Nightfall

Discussion in 'Freeform Roleplays' started by CodasterTheDisaster, May 4, 2013.

  1. Ampheres woke up the following morning very grogy and with a massive headache. He groaned slightly as he sat up and leaned over to cup his throbbing head with both hands. His head continued to pound as he opened his eyes and realized that he wasn't clothed at all. A look of confusion came upon Ampheres' face as he remembered who he was with last night and he turned to see who was laying by his side. "Oh shit. . ." was all that escaped his mouth as he saw the unclothed form of Anon sleeping beside him. Last night was too blurry for him to remember exactly what had happened but it wasn't exactly very hard to guess what event had occurred. The nude fisherman quickly stood up--an act he quickly regretted as a wave of nausea rushed over him--and began to look for his clothes without puking up the contents of his stomach.

All he managed to find of his clothing were his shorts and his shoes. The bandages that had covered his wounds last night were torn on the back that, along with the stinging and dried blood on his neck, indicated new scratches from his night of debauchery. "I wish I could remember what happened last night." he mumbled to himself as he thought of what to do next. He decided to use the section of blanket he had slept on to cover the sleeping form of Anon. Hopefully that would keep her from being too startled when she woke up. It would be awkward to speak to her when she woke up, especially when she likely couldn't remember the events of either. "Well this sure is a balls up."

  2. It took a few minutes for her to wake up, and when she did, she groaned at her throbbing head. It took her a few minutes to open her eyes and get used to the light that practically blinded her. She felt sick and desperately wanted some form of painkiller. Or more to drink. She wasn't sure which would work better. She sat up, groggy and oblivious to the fact her body was not covered until she felt the breeze and shivered while looking over to see Ampy. Ampy could finally get a good look at the tattoo on her waist. JLC. "Shit... shit, shit, shit, motherfucking alcohol..." With a flick of her wrist, she wrapped a shadow around Ampy's eyes as a temporary blindfold he couldn't take off while she scrambled for her clothes.

She was swearing up and down, eventually switching to curses in something that sounded like French. She wasn't happy, Ampy could tell that. How the hell did her underwear end up in the water? Whatever it was, she didn't remember it. She shoved the wet undergarment into her pocket and pulled on pants. Underwear was a lower priority. She ended up finding her jacket and bra, covering herself before removing the shadow from Ampy's eyes. "What the hell happened last night?! What the fuck did we do?!" she demanded loudly of him, looking furious and distressed. There was something else there, though. Something he couldn't understand. He could see she was especially tugging her clothes over that tattoo, trying to hide it. She was angry, and she was hiding something.

It was while she was glaring at Ampy that she noticed the demon corpses that littered the landscape of the lake. "What the FUCK?! What the hell is all this?! How did we miss this?! Or did we do this?! I can't remember anything, and FUCK." She went back to swearing in French, looking around to see if there was evidence of anyone of their companions being around or having done this. Someone was responsible, and she wasn't sure if it was them or someone else. These demons seemed a little different though. Like there was something off she didn't quite place, something about it she didn't recognize. Whatever it was, there were significantly less of them now.

  3. Corsa shrugged. "We probably should. I think it would be better if we got there before some more demons do. I'll go let my sis and wolfy know." He ruffled Hasta's hair and reentered the building. The fact that Epsil was so angry, yet went out of his way to slaughter anything that came near us during the night proves his dedication to keep us alive...Whatever he is, he's either really good at deception or the best friend and ally we'll ever have.

Cana looked up at her brother, hearing his footsteps coming from the stairs. "Hey bro. What's up?" she asked quietly. He shrugged. "Nothing really. I think we're going to get Anon, Ampheres, and Epsil. Want to come with?" he replied. Cana nodded. "Sure. How about you, wolfy?" she questioned, looking at Cal curiously. She was still wary of him, but since she was still breathing and untouched after spending a night in the same room with him, she didn't classify him as an immediate threat.

  4. As Cana spoke, Cal looked over at her with his radiant silver eyes. Despite not having slept the past night, the anthromorph was not fatigued. It came with being an ancient vampire, as well as eating a plethora of demon souls the previous day – but now that Cal thought about it – he never got tired. He heard Anon swearing outside as well as the aforementioned question from Corsa and Cana. Standing up slowly and setting his shotgun into his left paw, he nodded, but kept an upraised brow. ”Go and 'get them?'” he questioned, ”There just outside – we don't really need to 'go and get them.' I think what you mean to say is: 'We should meet up with them to find out what the fuck happened last night'”

Cal didn't know what it was, but it probably had to do with being punched in the face or the lack of alcohol – or more likely was the hunger he felt inside him, despite having a large meal the day before - but he was on edge, and he wanted even less to do with the strange masked duo, and he made sure it showed in his words. ”Alrighty then, let's go meet up with Epsil and figure out what all the commotion was, and see if I can't find some breakfast... if you know what I mean.”

With that, the black wolf trudged outside, placing the shotgun on his back and dusting off his Punisher shirt, while his tailed swished side to side as he cleared his throat from dryness and possibly incoming decay.

  5. When Anon woke up and sat up Ampheres noticed a tattoo on her bare waist; however, he didn't get more than a brief glimpse before a shadow was wrapped around his eyes. While he was blindfolded he just sat there patiently and listened to Anon curse--he could tell by the tone--in what could only be another language. He could also tell from the sound that she was getting dressed. As soon as the shadow came off his eyes he was assaulted with questions from an obviously distraught Anon. He was about to answer her when she screamed about the demon corpses that littered the landscape.

Ampheres had to stand up before he could see the corpses, or at least what was left of them, that lay scattered all around the lake. He hadn't noticed them before because of the cars that were on both sides of the drunkards. "I know just about as much as you do Anon, but I don't think it's hard to guess exactly what happened last night." He rubbed the scratches on his neck before continuing to speak. "The demons weren't us because we're not covered in blood and gore. Well, you're not covered in blood, but I am thanks to you. You scratch pretty hard. I just know for sure that from now on I'm only drinking alone." He cracked a smile to try and lighten the mood despite how serious the situation could become.

His trident had been knocked underneath the car to his left so he squatted down and picked it up, however that caused some of the scabs on his back to crack open and start to bleed again. "Walk with me? I want to go and find some new clothes and bandages. Besides that we really need to talk more about last night and you know this area more than I do."

  6. She flushed a little at what he had said, and glared at his joke. "Not funny. Not funny at all." she snapped, looking around at the demons. "These are weird demons. Not the same ones we usually fight, the lessers and greaters. These feel off. But let's go back to the building and find out who's covered in gore." Because clearly someone was given the carnage that took place here. And whoever it was had been determined to leave them alone. Not that she could blame them, that would have been weird. They had gotten weird enough to scratch him, as she could see as they walked along to the building.

Despite his request to talk more about last night, she walked in silence towards her base, and glared at him at the entrance. "You say nothing to them if they're still here. Say anything and you will be on a one way train to be fed to a greater. I mean it. We will talk about that part alone later. For now, we focus on the demons and you keep your balls in check unlike how you did last night." She clearly was pissed at him, and wouldn't go in without his agreement.

  7. "Yes, I give you my word to say nothing to them." Ampheres told the girl. "But you also need to promise not to run away from this and actually talk to me later." With his spill finished, he opened the door of a side entrance to the building and motioned for Anon to go in first. With both of them inside he yelled to find the rest of the group. "Hello! Is anyone home?!"

He didn't hear any response from with the building, probably because he hadn't yelled loudly enough--but he didn't know that--and began to walk towards the room Anon kept all of her medicine and bandages. The bandages were fairly simple to remove and replace, but he also had to take a few band-aids and put them on the scratches on his neck. After he had fixed himself up he decided to talk to Anon about clothes. "So, uhm, do you any clothes I could wear around here? And a new bag? I seem to have misplaced my bag during the battle yesterday and I really need one now. If you could just point me to a store that would be fine too if you don't want to share anything you have here."

  8. Hasta looked slightly irritated when Corsa mess with his hair, but he didn't say anything. He followed the older boy back into the building, stuffing his bloody shirt into his back pocket. He stood there silently as the other three conversed. "Here they come," he said quietly, shortly before Ampheres' voice rang through the building. Epsil was still somewhere else, though, and the walls made it difficult for Hasta to hear him. He remained silent for a while, before letting out an annoyed sigh. He scratched the back of his head, causing lice to fall out and onto his jacket, and looked up at his allies. "I'm hungry. Is there anything to eat?" he whined.
