Avatar: Legends Awakened [OoC Thread]

Welcome to the Out of Character thread for Avatar: Legends Awakened! Before this wonderful roleplay gets started, Nate and I would like to provide you with some important information that will serve as useful to your first post and character making in general.

To refresh some memories here, this roleplay takes place one year before the next Harmonic Convergence after the one that took place during Korra's era. What is Harmonic Convergence, you may ask? To put it in simple Brian/Mike terms, its a monumental battle between the two most dominant forces of the spirit world [Raava and Vaatu] to determine the fate of the earth [whether or not it will fall under another 10 thousand years of light or darkness]. Since its been 10 thousand years since LoK, technology has been given more than enough time to advance. Though you may think it will be all chrome futuristic stuff, it wont...really. The world in this time is in a futuristic Art Deco style. [because...culture, art, technology, and style do not go in a simple linear path...it goes around in CIRCLES] Because of advances in tech, the need for an avatar to save people faded away when the world fell under a utopia-like state. Now, because this RP is set on a time where an avatar is currently running around unknown, the setting will differ from the standard "every main character will meet within the first or second post" thing. 

There will be TWO separate scenes-- two groups, if you will. One group will be starting off in a place called "Nakong City" in The Earth Coalition [this group will be the ones looking for the avatar] while the other group will be starting off in the same area where the Avatar is at. Both groups will eventually merge, thus forming the new Team Avatar. Choose one side or choose both. If you choose to start off your main with the Nakong City group, do so. If you want to start off with the Avatar, go right ahead. It's totally fine if you want to make multiple characters to be with each group, just let us know.

As always, this OoC thread will serve to bring you IC and OoC updates for ALA and answer any questions you may have PLUS minor plotting. Check back often and happy RPing~
