Of Flowing Blood and Piercing Bones

Under the cold grey moon.​

Under the gold stars.​

Under the dark black clouds.​

Under the clear needle rain.​

A long stone wall, lit by the burning of torches in the night. An odd green flame flickering despite the downpour cast over the land. Within it, a fortress made of a slick black stone- a texture like glass but a strength and sound like metal. The fortress, Magnhildr, rising from the ground in the center of the walls interior. Around Magnhildr a duchy- a bustling town, now laying hush beneath the moon.​

The woman took a deep breath.​

This- the fortress, the town, the wall- was Menodora.​

See stood on the roof of a tower of Magnhildr, lit by the strange green torches as well. She moved her hand by the fire- the flame dancing and bending to the will of the energy inside her- as she thought of her return to Menodora.​

One of the many great fortress settlements of the kingdom known as Alcaeus. A prosperous and vast society ruled by the King and Queen, Vino and Orium. She had spent her younger years here- in Menodora... she had seen the deaths of the former Duke and Duchess and the passing of the title to the current reigning Duchess- Menolia.​

On her 10th birthday, she was sent with others sharing her energy to various cities- to her luck she was sent to the capital city of Alcaeus, Erebus. There she learned to harness her power.​

A power only found in those with the blood of either Deit or Lind, the twin daughters of the first Monarchs of Alcaeus.​

Deit- the princess of that which flows through the body.​

Lind- the princess of that which supports the body.​

The first to posses the powers of Alcaeus.​

A war was brewing. They didn't know who was starting it, but various armies were attacking the borders of there allies. They would not let this stand.​

For there were Alcaeus-​

The Land of Flowing Blood and Piercing Bones.​

So yes. Basically some of Alcaeus' people are born with the power to A- control blood or B- control bones.​

For bones I mean they can shoot them out of there body and use them as swords and whatnot. The bones grow back instantly though.​

Basically your called back by the Duchess Menolia from the whichever place in Alcaeus you were sent to study to prepare for war.​

So far there are only border skirmishes, so Menodora's people are just gathering there strength and things.​

Being part of the Court! You, like most Blood Born/ Bone Births are a noble. Interact with other nobles and have a bit of inner-Menodora diplomacy!​

There won't be chara. sheets and you can decide between being a Blood Born, Bone Birth, or just a regular person.​

Menodora- The duchy where you grew up until you were 10.​

Magnhildr- The fortress in Menodora.​

Vino- Current Queen of your kingdom.​

Orium- Vino's husband.​

(explained in text but-) Deit (Deet) and Lind- The first Princesses, Deit is the first with Blood power, Lind is the same for Bones.​

Alcaeus- The kingdom.​

Erebus- The capital of Alcaeus, where I was sent to study when I turned 10.​

Menolia- Current Duchess of Menodora.​

???- If you are a Blood Born/Bone Birth, you can create a city where you were sent when you turned 10 to train. You are allowed to agree to share a city with someone. Non-powered soldiers were trained in Menodora.​

 

Well generally, only your own. But very (and I mean VERY) skilled users can also affect others. But that kind of power is basically only found in royalty or high level generals and the like.

The main RP thread should be up a couple minutes after this- The first post will be your return to Menodora(powers) OR you being called to Magnhildr for a summit(no powers).

If you have powers:
- You haven't seen the place since you were 10 (but the years that have passed are up to you)
- You will have to at least give a small desc. on where you were sent, as mentioned earlier you can agree to share a place with someone.
- Mention whether you are a Blood Born or Bone Birth somehow.
- Try to reveal how you feel about the non-powered side of Alcaeus society.

If you have no powers:
- Mention what kind of weaponry you usually use.
- Duchess Menolia doesn't call people to the Fortress/Castle for no reason, react accordingly depending on your character.
- Try to reveal how you feel about the powered side of Alcaeus society.
