Pokémon X and Y

Welp, so much for only getting shinies through fishing chains! Just a fews moments ago, I decided to breed my Greninja for better IVs. It kinda worked, although to my surprise, one of them hatched shiny. With Protean.

It's weird how my luck works sometimes.

 

So here's something for you to figure out: last night, the Japanese site updated with the rest of the Megas...

And only three of the remaining Pokemon. Why, I don't know...

Meanwhile, on my side of luck, I managed to get some awesome stuff from GTS for reasonable stuff. Including a Sassy Spiritomb! With Infiltrator! For just a Graveler!

I'll be breeding this for more Infiltrator Spiritomb with this for the rest of you guys.

 

So I managed to get another Japanese Ditto from Wonder Trade lol

 

So apparently, you don't need to see all of the Kanto birds to complete the Coastal Kalos Dex. How do I know? Because I managed to "complete" it and get the Oval Charm without even needing to see Articuno. I guess they really aren't that jerkish this gen.

Also, something I wish I learned sooner regarding the suicidal Basculins:
Apparently, they learn Final Gambit at Level 50, and the highest level you can find them in this game is Level 55. At that point, their moveset is Double-Edge, Flail, Scary Face, and Final Gambit. Which, of course, is a terrible moveset for fighting Ghost-types, since they can literally do nothing except harshly lower your speed three times. So, if you're planning on chain fishing with the Super Rod in Victory Road or Route 21, make sure to carry a Ghost-type on your team to switch to in the event that the shiny you find is a Basculin.

 

Doesn't stop you from trying again.

On that note, shiny luck for today. Three shinies from chain fishing.
First was a Relicanth caught in Ambrette Town. Decent nature for it, although its ability could have been better.
Then was a Qwilfish caught in Route 8. Kinda the reverse.
And last but not least, from Route 21, a shiny Basculin. Tried out my own advice with epic success (and a crit catch). Good nature AND ability for it too.

 

In the middle of chain that seems to be going on forever after getting out of another chain that seemed to have gone on forever. From that chain, I got another shiny Relicanth and... yeah, it actually makes my last one particularly awesome...

EDIT: 10 minutes later, nothing.
EDIT (2): And then at one point, I take too long to reel and broke the chain. Great. Just... Just great.

 

Yeah. I mean, sometimes I find stuff for reasonable prices, but mostly ridiculous requests. It's even taking longer for my offers to get responded to.Like a while ago, I put a Ditto in the GTS to try to get another foreign one.

No one offered.

It's a good thing I got another Jap off of WT.

Today, I spent a few minutes trying to breed myself a Jolly Scyther from the one I already had (which I still plan to evolve and re-EV train). Of course, that got nowhere except an Adamant. So I eventually decided to check through my PC to see if I had a Jolly-natured Pokemon from its egg group. And guess what I ended up going with?

A Spanish Accelgor I got off of WT!

So now I have my Jolly Scyther. With Bug Buzz, but whatever.
