A Jonno Update: Christmas 2013 Edition

Discussion in 'Comings and Goings' started by Jonno, Dec 19, 2013.

  1. Yeah, so, I've been essentially gone again for the past month and a half or so. While that is totally not typical in any way, shape, or form  was a bummer for me to have to do, disappearing unannounced yet again, I do once more have my reasons for doing so. It's all along the lines of a mixture of:

    1. A killer 7 week math course
    2. Family antics
    3. National Novel Writing Month
    4. More family antics

At first, all I was busy with was NaNoWriMo completing my novel, "Babuta's Kingdom", which is the second book in my "Realm of Belief" series that I've gotta say improves exponentially upon "Project Believe" in so many ways that I'm going to rewrite that bugger in the near future as well(!!!) for the event. I eventually went on to win the thing with over 120,000 words input into their processor and nabbed myself a snazzy little winner's certificate doodad. Directly after that, however, the family antics doth beguneth.

My grandmother has been hospitalized twice this past month with issues having to do with complications of diabetes at an elderly age. She had blockage that needed to be dealt with due to a lack of a gallbladder plus poor diet at first, having had a seizure mid-conversation. Once she was let out that time, it took no more than two weeks for her to suffer a seizure again -- this time due to high salt intake as well as a urinary tract infection. Today, she just now gets to check out of the rehabilitation clinic who helped her get back on her feet as she couldn't really walk the first few days past her second hospitalization. With all of this medical drama, my grandparents are pushing harder than ever to move in with us, though my mom is viscerally upset by that because she thinks that, as my grandma keeps falling over backwards this past year or so that she's going to konk out onto our sautillo tile flooring and die in the process.

So there's that, and that's a daily set of struggling conjectures in and of itself. We're supposedly heading out at the end of January to meet up with them and bring them to Arizona, where they're going to need to help us move into a new place that can better accommodate them if they want to move here at all. That'll be fun in and of itself, since it'll take convincing them through repeating that they cannot move into our current house in her current condition virtually a kajillion times. Stubbornness and all that.

There's some other family stuff that's going on, but none that I feel supremely comfortable with sharing on a public forum basis, if you understand that. Not that I don't trust you guys and gals, but I don't want GoogleBot all over what I'm saying to distribute everywhere on Earth in this particular instance while the problem is still ongoing as, as you might imagine, I don't really want anyone in my family to read this and become overly upset. I respect their privacy in this situation-- it's not something that needs to make headlines. It's not nearly as bad as you may think by my describing it in that sense either, so don't worry about that, hurhrurhruirui.

Anywho, pair all that with a killer math course right before Winter break, and boom-- you've got an MMM, o Mighty Mixture of Majesticjonnoreasonswhyjonnocouldntbeonzejfrequentlyfromnovembertodecember. This post is not only being made as a general life update but as an announcement that I'm going to try to be posting every so often over the holidays, spreadin' that Jonno Christmas love. B) Cheers, folks.
