The Ancient War

  1. Ahh, the evening's were always so nice, especially on a full moon. Just a few gray clouds, highlighted in silver as they cross the sky beneath the moons soft glowing light. It truly was beautiful. A small young woman, looking about the age of 17 or so, was sitting in a well known park that was relatively empty, save for a few people passing by, some walking a dog or people just trying to get somewhere. She sat at the base of a large fountain, surrounded in a large circular pool. Her small dainty feet dangled in the cool water, the bottom of her dress damp from when she walked to the base. She was leaning up against the statue of Aphrodite, pouring water out of a water pitcher into the pool, relaxing as she watched the moon soar up higher into the star-lit sky. The young woman, who's name was Raven, had long white/blonde hair that cascaded over delicate shoulders to her waist in soft waves, soft, ash grey eyes peering from behind long side-swept bangs that framed her heart shaped face. High cheek bones highlighted her eyes, and kept her full pink lips in a pout, until she graced someone with a smile that almost always reached her eyes and made them sparkle. She was quite short, standing at only 5'2, and was very slim, but also very voluptuous as well. Her skin was flawless, almost like a porcelain doll, but not quite so pale. She wore a white dress that clung to her form, and flowed gracefully around her suave and elegant legs (when it wasn't damp, anyway..), with a thin, silver waist belt. Raven looked as innocent as a child, but she was far from it. She was mischievous, and loved to create trouble. She was also a Siren. Though she looked very young, she was actually quite old, but the life energy that she stole from the pitiful humans that surrounded her, kept her youthful all these years. She was actually around the age of 312. She'd been around long enough to know that humans were very naive creatures, and didn't really like succumbing to the idea that something like her existed. Or the fact that any other creature besides a human existed, such as a Vampire. It almost made her sad, but at the same time, it made her chuckle, because she was a free spirit, and was free to do what she pleased, because she knew that she could, and get away with it. She was a smart cookie, that one....
