 'Interest Checks' started by Electro, May 10, 2012.

  1. So, yeah, I'm assuming I'm not the only person here who actually likes either Digimon or Pokemon, (or in my case, both), but I decided I should at least attempt to start an rp here. I posted some screwed up Fanfic-ish sorta thing on Mag, so I'm altering this to go with it. Zar' Roc uses, Wall! It's Super effective!

    Plot: November 5th, 1995:
The experimental Pokemon could not be realized. All of it's data was properly placed, but the realizer failed, as usual. We have redone the calculations hundreds of times, and they always are identical, except for a series of variables that shift each time. They have never had the same positioning for multiple calculations, but the result of the experiment never differs. The Pokemon commences realization, but implodes at 46.72563%. We believe the series is some sort of catalyst, as the variables appear in the same order, but positioned differently. We have named the Pokemon “Porygon” as those are the variables which act as a catalyst. We have decided to attempt to place the creature in a data-scape, in order to better understand it's behavior.

    February 29th, 1996:
We have finally successfully realized Porygon, after thousands of failures. The data-scape in which we held the prototypes has been sent to a separate facility in order eliminate all traces of them. We are planning on mass producing the creature within the next decade, after some kinks have been worked out. We are also planning on creating more Digitals, as we call them, with more animal-like appearances. Our first project will be commencing within the year.

    October 13th, 1996:
Our attempts to recreate Porygon have been futile, as the equation for it's creation does not seem to work. We have, however, realized an egg based on Porygon's data, which will hopefully hatch into a new Porygon. We have also received word that the majority of its prototypes have been erased, 8 are missing, leading Erasings to believe one of our workers has stolen it. A full scale investigation has been launched, as the missing prototypes were of extreme potential, although they still ultimately failed.

    January 21st, 1997:
All but one of the missing prototypes have been recovered, as the thief lost it before he was found. Mr. Hida has been found guilty of treason in a time of war, as our corporation has just entered into the Kanto/Orre war, and while based in Johto, has a large portion of the company working out of Kanto. Our potential Porygon egg, has yet to hatch, and so has been given to a young trainer. We believe the egg may hatch if kept along with other Pokemon.

    May 3rd, 1997:
The missing prototype has been located, but it has already been uploaded to the internet. However, if one tries to copy it, or download it, it will disappear and reappear somewhere else, leading us to believe the prototype was at least somewhat successful. However, the other 7 prototypes that had not been erased have also shown up, and we have convinced the public they are viruses, not to be dealt with. We, however, cannot recapture them, and instead are forced to watch as they slowly multiply and mutate. The first one to reach the internet, codename “Yggdrasil”, seems to be creating a passage to the G-net, and we are receiving calls from government officials who's computers suddenly freeze and crash, requiring a total wipe. The egg, however, has hatched, although not as a Porygon, but as a pink blob with the ability to become what it sees. We have named it Ditto.

    November 26th, 1997:
The prototypes have all but vanished from the internet and G-net, although once in a while an unexplained digital event occurs. We believe Yggdrasil has created an alternate Networld, for the prototypes, or as we've deemed them, Digitals, can exist without damaging our electronics. The project has been scrapped, as Ditto has been discovered to have the ability to recreate many Pokemon, though as eggs. Notably, it does not seem to be able to create eggs of Pokemon which have no multiples, or who are younger versions of well known Pokemon. We have therefore deemed the younger versions “Baby forms,” as they are unable to create eggs.

    September 22nd, 2000:
An entrance to the Networld, now called the Digital World, has been found, and teams have been sent through to gather information on the Digitals. While lacking in resemblance to Pokemon, the creatures are still monster-like, causing us to rename them, Digimon. While we can access their world, they cannot leave it, and instead have found ways to coexist within our internet. Also, the war has ended, and peace has been restored in Kanto, while all of Orre's wild Pokemon have disappeared.

    March 5th, 2001:
The Digimon have been introduced to the general public as a monster fighting game, as they have been shown to fight and evolve in their own world. The creatures have accepted this as their only way of contact with their creators, and so gladly accepted.

    April 7th, 2002:
Digimon have fallen out of favor with the public, and non-Pokemon Trainers have left Kanto and the planet itself, taking the internet-and the Digital World-with them. They arrive on a similar planet, although with creatures less powerful than their home world's. They create a society, and a planned device replaces their memories so they believe it to be their home, and do not remember the Digimon or Pokemon. It is called, Earth. A similar thing happens on Pocken, erasing memory of the Digimon and non-Pokemon Trainers.

August 10th, 2006: Ash Ketchum turns 10 on Pocken, while Tai Kamiya, Sora Takenouchi, Matt and T.K. Ishida, Joe Kido, Mimi Tachikawa and Izzy Izumi are sent to the Digital World to save it from Apocalymon on Earth.

Fast forward 100 years, (April 5th, 2106): Earth has discovered Pocken, and a device has given a select group of 6 individuals memories of the events of 1995-2006, and everyone between the ages of 12 and 25 a device which allows them to train up to six Pokemon and/or Digimon at once, using 1-3 in battle based on battle style.

    Who you are:
A 12-25 year old who has a Training D, (the device) and has gone on a journey of monster training for various reasons. NOT one of the 6. (They are NPCs which will be both good and bad, depending on you're stance.

Battles are not stat, (due to my disinterest in stat and the stat differences between Pokemon and Digimon,) but don't expect to win every time, either. NPCs can be played by anyone but the challenger (except the 6) as NPC battles will be numerous. Two characters per player, as more could cause mass confusion for me.

Any questions, comments, queries or concerns?

  2. I'm just going to say that crossovers like this tend to go nowhere fast...

Anyway, if you can pull it off well, I'd probably join sometime after the RP starts.

  3. Bump, as the game almost completely changed. This could work, or could fail, depending on how much support others give me, and how well I can handle the game. Also, I will play non battle NPCs, and the six. This is pretty much open, but while you have two worlds to explore, at least try to keep your characters near, like, not one character in Johto, one in Hoenn, one in Canada, and one in Japan. Fly only works within your continent/region. (Pokemon League and Central America work like the Pokemon league in gold and silver, pit stop, as well as Russia for Europe, Asia, and Africa. Not sure about Australia, but Ferries from Snowpoint, Vermillion, Olivine, Slateport, Castelia, and One Island allow inter region travel, but Orre is off limits, as well as Ranger places. Spaceports in the US, Russia, and Australia link to Castelia, Seven Island, and Saffron.)

  4. I am down for this, if it is still active :D

  5. Yeah, I just bumped/updated/whatever it, so that's one.
