  1. So... This is Ustream..

A lone, cloaked figure stood upon the sand of the western coast of Ustream. His red hair was blowing in the light wind blowing across the beach. His green eyes glared towards the east, as if attempting to focus on a specific object.

... If what I heard about them was correct, they should be be somewhere east of here...

He then focused his attention at a watch on his left wrist. The minute hand appeared to have been snapped in half, but the watch itself had functioned normal despite that and had read 12:34. The clock face contained a digital clock in the center, showing the time 12:34 PM.

... Ten minutes until it's time to attack...
In ten minutes, it will be time to claim what should have been mine six years ago...

With a simple snap of his fingers, a small portal opened beneath him, and he quickly fell into it. The portal sealed itself immediately after he had completely fallen into it.

    ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Draco Maxima could be seen flying away from the northern mountain and toward the south. His flgiht direction had him flying toward the territory of the Cult of Ustream.

Riding on his back were two young men, both wearing golden robes with several streaks of black upon them. One of them was a yellow-haired, grey-eyed man wearing a black headband. This man had somewhat of a nervous expression on his face.
The second man, much older and bulkier in comparison to the yellow haired man, had eyes as black as his hair and somewhat of an angered expression on his face.
"... Okay seriously, Kenchoi, you need to take lessons on how to ride a dragon," the black-haired man said with a groan as he watched the yellow-haired man struggle to stay on the golden firedrake's back.
"Hey, you try staying on a dragon's back without slipping of!"
"... You mean like I am right now?"
"... I hate you, Hobek." Kenchoi gave the black-haired man an annoyed expression. "You just have to be better than me at everything."
"Exactly," Hobek answered. "I guess that explains why Quas likes me more than you."
    "That's not true!"
"Would you like to prove me wrong, Kenchoi?"
"Kenchoi! Hobekistu!" Draco Maxima growled. "This is neither the time or place for your arguing."
"... Sorry, master." The two of them gave each other a quick glance before facing away from each other.

"... So, exactly who are these people we're meeting again?" Hobekistu inquired after several seconds of awkward silence.
"An interesting group of people who have been protecting Ustream for the past couple of years," Draco Maxima answered. "One of their members happen to be the most active of the Shadow Drakes."
"One of the Shadow Drakes? I thought they were just a bunch of lazy good-for-nothings," Hobekistu responded.
"Probably Deathstorm from what you told us about them, maste-" Kenchoi suddenly stopped and turned around at the sound of a very loud screaming. Suddenly, a strange man in red whizzed past the golden firedrake towards the south, seemingly headed towards the same destination. ".... Speaking of good-for-nothings, who the hell was that?"
Draco Maxima sighed, and replied, "THAT is OKAYman, and fortunately for everyone's sanity, he's not part of the Cult of Ustream."

    ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Meanwhile within the decaying walls of the Ustream Colosseum, Lord X-Giga-X sat in the stands of the colosseum as he watched Grodisflare, Deathstorm, Hexidos, and Dexus in the middle of a practice brawl. From his observation, Dexus was having the most trouble out of the four, as he was barely managing to land a hit on the other three.

"Dexus, what are you doing? Start actually fighting back!"
"Give me a break, Giga! I'm trying my best he-" Without much of a warning, Dexus was hit by a wide beam of darkness fired by Deathstorm, sending him flying into the wall.
"... Dexus, quit messing around. You're making Deathstorm look like an actual threat."
"HEY!" Deathstorm prepared to make an actual response to his dracoimperist when he suddenly ducked to avoid a large, rapidly-rotating hexagon that missed the tip of his head by several inches. "... Okay, Hexidos, you're going down!"

The fight then resumed with Deathstorm and Hexidos starting to beat the crap out each other, with Dexus coming back in. Eventually, Grodisflare began to to take control of the battle, the other three struggling against him. By this point, Lord X-Giga-X had stopped watching the battle and began to stare at the clouds... His attention slowly shifted to the north as he noticed OKAYman flying toward what he assumed to be the headquaters of the Cult of Ustream. "... Why does he even exist?"

Looking towards the northern sky, he caught a glimspe of Draco Maxima also flying toward cult headquaters. ... Huh... I wonder what business Draco Maxima has with the cult today... He then gave a heavy sigh and said, "Eh, like it really matters. I can figure it out later."

Focusing back at the brawl occuring in the arena, he sighed as he noticed that Dexus was unconscious while Deathstorm and Hexidos were barely holding back Grodisflare. "You're just hopeless, Dexus." He then whistled, and as if by signal, a black robot rushed to his side. The robot, in appearance, seemed to be modeled after Lord X-Giga-X, sharing a similiar physical and eye color, the only difference being in place of his symbol, several red zeroes were visible on its "chest". Lord X-Giga-X simply pointed at the unconscious nebula dragon in the arena, and the robot rushed towards it.

"Sometimes, I wonder why I don't include these initiation opponents in my army..."

  2. Sitting up in the stands near Giga was Jude, the well-known psychic, demigod and musician. "OKAYman? Sometimes I wonder that myself. His very existence is the epitome of stupid." He replied, after looking up into the heavens at OKAYman's form flying by, "Furthermore, why was he even born?" "I guess you could say his existence is NOT OKAY-" Slap. "Dark, I told you, your puns suck." "Can I make even one joke around here?" "Sorry, no." At this last remark, Dark slid down in his seat, annoyed. "Giga, sometimes I wonder why you even have an army, but then I remember that you're an evil overlord."

  3. The noon-hour sun gazed its eyes thoughtfully into Eebit’s room in the Cult Headquarters; a massive building in the territory of Ustream. The monstrous building was one of very few settlements in the territory, and the home of the Cult of Ustream; the organization that the alchemist had been with for several years now. It was a tight-knit family of people, and despite having to be called almost constantly into the events on the planet of Euthora, Eebit enjoyed himself thoroughly. They had been so accepting of him, even when he first joined up…

…but that was irrelevant the task at hand. Presently, under the watchful eye of nobody but the sun itself, Eebit lazed in his room; the ceiling bearing the illusion of a moving planetary alignment, as he had enchanted it to do with his powers. The beauty of the cosmos had always intrigued him, as had many things related to his studies in the practice of alchemy. As he looked around his room, he saw his papers strewn every which way, giving the room a very homely appearance. The notes pertained to his studies, and some lay carelessly on the floor, while others were perched upon the wall, pinned there for some future reference that the alchemist had not gotten around to finishing yet.

Speaking of the alchemist, Eebit himself still lay in bed at the late hour of 12:40pm. He had been working for the majority of the night, finally ending up collapsing in this very position at approximately 4am. He now sat up, and strolled towards the window to the right of his bed, casting the light into the room, and stared out. The curtains, as per usual, obscured his vision, so he tossed them back, pouring light into the room now that it was uninhibited by the drapes.

Gazing out of the window now, he saw in the distance a glint of dragon scales flying towards the Cult’s territory… and closer still, he saw a flash of red. The latter could only be OKAYman; a mistake that had appeared one day, which had apparently triggered a pathological fear in the Cult’s leader; Jason Shaver. Eebit chuckled at this memory and sighed. “Times were so much simpler back then…” He shut the drapes, fondly remembering the times where the smallest things had irritated the shapeshifter.

But those times were no longer. The mini-planetarium continued to rotate ominously above him, as he strolled out of his room, shutting the door behind him. Time for breakfast, I suppose… or maybe brunch would be more accurate. He smirked at how he had overslept, and wondered how many Cultists would be awake by the time he made his way to the mess hall. He took his time, walking down the stairs of Cult Headquarters, hoping for another lazy day of soaking up the world…

  4. (Excuse the wall, I got a bit carried away... XD
Also, at first I thought that Mimring and Eeb used the same dialogue color but it looks like Mimring's is darker... *checks that*)

A streak of black fur darted between the trees, in hot pursuit of a rather large elk-like deer that had been separated from its herd. The hunter's eyes, green as the leaves of the forest, gleamed out from the lupine face, bright in excitement for the hunt, determined in a savage bloodlust that was only amplified by the vampiric nature of the wolf.

As if it were a true wolf.

Jason Shaver, shapeshifter, young leader of the Cult of Ustream, leapt over a fallen log and very nearly onto the back of his quarry, but it evaded his fangs by inches. He gave a low snarl in frustration but continued the chase. The deer had been getting better at evading him lately. Perhaps an adaptation to the skilled hunter that preyed on them. The introduction of the shapeshifter and an increase in the concentration of local dragons starting years back had driven the game to evolve quickly, speed and camouflage key aspects of survival. Jase often enjoyed the thought that he was witnessing the effects of evolution almost before his eyes- natural evolution, not the abominations created by human experimentation. Certainly, none of Giga's experiments would have evolved from the local fauna if left as they should be. Nor the Durasken Chii-Ranu, those vicious beasts that more often than not used the shapeshifters as unwilling cover so that the mutated horses could hunt in the villages unhindered--

Jase gave a startled yelp as, uncharacteristically of him, he tripped over a surfaced tree root, too lost in his own thoughts to pay attention to the terrain. Or his hunt. He stood, shaking the dust from his fur, before pricking his ears to listen carefully- a shapeshifter's sense of hearing was nearly unrivalled by any creature native to the continent that Durasken and Ustream rested on. He heard the hooves of his prey stamping on the fallen leaves and loose soil, and knew that he wouldn't catch up now. Rasst! He thought, angry enough that he mentally cursed in his Familiar's language. Not again.

I got it, Another voice offered as if in reply. Jase snorted; he saw a winged shape overhead, passing swiftly, and though it vanished over the trees in an instant, he knew that the brilliant golden-copper dragon was even now falling upon the prey that its master had failed to capture. And, not in a hurry anymore, the shapeshifter trotted towards where his prey had finally been caught- and came upon Mimring waiting patiently, his foreclaws gripping the struggling deer.

"Given your preferred methods of hunting as well as your... nutritional needs," Mimring began, "I felt it practical to merely stall your target." He released the deer then, and it bolted- but Jase was already streaking towards it. It had barely gotten ten meters from the dragon before Jase tripped it with his forelegs, immediately leaping for its throat and the crimson fluid that ran through it; something Jase needed due to being in exactly the wrong place at exactly the wrong time- around Jude when the vampire needed to feed. And now Jase likewise fed, though he had sworn to himself not to go after any of his allies, nor any traveler that happened to be wandering the territory.

Feeding was quick, both the initial blood-drinking and eating his fill of the deer meat, and he stepped aside to allow Mimring to eat. He relished having a hunting partner, though the dragon refused to take any for himself until Jase had finished, and he thankfully never had any need to eat food from the Cult's own storage. Human food was something he never really did like, save for a few luxuries that even humans saved for special occasions.

Jase waited for Mimring to finish. And when that had been accomplished, he jerked his head in the direction of Cult HQ; Come on. Let's get back to Headquarters.

  5. More time he had been spending here among the Demons. More time he'd been spending in the world of his origin. Always searching for answers to questions he feared to ask. He knew it would not be long before he finally release his past to build his future. "I've grasped at this refuge for too long, given into my weakness far too long..." Something he'd say but never act upon.

Ziolang collected the elegant straight-katana called "Dragon Blade". Even though he was fully capable of simply calling the sword to him, there was always a satisfying feeling of lifting his blade from its rest. The Demon stretched his crimson wings, admiring the half-inch they had recently grown. Demons always loved to flaunt their wing-size.

As he gazed into the portal before him, a great, pulsating, purplish rip in the air of his bedroom, he knew he would need to change. He didn't want to. Although he had been using the human shell for decades now, it always felt... unnatural. Might be because it was. "No. Today I go as me, and me alone. I am Ziolang Hirasu, Demon of Deveron and I'm not afraid to show it." Against the rules of the Demon King himself, the reckless Hirasu plunged into the portal in his full Demon form.

He still hated dimensional travel almost as much as his human shell. He hated the feeling of no control. Being completely incapable of action. Thankfully, the trip was less than a millisecond.

Ziolang found himself, as always, in the clearing of the great HQ building. A building of such majesty that he could never help riddling it with holes, at the expense of Kuda, not that the Demon ever cared for currency. With not much more to do, he simply let out his enjoyment of being a Demon up into the sky, otherwise described as the largest multi-color flame one would ever see.

  6. "... Is there any reason why you two are here?" Lord X-Giga-X kept his sight on the battle, not even glancing at either Dark or Jude. "I mean, I here keeping an eye on these guys-" He stopped midsentence as he watched Hexidos crash headfirst into the row of seats below him. "... Hexidos, what are you doing?"
"Agh..." Hexidos groaned as he got onto his feet. "Deathstorm, what the hell was that?!"
    "Nice work, Deathstorm," Grodisflare commented.
"So much for me being useless!" Deathstorm gloated. "Alright Grodisflare, it's your turn to-" Deathstorm stopped midsentence as he heard what he perceived to be the sound of something crashing from the direction of cult HQ. His attention first focused towards the direction of the sound before he turned toward Lord X-Giga-X and asked, ".. What was that?"
"Oh, it's just the sound of an idiot crashing."
    "Who, crazE?" Hexidos inquired.
    "Different idiot," Lord X-Giga-X answered.
"Oh, OKAYma-" Deathstorm found himself hit in the face by a large boulder, knocking him onto his back and unconscious.
"Me sorry. What it my turn to do?" Grodisflare sarcastically asked as he watched Deathstorm collapse. He then let out a growled burst of laughter.
"... KO by lack of focus again, Deathstorm? Really?" Hexidos responsed, the palm of his bear-like hand hitting his face.
Lord X-Giga-X simply let out a sigh of disappointment before finally saying something. "Grodisflare, get Deathstorm back to the lab."
"'Kay," Grodisflare muttered. He crawled over to Deathstorm, grabbed him by his tail, and proceeded out of the colosseum, dragging the unconscious Shadow Drake behind him.
As that was going on, Lord X-Giga-X proceeded out of the colosseum himself. Hexidos began to follow behind him.
"So, should I check up on the idiot 'superhero', sir?" Hexidos asked.
"No, I'm sure he'll be fine," Lord X-Giga-X answered. "Though, if you want, you can go to HQ and pretend to care why Draco Maxima's there."
    "... Nah..."

    ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

    "Ugh... that was not okay..."
A barely conscious OKAYman laid in a small crater approximately 125 yards south of cult HQ. He soon slowly began to crawl out of the crater. However, just as soon as he managed to poke his head out of the crater, he was suddenly crushed by the golden foot of Draco Maxima.
"... Uh... I think you just crushed the local idiot," Kenchoi uttered with a worried look on his face as he carefully climbed off the Golden Firedrake's back.
"I don't think it really matters, Kenchoi," Hobekistu responded, leaping off Draco Maxima's back. "He's just dropping us off here, so does it really matter where he lands?"
    "I guess, but still."
Once Kenchoi was on the ground, he and Hobekistu gazed upon cult HQ.
"So... this is their base? It's a lot smaller than I'd expect."
"Yeah," Hobekistu replied. "How the hell does everyone fit in a place like that?"
"Well, only a majority of the cult lives in that building," Draco Maxima answered. "Anyway, I'm going to leave you to converse with the members of the cult for a few hours. I'll be back for you two by sundown."
"Alright, master." Hobekistu then proceeded toward the building.
Kenchoi, however, stayed with Draco Maxima for a few seconds before cautiously following Hobekistu. He stopped for a brief moment, then turned back towards Draco Maxima.
"Don't worry, Kenchoi," Draco Maxima assured Kenchoi, a wide grin on his face. "You'll be fine."
Kenchoi nodded, then continued to follow Hobekistu to the front door of the building. Once the two of them were a good distance away from him, Draco Maxima ascended into the air, and began to fly toward the south.

With Draco Maxima finally gone, OKAYman once again slowly crawled out of the crater and towards cult headquarters.
"... Last time I ever sneak into a dragon's territory..."

  7. There was the sound of crashing in the direction Jase was trotting, with Mimring following loyally behind. He flicked his black-furred ears forward, scenting the wind; the somewhat bitter scent of humans greeted his nose, as well as the smoky scent of a dragon. It wasn't anywhere near uncommon around here, but while he easily recognized OKAYman's scent, and vaguely recognized Draco Maxima's, he couldn't place the other humans, though he could tell there were two. Advantages of having a powerful sense of smell, both from his form and species- Shapeshifters had more powerful senses than the forms they took- and being a vampire. He continued approaching, but instead of the brisk trot he'd been traveling in before, his steps were slower, more cautious, almost like a real wolf who'd sensed a threat.

So it seems we have company, Mimring mused. But, the question is, are they friend or foe?

There's only two, Jase replied. His emerald eyes were focused in the direction of the unidentified scent as Mimring took to the skies, as if to scout ahead. If they're enemies, then they are foolish ones.

Mimring chuckled at his master's slightly overconfident tone at that. As the two neared HQ- Mimring in the clouds and Jase on the ground- they saw Draco Maxima taking to the skies and heading south. They strained their vision for the humans; Mimring spotted them easily from his vantage point. Jase saw them but not quite so well, but viewed through his familiar's eyes. He picked up his pace, soon coming upon the two humans who were approaching the front door of HQ. Jase came up quietly behind them, transitioning to his human form as he did so, and stopped about a foot behind them.

    "Can I help you?"

  8. "Relax, Kenchoi," Hobekistu assured his hesitant friend. "You're getting worried over nothing."
"You sure about that, Hobekistu? I mean, do we really-"

"BWAH!" The already uneasy Kenchoi became startled by the sudden voice of Jason, falling face first onto the ground.
Hobekistu, on the other hand, was only mildly shocked as he turned around to look at Jason. "... Do you make a habit of sneaking up behind people or something? I mean look at my friend here. He's been rather uneasy all day and really did not need the extra surprise." He glanced at Kenchoi. "Though, if you ask me, he kinda needed a little reassuring of the fact that coming here would do him some good. So... yeah... Thanks for sneaking up on us."
"Not funny," Kenchoi responded, getting back onto his feet and giving Hobekistu an annoyed glance. He then suddenly shifted his attention towards Jason, and then stared at him for several seconds. "... You know, you look like someone master Maxima described to us a few days ago..."
Hobekistu gave Kenchoi a glance before looking back at Jason. "... Yeah, you're right..." Completely focused on Jason, Hobekistu then asked, "Would your name happen to be Jason Shaver?"

  9. While looking up at the stars, Light sits on the roof of HQ at the edge. His long silverwhite hair flowed from a slight breeze on the rooftop. He looks at his watch and notices it's almost one o' clock. He sigh out of boredom. He then stands up and starts to walk back inside only stoping at the door. He looks up at the sky once more and thinks to himself, I wonder if we'll get any excitement here. He then turns and goes inside and hears a loud crash. "What on earth was that?" Light said. He then turns around and goes looking over the edge and see Jason speaking with two unusual people.

Light was curious about these strangers so he decide to jump off the edge to get a closer look. When he was closer to the ground, he used his wings to slow his descent down and finally touches the ground. He starts to walk towards Jason and the strangers. "Hi there!" Light spoke to the strangers. He offered his hand to them, hoping that they were friendly "Nice headband."

  10. Jason raised an eyebrow at the strangers and opened his mouth to reply, but was interrupted by Light's sudden entrance. He looked at the man for a minute, then rolled his eyes, ignored him, and turned towards the two humans. "Excuse me, but you two are trespassing. You're lucky all I did was sneak up on you." His tone was irritated, maybe even cross, but then he shrugged. "As for your question, yes, my name is Jason Shaver. Why?"

Mimring suddenly landed beside Jason, shuffling his armored wings and giving the newcomers a somewhat curious look with his darkly verdant eyes. "Did you say 'master Maxima'? Would you happen to be referring to the Golden Firedrake, Draco Maxima?" He asked, tilting his crested head as he said the name. "We've had our dealings with him, and the two of us saw him take off just now."

(I plan to edit in Starlight's intro, but I've forgotten his hex color and can't check now. Will edit it in later.)

  11. As Eebit descended the final few stairs, he noticed a flash of multicoloured light filtering through the windows of the main hall. The spectrum of colour caught his eye, and he made his way to the window to see just what was the source of such a magnificent display… though unfortunately, by the time he got to his destination, the source had vanished. Damnit. Too late. he thought to himself, slightly dismayed… though as he looked, he could see a gathering of four figures in the clearing, grouped together, along with a dragon, and another silhouette further in the distance. He could surmise that two of the figures were Kuda and Mimring, seeing as the two were practically inseparable.

The second humanoid seemed to have wings of some sort, but Eebit could not determine who it was, and had similar difficulty determining the other two figures. He decided to forsake his first meal of the day in favour of meeting this group. He walked out the great doors of the Cult Headquarters, and went over to meet these new people… just in time to catch the tail-end of an irritated Kuda’s statement. “…trespassing. You're lucky all I did was sneak up on you.” Eebit smirked. It was typical of the Cult’s leader to be apprehensive of any and all newcomers.

Excuse him, newcomers. He doesn’t really get out much; it’s rare for us to get any sort of interaction with new people.” the Alchemist stated with a grin, and a joking nudge at the young leader of the Cult, “Don’t suppose you’ll have me on a first-name basis like you do our fine leader. I’m Eebit. What brings you here?

  12. Hobekistu prepared to answer Jason, but stopped as he saw Light, Mimring, and Eebit approach the three of them. He and Kenchoi cautiously glanced at the three of them, waiting for each of them to finish speaking before taking the opportunity.

"Well, to answer your questions, the two of us are actually students of Draco Maxima," Hobekistu spoke. "My name's Hobekistu Taih. My friend here is Kenchoi Maui. You're probably familiar with another student of his, Quasma Eleko." Hobekistu stopped talking, and gave Kenchoi a glance as an indication for him to start talking.
"See, the two of us just moved into Ustream a few weeks ago, and Draco Maxima wanted us to be familiar with everyone here. He briefly described a majority of the people in the area, including you, Jason." Kenchoi then looked a both Mimring and Eebit. "He also mentioned you two." Kenchoi then turned towards Light. "... You, however, he didn't mention..."

Hobekistu then prepared to say something else, but then stopped as he heard the sound of groaning coming towards the group. He stared in the direction of the sound as it gradually got louder until he saw the charred, badly damaged OKAYman crawling towards the group.
Hobekistu and Kenchoi both sighed and unisonously inquired, "Does he come here often?"

  13. Jason looked at OKAYman. "He does, but most of us just ignore him," He replied truthfully. "He thinks himself to be some sort of superhero- you can see how well that's going for him- and our ally, but if truth be told..." He shrugged, then changed the subject. "So. You're new in Ustream? Unless you're already... er... familiar with the wildlife here, I suggest you two watch out for yourselves. Most of the animals here are predators, and the prey aren't exactly helpless either." He looked the two over again. They didn't look like much, but Jason of all people knew appearances could be deceiving. Besides, if they were students of Draco Maxima, they would already have been taught how to defend themselves... probably. If not, they probably wouldn't last. Jason considered himself a skilled hunter, and the earlier display of the deer suggested that predators would choose to go after easier targets... like a pair of unaware humans.

Morbid thoughts, Mimring thought back to him, "sounding" amused. The dragon was looking at him, and to most the reptilian expression would have been hard to read, but Jason had spent more than enough time around dragons to know what the gleam in Mimring's emerald eyes meant. Jason grinned slightly as Mimring turned to address Hobekistu and Kenchoi himself. "This one- the one you were not told of- is another member of the Cult, named Light. Nothing really noteworthy about him." He glanced at Light briefly, the gleam still in his eyes to let the man know he was joking. "And excuse my master's words-" - Jason shot him an irritated look- "- he doesn't have an incredibly high expectation for humans. There are predators, yes, but as long as you stick near headquarters you should be safe. The only dragons that come here on a regular basis are allies of ours-"

    A winged shape flew overhead.

    "... and him."

The dazzlingly brilliant silver dragon circled a few times, then landed a good distance away. Mimring looked at him, a low growl rumbling in his chest and his eyes narrowed in dislike. The silver- who looked very much like Mimring himself, only thinner, as if he didn't eat much- looked around with impassive but analytical vermilion eyes. He scanned the area as if to check things out, his red eyes resting briefly on the newcomers before locking onto the copper-gold that regarded him with such a seemingly seething hatred. Red eyes met green, and the former sparked with such overconfidence and aggression that Jason was sure the dragon would attack- but no, Starlight wasn't a fool. He wouldn't start something with so many around. Instead, he gave a short, hissing laugh and walked off somewhere behind HQ. Mimring growled again, but it was short, and the red-green fans on his head folded up again.
