Euthora-Roul ~ Friitai Vol [SU and OoC]

Carisitai, Euthora- while always more advanced than the country of Durasken, the centuries passing since the Shapeshifters' revolt against the oppressing humans has allowed this country to pull even farther ahead, now rivalled only by the desert land of Nienearcl. While not up to the standards of, say, Earth in technology(still hanging around the medieval ages), this proud country is advanced in magical means, placing it among Euthora's world powers. Perhaps its most dominating features are the large jungle in the southwest and the mountain Aravolta Darz- known to the Drakine-savvy as "Divinity's Peak"- in the northwest. The tallest mountain on Euthora, this peak is fabled to be home to Cor and Rae, the sun god and moon goddess themselves. The winding mountain trail leading up to the pillar-adorned summit is worn but hesitantly visible, and every so often people will travel up to pay their respects.

But there's nobody saying that the relationship between the two gods themselves is a friendly one. The two are legendary not only for their divinity but also for nearly destroying their own planet millions of years ago when fighting. The four spirits- Myyr, Zyel, Kuu, Taelos- were created to settle matters, however instead of fighting the four resolved to work together. Between them they created the five truly sentient species of Euthora: Dragons, humans, Shapeshifters, Phoenixes, and Lupynns. But having not done what they were created to do, the four spirits still had to contend with the uneasy truce between Cor and Rae. Not wanting the planet to be in any more risk, the serpentine gods left each other to their own devices, doing their duties seperately.

The two slowly rose into quarreling once more, with increasingly destructive bouts as time went on. A large crevice was torn throughout the country Seotara during one such battle, leaving the region's inhabitants recovering for years and thankful that the neighboring Durasken had been overtaken by creatures uninterested in resource wars. Aravolta Darz itself became a battleground, though the plateau-like summit took little damage other than an occasional shattered pillar. And now, on the dawn of summer- Euthora's technical New Year- festivals of the Taein Ketra(Drakine for Summer Solstice) are interrupted as a streak of white and red- an enormous serpentine figure- winds erratically across the sky southwards from Aravolta Darz towards the Carisitai Jungle, where it disappears from sight. The nearby town of Arisey hears only a loud thudding impact as Cor himself crashes in the dense jungle near the shore of Leopard River. And there the sun god lays, badly injured and disoriented, the ruby-red gemstone on his forehead clearly displaying the spiderweb cracks of broken glass. Something attacked him, that much is clear. And the implications of the injury are fierce.

The eyes of Carisitai- the eyes of Euthora- look towards Aravolta Darz with a fearful wonder. Some are glad for Rae's assumed victory, whether it be for worship of her or relief at there finally being a winner. Others are furious or afraid, worshipping Cor over his counterpart or even understanding the consequences of Euthora losing a god. Still others are unsure what really happened, and wish to understand the chain of events that could lead to this. One thing is certain. This isn't going to end anytime soon...

    Native Playable Species
Dragons: A race powerful as it is diverse, this species can be any elemental "alignment" depending on breed. They are reclusive and rare in Carisitai, and keep primarily to themselves in the Divine Range. [Requires clearance to play] [Wiki articles coming soon]

Shapeshifters: Also known as Fera Mutat Speciem, these shape-changing animals are highly intelligent and often mingle with humans. Many even came from Durasken and neighboring regions, unhappy with their species' revolt, as justified as it was. A shapeshifter can become any animal it is exposed to- or exposed to habitat- for a long time, although due to the nature of the species they may have the genes of other species in their blood and acquire forms that way. A shapeshifter's eye and hair(or fur, scale, feather) color is the same in all forms. Strongly water-aligned, due to being directly created by the Water Spirit, Kuu. [Wiki article coming soon]

Humans: The "dominant" species of Carisitai, these hominids are often proud and vain. The creation of Zyel, they are strongly Earth-aligned, and found nearly everywhere in Euthora. Many of Carisitai's humans migrated from Durasken to escape the Shapeshifter Revolt, and dare not return as they are highly unwelcome there. Despite not having any inherent abilities, humans are quite resourceful and still can be a threat to stronger beings.

Lupynns: Mystical and rare, these winged wolves are also known as Rcha-Tyro or Fera Tempest. Strongly Wind-aligned as their creator Taelos, the Lupynn is a reclusive forest- and jungle-dweller that has an innate ability to control wind currents. They are intelligent and able to speak, but unlike wolves they are a primarily solitary species that does not form packs. [Requires clearance to play]

Phoenix: Also called firebirds or Aves Ignus, these Fire-aligned birds are highly rare and almost never seen. As Myyr's direct creation, the Phoenix is sentient, and has the fabled ability to ressurect from its own ashes. They are so rarely seen that not much else is known about them. [Definitely requires some talking to me before you can play it.]

Chii-Ranu: A new arrival to Carisitai, these vaguely reptilian, mutated horses are the result of human experimentation in Durasken. Many of them were killed off in the Shapeshifter Revolt, but others fled to such areas as Seotara and Nienearcl. Coal-black with yellow eyes and dull-colored manes, the Chii-Ranu is a bipedal animal and a very fast runner. Though with very aggressive instincts, they are intelligent and able to keep their predatory urges in check. They have the ability to create illusions, though this has been lost in some. This species tends to form pack-like "tribes" led by a dominant male. The Redmane tribe of Nienearcl is the most predominant tribe and has heightened its species poor reputation by forming a treaty with the humans of the same region. Species not listed above must be cleared with me before using.

    [Coming Soon]

  4. Name: Jason Shaver
    Age: Unknown, appears 19
    Gender: Male
    Species: Shapeshifter-Darkwing Firedrake hybrid

Appearance: Jason tends to stay in a mostly human form, with unruly jet-black hair and luminous, piercing emerald eyes that regard the target with a predator's indifference. Thin lines of silver can be seen in his hair upon close inspection-- not that you'll get that close. For his lanky, pale build, he is quite powerful, relying mostly on speed, reflex, and agility rather than raw power. He wears dark clothing, with a golden dagger at his waist that radiates a potent energy as if alive. The silver pentagram necklace around his neck also displays this energy. An ivory-colored, beautifully carved composite longbow with intricate designs of golden flame is strapped to his back, where two huge black dragon wings marked in silver sprout. He is about 6 feet tall with a roughly 15 foot wingspan. All of his forms are black and silver with luminous green eyes, and his feral forms are amber-eyed, with crimson lacing the black.
Personality: Jason is quiet and indifferent yet vengeful and merciless, but is extremely loyal provided you can ally with him. He typically does not mix with humans, or even shapeshifters, anymore- much preferring the company of Mimring and Starlight Thunderscale, his two Familiars. This demigod rarely takes potential threats lightly and eliminates them before they prove to be a danger to himself, his friends, or Rae. While outwardly aggressive and high-strung, Jason actually has a quite gentle nature and will not fight unless neccessary. One who gets on his good side will have a lifelong friend and fierce protector.
Backstory: Jason is several hundred, maybe even thousand, years old, and has quite a history as a result. Born somewhere in the wilderness of Durasken, his mother is the legendary Rae and his father was Rae's Darkwing Firedrake mate, Mordicai. Due to the risks to Jason posed by Mordicai's involvement in a group of dragons waging a war against the humans of Durasken, as well as by Rae's eternal duel with Cor, he was left with a shapeshifter in Jeirno by the name of Kaltai Turris and his then two-year-old son, Ganso. There Jason grew up, and eventually left home(after Kaltai was killed in a street fight by a human) to become not much more than a thief in the streets of Jeirno. During this time, he honed his shapeshifting, dodged humans, and discovered his skill in manipulation of dark energy.

When he was 19, the Fyrebornes- the very group of dragons Mordicai was the second-in-command of- attempted a raid on Jeirno. The young shapeshifter was chased along with several other citizens by the silver-blue Starlight Thunderscale, who was soon joined by his copper-golden brother Mimring. After a moment of running from the two, Jason was seized by a sudden impulse and turned to stand his ground against the two dragons, attacking them with a skill he didn't know he had- Dracomancy, the ability to command dragons. Not expecting this, Starlight fell prey quickly and it was all he could do to not attack his brother, who was engaged in a fierce battle of wills with Jason. After the long struggle, Mimring seemed to go out of control for a moment, attacking with a torrent of obsidian flame which Jason barely dodged. It was suddenly much easier to take Mimring- no control meant no resistance, and a powerful link formed between them. The Familiar link. Both dragons and the dracomancer passed out from the battle's exertion.

I will skim over the next part to avoid massive spoilers for Fyreborne, however all you need to know is Starlight eventually became Jason's second Familiar, and that he soon learned his heritage.

A few hundred years after, Jason led a revolution of the Durasken shapeshifters against the oppressing humans, with the help of his son, Tobias. The species easily and swiftly drove out or killed Durasken's humans and Chii-Ranu, and Jason became a legend among shapeshifters. The demigod was not held in as high regard as his mother, but was being written into myth as a herald of nature's wrath. Not liking the attention, Jason eventually retreated to Aravolta Darz and the rest of the Divine Range, an ocean away from his homeland. There he remains in Carisitai, aiding Rae and defending her from Cor in his father's stead.

    Equipment:
    -- Flaming Burst Composite Longbow:
Jason's "signature" weapon of sorts, this beautiful hunting bow is carved from dragon horn and engraved with intricate, golden designs of fire. The string is made from the tendon of a dragon's wing, and its red-and-black metal arrows carry arrowheads of an unknown stone-like metal and Lupynn-feather fletching. These arrows burst into flame upon impact, creating a small explosion but leaving the arrow itself unharmed and free to reuse. Jason stole the bow from a hunter's shop when he went to live on the streets of Jeirno.
-- Dragonbone Flute: This flute is carved from the tip of a dragon's wingbone and has long been one of his prized posessions. After having over a millenium to practice, Jason is an undeniable master of the art of flute playing. The flute itself is well-made and carries a sweet yet wistful, mourning tune that evokes feelings of loss and pains the heart. It carries no magical properties.
-- Lupynn Feather: A single black-and-red feather from the wing of a Lupynn that Jason carries around as a good luck charm.
-- Shardifi Dagger: A golden "dagger", this blade radiates a powerful energy as if alive. Because it is. [See Mimring Thunderscale's profile]
-- Shardifi Pendant: A silver "chain" carrying a pentagram, this necklace radiates a powerful energy as if alive. Because it is. [See Starlight Thunderscale's profile]
    Abilities:
    -- Shapeshifting:
Jason is an old and powerful shapeshifter and has had over a thousand years to hone the ability. By now, he is able to become any animal on Euthora and any nonnative creature he is exposed to. His shapeshifting is so advanced that he is fully able to control his feral forms, which spells danger for his enemies as these forms carry increased speed, strength, agility, and tolerance to pain. He is able to freely combine his forms so that at times he doesn't even look like a recognizeable animal.
---- Enhanced Senses, Reflexes, and Metabolism: As a shapeshifter, Jason has senses several times more potent than those of the average Euthoran wolf. This is particularly noticeable for sense of hearing and lowlight vision. These powerful senses aid his hunting and allow him to hear humans coming up the trail to Aravolta Darz from over a mile away.
As far as reflexes go, Jason is lightning-quick and fluidly flexible. There have been times when sheer instinct will compell his body to leap out of the way without his mind even registering it. This is particularly what makes Jason so formidable in a fight.
Jason's metabolism is incredibly high, allowing poisons and other chemicals to work out of his system extremely fast and rendering them harmless. A chemical his body produces, known as Asyentine, seems to have a greater effect on him and will not fade in potency until the Asyentine is all spent. This also allows wounds to heal faster, however he is able to heal almost instantly through shapeshifting. He has a higher resistance to temperature extremes. Unfortunately, this means that he will die of starvation faster than a human will, after approximately four and a half Euthoran days.
-- Dracomancy: Jason has the ability to control dragons. This is a psychic ability, and honing it has given him a greatly increased willpower and resistance to psychic attacks. Jason has two Familiars, Mimring and Starlight Thunderscale, and has forged such a powerful mental bond with them that their thoughts are indistinguishable from each others'. Having two Familiars means that he is able to "borrow" their abilities for his own use, and vise versa. If one dies, the other two will about 18 hours later, however this can be increased to 72 hours if the deceased's spirit flees into one of the other two. The downside of this is that it creates mental and spiritual strain on the host. Jason is fully able to take more dragons, perhaps the entire continent's, however he has no wish to.
-- Shadowimpery: Jason discovered he had this ability shortly before turning 16, when he first went into his Darkwing Firedrake form. His ability to control dark energy initially was only available in his dragon form when he felt threatened, however with training from his father he has honed and completely mastered the power. He is now able to use it in all forms. While one of his lesser-known abilities, it is still incredibly powerful and not something to be taken lightly.

  5. Name: Judas Numidius
    Age: Unknown
    Gender: Male
    Species: Lycan (non-native)

    Appearance:
    [General]
Judas, or Jude is a seven foot four inch lycan -- not to be confused with werewolves, these humanoid canids stand completely upright and possess sentience and highly advanced intelligence -- with a vivid white coat of fur and a sort of off-white, almost bluish head of short hair. He has deep blue eyes (that flash to red for a few seconds when enraged) and two-inch retractable blue claws. His tail is proportionally lengthed to his body size, measuring about three or so feet long, with an icy blue tip. Overall, he is a thin, moderately toned build -- built for speed. When hovering, his eyes turn a paler blue and he develops a pale bluish energy aura.

    [Clothing]
Jude's clothing consists of dress unique to his original pantheon -- a white tunic with a musical staf on it overlaid in blue that's trimmed with intricately-forged platinum edging, a white Roman-style loincloth with a sapphire-encrusted platinum belt, two sets of platinum armbands (one set on the biceps and the other on the forearms) inlaid with white jewels -- the left symbolising his domain of sound, the right symbolising his heritage -- with forged patterns depicting eighth notes inside droplets of water. His footwear is composed of patterend, cured leather with yet more platinum trim and a fabric liner in the form of a pointed boot.

Personality: Jude usually gives the appearance of being level-headed and reasonable, however, since an incident several thousand years before that nearly led to his cousin's death, that facade is short lived if he finds a fellow deity in danger. He's also generally quite mysterious due to the majority's inability to even begin to decipher his complex thoughts. He usually doesn't use his divinity to throw his proverbial weight around.

Backstory: Initially from the polytheistic Feronite pantheon, Jude still has many ties to them despite severing all physical ties over two thousand years ago after their War of Gods. He took an extended "vacation" in Carisitai (don't let this fool you, he used that as an excuse to move away from his own ravaged planet) and slowly began to gain favor among its residents. While nowhere near as widely-recognised as Cor and Rae, he still maintains a presence on Euthora.

    Equipment:

+ Arctic Whipblades: These two blades are fashioned of solid, nigh invulnerable ice sections connected with chains made of the same ice. In each blade, there are about eight sections and around 20 feet of ice chain.

+Traditional Garb: [See: Clothing section of Appearance]

    Abilities:

--- Divine Dominion of Rhythm, Sound and Tempo: Being the god of these three concepts, Jude has complete control over not only how they interact with himself and non-living things, but also living organisms and the world as a whole.

--- Lesser Dominion of the States of Water: While of significantly lesser degree of power compared to his divine domain, his manipulation of the traditional water element is a solid supplement to it and his psychic ability.

--- Psychic Power: Standard fare for a psychic -- telepathy, mind reading, telekinesis and flight as well as mental influence and immunity to mind-affecting techniques.

--- Vampire Abilities: These are more of a supplement to his other abilities. Includes greatly elevated speed and physical strength as well as greatly improved hunting and tracking skills.

  6. Name: Khim Zekrim
    Age: 17
    Gender: Male
    Species: Shapeshifter

    Appearance:
    [Human Form]
The first thing anyone will notice about Khim would be his Mint Green Eyes and his Light Gray hair. His calm expression at tense times eases people's trouble and sometimes stops arguments. His rags consist of a dark brown collared shirt, which is only half-buttoned revealing his chest, and torn up black pants that extends to his feet. Besides his clothing arrangement, Khim's gray hair is left messy with his bangs falling in front of his eyes. When he smiles, a pair of feline-like fangs could be seen.

Personality: Though his parent's had passed away a couple years before, Khim has managed to keep a calm demeanor throughout his life. Even when he is hunting for prey to eat, he doesn't reveal a savage face. Whenever someone looks, the only emotion can be seen is his kindness/calmness, but some don't believe that's his true self.
    Backstory:

    Equipment:

    - Twin Daggers: Two daggers
    Abilities:

    - Shapeshifting: Able to change his/her form to a different creatures one.
    • Basic Form: Human
    • Primary Form: Cheetah
    • Acquired Forms: Raven, Hyena

    - Enhanced Senses: Being a Shapeshifter, Khim has better sense than Humans like being able to see a prey from far away or hear when someone is sneakily trying to find him.

    - Hunting: Having to care for himself after the passing of his parents, Khim has become a master of hunting, as a Human and one of his Beast Forms.

    - Sky's Roar of Thunder: Ever since he was born, he has been able to produce and control the electricity around him, sometimes even the lightning that strikes. When he asks his parent about these powers, his father attains a grim expression and never answers the question.

The constant berates of humans/shapeshifters about a particular form, is just responded with a soft-ridden sigh. Whenever someone looks, the only emotion can be seen is his kindness/calmness, but some don't believe that's his true self.
Backstory:From his birth to the beginnings of his childhood, Khim had a very average life for a shapeshifter. When he reached the double-digits he began to experience a unique power with water, which his parents told him to keep secret to the others. After his parents had passed away, he became more secluded, but decided to learn more about his species and the others that inhabit Euthora.

    Equipment:

    - Twin Daggers: Two daggers given to him from his father before he passed away. It's history with Khim, so far, has only been with hunting his prey and carving.

    - Hunter's Pride: A bow Khim craved out himself, which he used to shoot his catch. It has yet to be used in battle.

    - Xenos: A blade that Khim found one day while hunting in the woods. He doesn't question on what it was used for, but just admires it as a whole. By the appearance it was a small blade that has seen many battles.
    Abilities:

    - Shapeshifting: Able to change his/her form to a different creatures one.
    • Basic Form: Human
    • Primary Form: Cheetah
    • Acquired Forms: Raven, Chii-Ranu

    - Enhanced Senses: Being a Shapeshifter, Khim has better sense than Humans like being able to see a prey from far away or hear when someone is sneakily trying to find him.

    - Tears of the land: Ever since he was born, he has been able to produce and control the water around him, sometimes even the rain that falls or the ice that forms in the winter. When he asks his parent about these powers, his father attains a grim expression and never answers the question. So far, he has been able to control water particles and some solid forms as well.
