  1. gang gang

  2. There's like 31 drawings on here that you guys haven't even seen so yes I will just update with my art Instagram so you can peruse or whatever if you feel like it
    @lunch.special

  3. I was going to post a comment (or a couple) on your Insta but I wasn't sure if it'd be weird to do so. Social media etiquette eludes me.

    - The "radical" hands; totally radical. I'm all about that.
    - I am actually all about your pseudo-realistic style. I saw that you'd captioned it with a "yike" but I thought it was really neat and would love to see more done in that style!

  4. o thanks, both of them were just pictures of me :^)
go wild on Insta if you wish, I don't get the etiquette either

The original pencil drawing and the drawings of Penthesilea and Penelope can be found right here in this specific @lunch.special post.

EDIT: I actually forgot to change the color of the line-art into the SelOut color for the arms and shoulders yikes yikes, fixed it in the file but too lazy to actually do an entire re-upload. Just know that it's been dealt with...!

EDIT-EDIT: Also L.O.L the transformation from three years ago

EDIT-EDIT-EDIT: Also I can't remove the poll from when I was 12 please help, I'm suffering. (Also I went back and fiddled with some posts, only on the first page I think? So there's that.)

  6. Removed the poll for you. Did you not have the option to Edit Poll? Maybe we have that set to be mod-exclusive.

I was going to comment on your Instagram that you should post it here! It looks really good -- maybe a bit jagged in places but overall the digitalization looks quite nice. I'm glad that we can see the pixels in all of their glory rather than the artifact-infused mess that Instagram turned it into. Good stuff, for sure.

If you don't mind, I might take a stab at cleaning it up even further for practice sake. I haven't done anything pixel art-related in a few years now but I think it'd be a fun challenge.

  7. !!!!
Didn't even notice this part somehow, gosh. Kind of late but please feel free to go ahead!

    ---------------

So I was listening to "Daydream / Wetdream / Nightmare" by Saint Motel, which is why the words are... well, what they are, I guess. I made a few versions of the digital draw-over since I couldn't decide which way was better.

    - mechanical pencil
    - Staples Comfort Stic 1.0 black pen (this cost me my lungs)
    - Crayola Red Orange and Crayola Red color pencils (these cost me my eyes)

sURPRISE!!!! black text vs white text.
    - v1: outlines in greyscale (mad because I searched this up to make sure i was using it right and all i got was Game of Thrones wtf) as they were when I originally went over the drawing to establish different sections
    - v2: outlines in white
    - v3: outlines in black (looks a little cartoony)
    - v4: outlines removed (look a lot like v3 due to ZEJ background tbh but i promise that they look different when the bg isn't so close to the image's grey)

  8. Ghostbusters was fun and hip and cool and you should watch it and also here's a sprite-over because why not

fun trivia: light hair makes me suffer, like dark hair ends up having less variation so it's easy you just do some quick stuff with maybe 2-3 shades and done buT WHEN YOU SPRITE OVER LIGHT HAIR THERE'S LIKE 85 SHADES RANGING FROM BROWN TO BLONDE AND IT'S HELL

  9. I love my sad little ghost napkin Pokemon so here's a sprite-over.

  10. Remember this splicing? I decided to draw my Dark Mage self again! Except this time through drawing and not through splicing Fire Emblem sprites. Other than style, the only noticeable difference should be that my hair is closer to my real hair. All colors (except the medium shade on the hair!) were picked from the original splice. The shading was also based on that of the splice, since I'm shit at shading.

The only progress images I saved: (I recommend opening the images in a new tab to see them clearly)

  11. Welcome to my thread, we have blushes and facial expressions.

I was bored so I just edited the mouth a few times on the Dark Mage portrait and... not much else.

  12. Hey, remember that old drawing???? You guys seemed to particularly like it (for whatever reason). Anyways, I was bored, so I went over it in Pixen in a few different color schemes so let's go ahead and toss those up!

[Palettes: "True" > "True" simplified > pen + paper (color picker) > gameboy]

  13. Yo, Gold! I don't know why it's taken me so long to jump back into this thread and see what my fellow member of the whale association has been up to with her art, recently. Forgive me - for the Jonno had lost his way. With that said, man, I'm loving all of this. You have a really individualistic style with your art, and I love how you shaded those blushes and facial expressions recently, too, and I LOVE the last adaptation of your previous sketch into Pixen. It drives your unique style home, and your choice of color is *thumbs up emoji times 3*.

  14. Oh, hey it's 2/14, an otherwise completely non-relevant or exciting day—

Is that... from the Tomb Raider wiki? On the Lara Croft page?????
Well, guess we have to celebrate.
