This Dream 【RP Thread】

Discussion in 'Statistical Roleplays' started by Shadow, Nov 11, 2012.

  1. Sekhmet stood silently for a moment, staring off into the distance, her brow furled into what could only be described as concentrated thinking. "What just happened... Everything happened so fast, I couldn't even prepare..." She snapped from her moment of thought as the voice of another girl caught her attention.

The girl looked to be 12, wearing a schoolgirl's outfit. What surprised Sekhmet was the two smoking guns she held. Sekhmet found herself questioning her own skills-- No, what was she thinking?! She was Sekhmet; Goddess of Violence and the sands -- nothing could oppose her!

Sekhmet gave a cold-hearted laugh as she began to see a theme with this place. Were there no restrictions towards age in this place? She thought.

Sekhmet was starting to dislike this place even more, going so far as to emit a loud grunt to emphasize her distaste for the current situation before her. She stopped herself, feeling the odd notion that any more of her behavior wouldn't get her anywhere; she needed some answers.

She listened to the girl for a moment, if only to fuel more anger to the fact that she assumed Sekhmet would just obey her and wander off somewhere else to resolve such a pointless quarrel. Sekhmet balled her paws into a fist ready to give the girl a piece of her mind. However as it turned out, Sekhmet was interrupted by the girl's own stupidity and forgetfulness; The girl quickly backtracked through her mind, coming to the conclusion that Sekhmet, as well as the other 'things' had only recently arrived here.

Sekhmet released her paws, pivoting to face the girl as she folded her arms. "As if you realizing we were new was any great surprise. I'd admit that we stick out like a sore thumb, especially in the middle of a field with practically no other life to be seen..." For the most part, Sekhmet stopped caring about the imbeciles around her. However that didn't stop her from giving them baleful glances and scowls as she looked around, wondering what was going through their heads.

"If I would suggest something? Perhaps after we've gotten out of this little squat we could have a word with the people who sent us here... Perhaps give them a line or two about 'child safety' -- not that it matters to me, but I just don't want to be stuck fighting with little girls, it doesn't help morale..." Sekhmet smirked, giving a mental smile, not caring about anyone else. She was happy to make herself laugh, albeit on the inside.

Sekhmet took one last gaze at the rest of the group, still not feeling any emotional attachment, but wondering how long each would last, and whether or not they would last long enough to be of some use to her...

  2. Kalum sighed with relief as the newcomer interrupted the fight. There was no telling where the quarrel would have gone had she not intervened. Despite her age, she handled her guns with skill. Kalum hadn't even seen a gun, let alone one skilled in using one, since-- ... what? Another block to his memory. Kalum glared at the grass at his feet, trying to access that bit of information. All he got out of it was that guns were rare where he came from. He shook his head as Kip'yaia snorted.

    "You handled that situation beautifully."

    "Shut up."

The Lupynn chuckled and centered her teal gaze on the girl. "We- that is to say, my partner and I- thank you for your intervention. The spat was about to become a battle, as it seemed." Kip'yaia turned her muzzle to look at Sekhmet before continuing. "Some of us would do well to keep our tempers in check." She fell silent, looking at Kalum half-expectantly.

The boy cleared his throat, looking around, feeling awkward. "Well... since introductions were interrupted, my name's Kalum Tasis. The Lupynn is Kip'yaia." Apparently. The canine's presence still confused him, as he didn't know why she was there. Kip'yaia claimed to be his spirit guide, but... could those myths even be true? If only his memories weren't blocked! All he remembered was that his culture worshipped the Lupynn because of some legend akin to what was going on with him and Kip'yaia. No further details than that.

Sighing, he waited for the others to, at the very least, regain the composure they had fleetingly gained before they'd set to infighting.

  3. "You're fucking kidding me!" Ebrethiel cursed, watching the Python he had summoned suffer a change of trajectory brought on by-- what was that even, a goddam falling star?! If that wasn't infuriating enough, what appeared to be a bullet had destroyed his skeletal peon entirely! 'I'll kill them. Every single one of them. The bastards...' the demon thought mutinously (and hastily), turning around and taking in the scattered people near him. Previously-narrowed eyes widening a little, he noticed the young girl holding two guns; her short, fluorescent hair even more blue than the clear sky. As soon as he saw her, he was fascinated-- intrigued beyond belief. Forgetting that he was supposed to be making that bitch Sekhmet repent, Ebrethiel found himself attentively listening to what the girl was calling out... even though as she went on, he only felt more confused.

Vaguely perceiving Sekhmet proclaim what must be more ridiculous insults, the demon began walking towards the mysterious girl. He had no idea where he was, who the hell the beings around him were, or even who the vivid girl was, yet he knew he wanted to be acquainted with her.

While he was still a fair distance from his objective, Ebrethiel heard a new voice thank the girl, the feminine tone succeeded by a boy's voice Ebrethiel ambiguously recognized-- had he, if not just barely, heard the male currently speaking tell everyone to calm down a little earlier? 'Doesn't matter. Everyone who was around me when I woke up is an idiot. But she...' Ebrethiel focused on her face-- is it even possible for eyes to be that shade of entrancing purple?-- and articulated to himself, 'is interesting, and cool.'

Crossing a comparably vacant expanse, Ebrethiel drew closer to the aqua-haired girl. A twinge of nervousness in him, he stopped right before her. "Hi. I'm Ebrethiel," he offered in a surprisingly steady voice, extending a hand to her.

For despite wearing a schoolgirl's uniform, she was the most unique female Ebrethiel had ever seen.

  4. "Well, well. You must be new here."

“Does that observation mean you have information for me?” Arkai demanded with a kind of desperate plea. “I mean to say, you know who the leu-- ” Arkai quickly stopped himself, realizing he was getting ahead of himself to a dangerous degree. He stepped away for a moment to catch a deep breath.

As everyone else was introducing themselves, he decided to do the same. His voice returned to a calm, professional tone, and his posture was straight and formal. “My name is Arkai Genium. I’m here on what you may call a personal quest.” Arkai stopped for a minute. He pondered the implications of the young women’s words further. “If these people are also foreign, I would imagine their story may be the same. I apologize for any inconvenience our presence has caused.” As Arkai spoke, he subtly  pulled the flower out once again. He knew nothing of this place, and he wanted to be prepared in the case that an apology was not enough.

  5. Oh, thank goodness. Lillian immediately relaxed, her shoulders slumped as she lowered her hand. She wasn't sure what she would have done if Rina's attack hit and then Sekhmet retaliated. It would have turned into one giant chaotic battle and Lillian wasn't sure how she would subdue them. She didn't want them to fight but considering the varying personalities in their group, it was clear it was unavoidable. Lillian mentally sighed. She just wished they didn't have to be so physical about it.

But, thankfully, she wasn't the only one who wanted to keep the peace. Kalum-if she remembered correctly-had attempted to prevent an all-out battle as well.

Turning to look at this new person, Lillian gave her a weak smile. Not even half an hour had passed and she was already exhausted from having to deal with all these people. She really didn't understand why they couldn't at least be civil to each other, especially the lioness. She really didn't have to act like such a bit-

Lillian nearly slapped herself. No! She couldn't think like that. The brunette let out a breath, calming her heart and listening to the whispers of the stars. It was a terrible habit of hers, to think such harsh things about others. She really needed to stop it. But it only happened when she was upset so she just had to cheer herself up. That's right, Lillian nodded to herself. She had to look on the bright side of things. Nothing terrible had happened. She had to keep her chin up.

  6. "Oi, what's that about child safety? I could easily--" she prepared to counter Sekhmet's rather derogatory comment, but allowed herself to be interrupted as the others formed a chorus of introductions. She, too, allowed them to formulate their respective thanking notions, and mention their names to her--or to each other?--before deciding to speak herself. Maneuvering the ornate revolver with an extremely skillful, flipping motion, it simply vanished without a trace in an instant of visibility. A flash of motion gave the collected group a glimpse of an indiscernible name engraved on the wide barrel, but nothing else.

"Heh heh heh," she giggled for a second before blowing out the smoke of the remaining handgun, "You're all funny, I'll tell you that. But you wouldn't survive a day here~" she chimed, grinning as her gaze trailed through everyone, "I mean, you all look terribad. Like you've just fallen from that cliff over there." the girl casually pointed, as if it was an obvious detail they had all overlooked, directly ahead. Or rather, to an indefinite point behind them all.

And to those who turned, they would have been greeted by the impossible existence of a cliff. Due to its position, the inward shadows and details of the coarse formations of rock were accentuated for it received the light of a nonexistent sun. Its walls, their height reaching more than five meters, bordered in a nearly perfect linear motion like if it was a petite plateau, its true limits lost in the accumulated density of the local vegetation. The girl giggled again, the mischief in her voice evident, her smirk transforming into a grin of what could be best described as intrigued amusement.

"Maaan, I'm so glad I got to you guys before Midnight did. Let's get started now, 'kay?" she continued to speak as if everyone knew what exactly she was referring to, with clearly no intentions to answer their questions and pleas... hopefully, for the moment. Finally, her attention was diverted to the boy approaching her. She raised an eyebrow as he--rather awkwardly, no less--extended a hand to her.

    "Hi. I'm Ebrethiel."

    She grasped his hand.

"Hi. I'm going to kick your ass. Y'know, learning experience and all."

And she was not joking. Before he or anybody else could have a window of proper reaction to her words, she practically yanked him towards her with a strength no girl her age could possibly have. His chest met the metallic touch of her weapon, and the trigger was then immediately pulled. And she let go of his hand.

    CLICK!

    BANG!

The impact was completely painless. What was more, the bullet did absolutely nothing to Ebrethiel's physical body. But a shock of force propelled him backwards for practically the same length he had traversed, as the projectile he had been shot with pulsed strongly with an unknown energy. It was a dreamlike, illusionary essence, tangible enough to be perceived, but nonetheless immaterial and fleeting, with faint traces of plum pink... and, as if the very sight had triggered a word from a foreign memory, the name became almost palpable in their brains. Dreamflow. In what seemed milliseconds, it flooded the entire area, partially concealing the notorious forms of the palms as it enshrouded everything.

Then, the veil of phantasm was torn apart.

The scenery became visible to the group, once again. In exception of the fact the majority of the palm trees had been perfectly displaced to the sides, as well as the presence of the spontaneously-appearing cliff, the area was completely unchanged. The girl stood exactly where she had been before, with her one-handed weapon readied for imminent usage. It was a nondescript pistol this time. Residual strands of Dreamflow, trailing seemingly aimlessly, began to condense and reform, shape adapting to three invisible molds before becoming progressively defined--materializing as concrete objects. Within seconds, two standard quivers stood near both Kalum's and Sekhmet's reaching ranges, each filled with dozens of arrows. Ebrethiel, meanwhile, would find himself suddenly grasping the rough wooden shaft of a spear...

"I would pick up my weapons if I were you,"

A bang came along with a bullet whizzing towards the heavens.

    "Cause it's time to fight!"

  7. Rina starts a H5.

    Ouch! Rejected...
Rina thought with a wince, before shaking the thought off, it was no time for thoughts like that. She quickly ran over to where the boy had been knocked back to. "Hey, are you ok?" She asked, while examining his condition. Once confirming he was ok, she turned to the the young girl.

The landscape had seemed to change, which though weird, Rina figured must have been pretty normal around here, but what really mattered was the girl. Though it made her sick to have to fight a child, it didn't seem like the girl was going to give them a choice. With a sigh, she began to try and get attune with the spirits. She was going to need their help for this one.

  8. Sekhmet starts at I1

Sekhmet snorted as the little girl explained how Sekhmet was incapable of 24 hour survival, and parted her lips to say something nasty to the girl. However she changed her course as she witnessed the demon-boy sail through the air, Sekhmet laughed in amusement. Serves you right, you little runt... She thought to herself as she quickly shook away any residual positive energy she had.

Sekhmet turned herself, ready to say some witty comment to the little girl, however her attention was torn for the second time as the world around her shifted, making a larger area, almost symmetrical as the trees shifted into place. Sekhmet shook her head; She knew it was useless to question anything that went on here, nor did she care. Sekhmet was in her own thoughts until she heard "Weapons." She definitely liked the sound of that word. Without a second thought she readied her bow with a firm swipe. She noticed beside her was a large quiver of arrows. "Convenient, but not wise to give your opposition a means to destroy you..." she said coldly.

At that point, not alot of things passed through Sekhmet's mind. She was completely battle driven, focused on one thing and one thing only; Killing. She squeezed on her bow tighter, wanting someone to make the first move-- or she would. But then the battle would be over before it started... She thought. I'd better let the 'peasants' go first...

Sekhmet closed her eyes, her teeth bared as subtle growls could be heard. After a moments pause she looked back up, A baleful glint  in her eyes. Nothing else mattered, she could feel the rage building up inside her. Realizing how long It had been since she splattered someone across the ground -- more importantly, she would get to do it again... "I'll tear you apart!" She got a better stance as she uttered her battle cry, ready to rip this little girl to pieces.

  9. "Um." Kalum stepped back slightly as Ebrethiel was blasted back from the strange girl. Kip'yaia snorted in general surprise at the force of the blast, especially seeing as it seemed not to cause the demon-boy harm whatsoever. Kalum could only stare as the faint energy- Dreamflow, his brain inexplicably supplied for him- enveloped the area, only to be shredded to reveal not only the cliff, but that most of the trees had been displaced.

"Welp, this is just great..." Kalum muttered, silver eyes glancing to the side towards a random quiver of arrows. He was suddenly aware that his bow had been transitioned with him to this... place. The boy made to reach for the quiver, having heard all too well the new girl's declaration of battle. Kip'yaia got there first- her snowy-white muzzle clamped onto the strap, leaving her only to approach Kalum's left side and place the quiver.

He strapped it on and sighed. "Well, let's get this over with."

    "Definitely."

    [Kalum starts at G9.

    Kip'yaia starts at G8.]

  10. Oh. Oh dear. Lillian wasn't sure if she should have been surprised to see Ebrethiel be sent flying back from the stranger but she really wasn't. She couldn't be, not with the way things had been going since she had first woken up in this place. Of course something else had to go wrong. Still, at least they weren't fighting amongst each other. Seeing Sekhmet make her way toward the back, Lillian couldn't help feeling a pang of annoyance. First she went around saying whatever she wanted and when the battle started, the lioness ran straight for the back.

    How nice.

And she was doing it again. Lillian audibly sighed, not liking her thought process at all. But really, now wasn't the time. She had to buck up! Raise her chin! Face forward! Kick this little girl right in the-

Lillian stopped that before it went any further. She did not like where it had been going. Instead, she forced her mind back to the present and quickly made her way over to where Ebrethiel lay. Staring the little girl in the eye, Lillian reached up. A small orb of light that had been floating around her head since the moment she called upon the stars was then in her grasp. Gripping it tight in her hands, she waited and sure enough, its form changed. A moment later, it was a rod with a star-shaped model attacked to the end. It would be easier to channel her thoughts-the Dreamflow-from now on.

    [Lillian] starts at [G-4].

  11. "...Fucking kidding me," Ebrethiel swore to himself, having to stand up from being thrown to the ground again. He was about to shout back to the girl when he realized he was inexplicably, spontaneously holding a spear. "I would pick up my weapons if I were you," the demon heard the gunner advise. "Cause it's time to fight!"

A bloodthirsty grin. A tighter, more anticipating grip on the wood haft of the spear. And an awful stirring, swelling forth from the hell-dweller inside, to inspire ferocity. Scoffing sideways at the concerned voice that asked if he was 'okay', Ebrethiel gazed across the field at the vibrant-haired girl as the whole scene blurred and then refocused, the field less cluttered. He had heard her say it, just before she pulled that cheap move and sent him hurtling: "Hi. I'm going to kick your ass."

In a tone indicating an honest, eager challenge, Ebrethiel called "Let's see you try!"

  12. Arkai stood, crossed and unamused, as the girl (after she was done playing with her gun) pointed out a cliff behind him. A cliff Arkai knew perfectly well wasn’t there. Yet, it was inevitable; the aforementioned theoretical illusionist would surely hastily throw it in while he wasn’t looking. Much do his own distaste, he turned to look anyway, in some kind of vain hope that something in this world might make consistent sense. Upon seeing it, he let out a groan you would expect from someone who realized they forgot their wallet at the checkout counter. He immediately turned around to face the girl with a glare so spiteful it would have made you think that the summoning of that cliff had invalidated Arkai’s entire life’s work.

His chance to be petty didn’t last long however, as the demon boy flew across the room. “I knew I wouldn’t be able to trust anyone with actual information.” He said with a surprisingly calm distain. “I don’t need this, I’ve taken out people with more firepower than you with nothing more than a jar of mayonnaise and some willpower!” He hoisted his weaponized flower into the air, and pointed it at the girl. It stood upright for a moment, like a cartoon, before drooping down and hanging over his even less functional gloves.

Were the situation less serious, he would have shed manly tears on the spot.

    Arkai Starts at I7.

    ~ Enemy Phase I ~

"Hee hee, that's the spirit!" the girl cheered from her spot while her opponents readied themselves, both physically and mentally, for the challenge she had just forcefully set on them. Another surprisingly adept motion allowed the girl to launch the current magazine of her weapon behind her, instantly becoming lost within the wilderness, and then proceed to slam another she procured from literally nowhere with equal grace.

Her expression then changed, however, her confident smirk vanishing as her demeanor was quickly subdued by a serious overtone, or at least, what she could classify as such. She blinked once, her starry gaze hardening into focus as her eyes seemed to take in every visual factor into account at the same time, as she spoke, "Now, your Dreamflow. It's about time to put it to use, eh? You don't need details or instructions, just... try to use it. You'll know how. Everyone always does."

Her form seemed to waver a second, as if her own image was, too, an elaborate illusion, but an instant of extra concentration seemed to fix that. "Well, what are you waiting for?"

    ~ Ally Phase I ~

  14. Rina set about trying to contact the spirits, and soon made an unusual discovery. This dreamflow allowed the girl to more easily contact the spirits then ever before. It was quite amazing really, feeling the spirits heeding her call so quickly, when it used to take about an hour to just bring one out. With a grin, she began to get to work, looking for a particular type of spirit, that she thought would be quite useful for the given situation. Her grin turned into a full blown smile when she found the spirit so quickly. Oh great spirit, I call upon thee, grant me thy powers, so that we may be victorious.

Immediately a white rabbit appeared before her, the dreamflow helping it manifest, as it looked around the nearby area, before spotting Rina, and then jumping at the girl, entering her body. Rina was suddenly surrounded by a bright white aura, that soon took the shape of a rabbit, just like the one she had summoned. Immediately after, two white bunny ears sprouted from her head, and her heart began to beat at a much higher pace then ever before. Rina had always found the bunny ears to be very embarrassing, but this particular type of spirit was very useful, making her much quicker, and giving her a greater ability at dodging.

She then began to get to work again, finding another rabbit spirit, like the one she had just summoned. Oh great spirit, I call upon thee, grant my ally thy powers, so that we may be victorious. Soon, another white rabbit spirit appeared in front of the girl who was next to the young boy in front of him, before jumping at, and entering the girl's body. Her attack from earlier had been very powerful, and Rina felt that she would have better use of the Rabbit then the boy would.

She then ran over to the side, turning when she got to the man with the hilarious flower prop, and past the flying wolf from before, before stopping behind the tree. With a sigh of relief, now that she was behind cover, she turned to look around the corner, at the violent gun-girl, and waiting to see what her fellow comrades would do.

Rina casts Call of Spirits: Rabbit on herself, inflicts Haste and a +10 to evasion. Then casts Call of Spirits: Rabbit on Lillian. She then moves to F7 (H5-H6-H7-G7-F7). 10 MP left.

  15. Ra; I am your eye. I will purge this land of all the oppressors, I will slaughter those who would oppose your rule, thousands will die at my hands. I must honor thy father. Sekhmet's thoughts clouded and her instincts were quickly taking over as she appeared to be in a mental state. She inhaled deeply, holding her breath for a moment. Her blood boiled, she was going to finally get a taste of what she could do; no more unfulfilled threats or questioning of her own power... She tensed, and tore her bow into two halves, giving a loud clang that seemed to be the final 'breaking point' for Sekhmet's Rage.

Each half of the bow was now a brutal axe, the hooked head was something you'd see in a gore film, and it was about to be used appropriately. "I. WILL. KILL. YOU!!" She screamed, as she set off in a frenzied rage straight for the girl, content on seeing the axe chop off limb after limb; imagining the sweet taste of the girls blood on her tongue as she closed in...

She didn't look at her allies-- she didn't think of them as being anyone useful anyway... To Sekhmet, this was just another squabble that the others weren't fit to resolve, so was the mentality when you were a frenzied narcissist.

  16. Lillian blinked and cocked her head to the side, eyebrows furrowing as she listened to the girl speak. She wasn't sure why but it sounded like the other was trying to teach them something. Maybe about the Dreamflow? Or maybe she just wanted a good fight? Either way, she supposed they could learn something if the child continued to lecture them like this. She still didn't quite understand the reason behind all this but it wasn't like they could avoid it. If it was a fight the girl wanted, it was a fight she was going to get.

Focusing on the child, Lillian had to shake her head before she went cross-eyed as their opponent's image seemed to blur. Clearly the other had just done something, however, as to what it was still remained to be seen. Bracing herself to run forward, the brunette found herself suddenly freezing in place as something formed in front of her. A blink later and it turned into a rabbit. Lillian stared, unmoving as the wispy figure leaped into her body. At first, nothing happened. But the change was gradual and soon, she felt something take a place within her. Somehow, she felt faster.

Turning to see where the rabbit had come from, she was just in time to see Rina turn and run behind one of the trees. For a moment, Lillian thought maybe she was seeing things because she was quite positive Rina didn't have rabbit ears when she first saw the other female. But then a thought came to her and the brunette slowly reached up. Sure enough, she could feel something on her head. Lillian hummed, wondering if she should feel anything. Nope, nothing. Besides, it seemed like it would help.

"Thanks, Rina!" the brunette called out to the other while running forward, toward the gunner.

    [Lillian] moves to [D-4].

"Stars!" Raising her star rod towards the sky, Lillian cried out. In an instant, her call was answers and small lights shined, growing in size as they hurtled down from the air. They impacted the ground surrounding Lillian, leaving small burning patches of grass and dirt. They also rained down upon the gunner and, if hit, the child would be feeling the effects soon. Lillian felt no remorse as, invigorated by Rina's power, she called out for the stars once more to fall and strike her enemy down.

[Lillan] casts Starfall! [Girl] is affected! 4 Fnt Dmg. Cog is lowered by 10%!

[Lillian] casts Starfall once more! [Girl] is affected! 4 Fnt Dmg. Cog is lowered by 10%!

As the effects of her attacks died down, two glimmers of light appeared on either side of her being. They spinner and swirled before settling into the shape of two small or a of yellow light. Lillian gave them a glance and a smile. Even when she stopped calling them, the stars continued to help her. She let out a small giggle when the lights began to revolve around her being, as if unable to stay still.

Starlight activates! Two Starlights are formed!

Breathing out quietly, Lillian lowered her rod to her side to assess the damage. Small craters now littered the ground and Lillian would have felt a little guilty if she didn't know this whole place could be controlled by the Dreamflow. With enough power of mind, it could most likely be changed into something else, like the girl had done moments before the battle began. Raising her eyes to look at said girl, Lillian watched her for a brief second before skipping backwards back to her original position.

    [Lillian] moves back to [G-4].

It might have been useless considering the girl had a gun but the increase in distance made Lillian feel a little better. She wasn't too keen about getting shot, bullets hurt after all, but she would bear it if it came to that. A scream from behind made her pause and look back. Seeing Sekhmet in some bloodthirsty rage, Lillian rolled her eyes. Now she decided to come up front.

  17. Starting forward with a confident smirk, Ebrethiel advanced towards the Gunner, basic spear held at one side.

    {Ebrethiel moves to D5 (G5, F5, E5, D5)}

Stopping when he was just within distance to attack with his spear, the demon looked at his sudden adversary for a second. Swirling his spear in a semi-practiced fashion around himself, Ebrethiel asked, "Could I at least get your name?" Gripping his weapon steadily with both hands, he thrust forward, aiming for the intriguing girl's midriff. In the middle of the motion, he added in a snide tone surely meant to instigate a more interesting fight, "I'd hate to have to learn it from your funeral director."

    {Ebrethiel attacks [Gunner] at B5. (T-Ability: Vicious Zenith applies) 6 Phy. Damage}

  18. Kalum looked around as everyone set to getting ready for the battle. The lioness seemed to have gone into a greater rage, bolting forward with such speed and force that even Kip'yaia's cobalt fur bristled slightly. Kalum shook his head, looking at the others. The other two girls had... rabbit... ears... The Shyrden Tyro raised an eyebrow, choosing to ignore it--

    "Focus, Kalum."

Kalum was torn from his distraction and looked into the Lupynn's teal eyes, which held now a confident light. She clearly knew the combined forces of the group could take down the newcomer who seemed to know far more than they did.

If we don't kill each other first...

Kalum prepared himself, getting ready to do whatever he had to- to react as quickly as possible. He moved forward, quickly but cautiously, coming to a stop between two trees. He loaded an arrow to his bow, taking careful aim at the Gunner but not firing yet. Taking Kip'yaia's words literally, he focused, trying to aim for a potential weak spot.

Behind him, Kip'yaia also came forward, stopping on the other side of the tree to Kalum's left. As he aimed, Kip'yaia braced herself, but soon her attention seemed drawn to her partner. Around him, suddenly, an ethereal veil manifested, making the boy blink at the canine, though he didn't lose his focus. Kip'yaia merely nodded her response before turning back to the mysterious girl. Her feathers and fur puffed out as if to make her look larger, possibly a natural instinct. A low growl trickled from her muzzle: the somewhat sarcastic Lupynn had faded into a beast ready to protect her partner.

    ~ Enemy Phase II ~

Even though the first softly-glowing orb took her by surprise, the Gunner shrugged off the strike, but though she felt weakened in way beyond regular stamina. Watching as another rain of celestial lights was cast by the Star Child, the girl resumed her focus--this time, she was ready. The angled star singed nothing but grass with its magical power as she flipped forward in a motion converging a hop and a twirl. Almost immediately, an iron spearhead zoomed towards her midriff with increased lethality due to her new position... but her whole body seemed to flicker in response, reducing itself to a fading afterimage of motion.

"Hehehe! Too slow, demon boy~" a taunt arrived, almost in perfect sync with the Gunner's reappearance, milliseconds later. The girl took aim even before both Lillian and Ebrethiel could withdraw, and pressed the trigger. Two gunshots echoed, with two empty casings hitting the grass below as she retreated further to the left. But she was not done yet.

Dreamflow once again becoming visible, strands of it seemed to detach from the space around the Gunner as she directed them towards her weapon. The insides of the chamber shone with flamelike light, as if the handgun had been set on fire internally. She spun around, not using the tree as a cover the moments it took for her to use both hands to aim carefully at the loudmouthed "deity" before her.

    "Boo."

A click. A bang. A whoosh. Fire. A projectile, radically slower than a normal bullet, was shot from the pistol. It was a petite, igneous sphere which seemed it could be blown away with the slightest breeze... but when it made contact with Sekhmet's fur, it instantly spread flames fueled not by oxygen, but by energy. They lingered just as long for her body to be subject to a burn, before dimming down into nothingness.

"Somebody's got to try harder." came a last comment from the Gunner before she returned behind the temporary cover of the palm tree. Soon, she would need to move.

    ~ Ally Phase II ~

  20. Rina looked around the area, now that everyone had moved around. Both Lillian and the young boy had attacked the girl, but only the girl was able to him, and only once at that. And then the boy who was around her age, and his winged wolf companion, had moved to either side of the tree in front of her. Rina turned to the boy, and wondered what he could do, but quickly shook the thought off, now wasn't the time for that. Since he was the closest, he would have to do. With a sigh, the girl once again began to try and make contact with the spirits, identifying another rabbit one. Oh great spirit, I call upon thee, grant my ally thy powers, so that we may be victorious. Immediately, another rabbit spirit appeared, and leapt at the boy. Sorry about the ears. She briefly thought an apolofy to the boy.

Rina casts Call of Spirits: Rabbit on Kalum. 2MP left.

Rina then quickly ran over to a new spot, so as to get closer to the Gunner, but still not to close to Sehkmet. Rina couldn't stand the feline woman, and didn't really want to get close to her, when she was berserking. She took a place behind the young man who seemed to be part demon, and next to the winged wolf. With a sigh, she began to try and regain her energy. This dreamflow seemed necessary to do anything around here, so it might be a good idea to recharge on that. With a sigh, the young woman began to concentrate on reflowing the dream flow through her body.

    Rina moves to E5 (F7-F6-F5-E5).

    Rina then uses C-Skill: Reflow.

Rina's D-Skill: Dreamflow Regeneration proceeds to take effect.
