Never Thought They Could Do It

Kotetsu, folks. This has gotta be this anime's dumbest character yet, especially with every other dumb character the show has.

I'd really like to steal this guy's TV remote and see what else is on.

  2. He looks like Aang (from Last Airbender) dressed up as the DPPt(?) Ninja trainer sprite.

  3. Which animé IS it? Pokémon? And why is he named 'armour'

  4. The style looks like Pokémon to me, so I'd assume so. Frankly, I stopped watching the anime regularly after the Orange Islands, and stopped altogether after sporadically seeing some of the... well, subpar Ruby/Sapphire episodes. Can't imagine why anyone sees any value in it nowadays.

  5. The best episodes were from Kanto and, despite the gargantuan amount of filler, Johto. Orange Isles were okay, RSE was worse than subpar and DPPt was little more than a filler region animéwise.

However - and I'm going to state a very unpopular opinion now - the Unova set is very good; almost ad good as Johto/Kanto, if I may say so. Thing is I don't like how much TRio is blasting off now (nil being the value) and I don't like how Gary Stuish Ash still is but a) I'm glad they changed Brock, because much as I like him, it was getting too creepy to find that he was always following Ash around; b. Cilan's screaming like a little girl in the Litwick mansion, which is self explanatory; c) Ash actually catching more than 6 Pokémon again; and d) Some of the teasers, like the Primeape in the Season 2 opening. Stuff like this. Still not 'animé' animé, but good nonetheless.

More happened in Sinnoh than in any other series. Sure, there was a crapload of filler (like Johto), but they did something they completely forgot to do beforehand: character development. Instead of every single episode being a bland CotD-based thing, they started making actual interesting characters who did crap. Think of the whole supporting Sinnoh cast: the likes of Paul, Barry, Zoey, Nando, Kenny, Conway etc.. These characters actually had a point to them, and I was always interested to see what would happen each time they turned up.

On top of that, look at what they did with Ash & Dawn. They actually learned stuff over the course of the series, and the way they had them both learn skills off of each other was interesting. Hell, the only useless character in DP was Brock.

Jason Griffith's take on Cilan is FANTABULOUS.
