Team Idiots Go!

Discussion in 'Miscellaneous Conjectures' started by Lord X-Giga-X, Apr 17, 2013.

  1. So Teen Titans Go! is airing on Cartoon Network next week, and from what little I've seen of it, I can just say is...

I hate what they've done. First of all, look at them in the original show...

Aw yeah, I love these guys...
Now look at them in the new show...

Can I... can I ask wtf happened to everyone?

Next, the show apparently focuses on what they're doing when they're not fighting crime, saving the world, etc.
Yeah, I think the original series gave us a good summary of that in a total of like 7 hours (rough estimate of them off duty from every episode). An entire series based off of that, though.... Just what is even the point of that? Like we got these 5 awesome heroes, and instead of watching them beat the shit out of villians, we get what is essentially a comedy surrounding their daily lives? DC, why are you doing this? This is Teen Titans, not Codename Kids Next Door! (Don't get me wrong, though. KND is an awesome show!)

The only good thing I see in this show so far is that the five of them are voiced by their original actors, but... yeah...

  2. I haven't seen TTG as I rarely watch TV anymore, but it looks like they're trying to appeal to small children now, just going by the art style.

  3. ... Okay, let's see...

    Raven's apparently a brony.
Starfire somehow makes less sense than possible.
We got to watch Robin waste time at the supermarket, and discovered Cyborg and Beast Boy's love of pie.
The team seems to have forgotten that Mother Mae Eye is evil for most of an episode.
Robin, Raven and Starfire nearly got turned into pies while Cyborg and Beast Boy had a pie fight over the latter having to work during the former's birthday party.

WHAT THE FUCK DID I JUST WATCH?!

  4. ^ ...Yep. Definitely aimed at the smaller kids, and not the pre-teen to late teens crowd anymore. You know what? That's fine by me. I get it to a point, I do. We had our fun with the Teen Titans on the original series, and now the new generation gets a go at it. Now I don't necessarily understand why they specifically need to have a go at Teen Titans for the first time with something that is undeniably unheroic by nearly every point but, you know, whatever strokes those blokes, but I get the appealing to a younger crowd. It's all business, and that's okay.

With that being said, Beast Boy looks incredibly redonkulous now. Like what.
