So what do you get when I start playing Minecraft and decide to make a text-based LP of my journey through it? L2XG's Misadventures Through MehLand! Why is it called MehLand? Because.... well.... I don't really know...

Oooooooooookay, so get this. I intended to start this text-LP relatively in the middle. But due to a major fuck up on my part, that's no longer the case. Long story short, looking up info on DS capture devices, sudden Trojan swarm, panic-copying stuff onto a flash drive before deleting comp account and creating a new one. It was after all this that I forgot to copy the save I was using this entire time. So now, I have to start all over.

... Yeah, this is going to be a great LP if I'm already having this many problems. From beginning to end. An LP fueled by self rage... Oh Hollow, why?

Well, hopefully I can spawn relatively close to a taiga biome, right? Right?

Behold, the magical, logic-defying floating block of water.

Imagine you had:
Two shelters (for some odd reason) built in a taiga biome directly on top of a stronghold, and an easy path down into it,
several chests containing main objects, some of which were a pain to obtain,
an extremely long track connecting one of these two shelters to a village several kilometers to the south which took you maybe an entire Minecraft month to get close to completion,
and a Nether Portal putting you in a horrible location in the Nether, and you end up back in the overworld over an ocean several meters to the south of your shelters.

Imagine you had all of this, and due to Nate's evil Trojan swarm, you forget to copy your world onto a flashdrive and end up having to start over....

You get L2XG's Misadventures Through MehLand. This is gonna be... painful...

So, to start off, I am nowhere near a Taiga. Instead, I got spawned in this...

What is this even? Agh, whatever. Anyway, as you can tell, I start off my new journey with some cacti and 3 blocks of wool... Yay, I got half of a bed... At least theres some trees in that swamp up ahead... Let's get moving.
So... yeah... I'm guessing for now, step one of my new journey is- wtf...

Why is this sugar cane just on this singular block of sand in the middle of the water?! WITIDE
.... Eh, whatever. I'll just take it... And the sand too, I guess...

Anyway yeah, for now, step one of my journey's just collecting as much wood for supplies and stuff. And given the amount of trees here, I shouldn't have much of a problem with that. Might as well start tearing them down... WITH MY FISTS!!!!

ACHIEVEMENT GET #1! Well technically number two. Didn't want to bore you guys with the inventory one. Anyway, just gonna be tearing these trees apart, and... yeah...

k, so about 5 minutes later. Decided to stop at 27 wood... Don't know why I stopped there of all places, but whatever. Anyway, as you can see it's night, that time when mobs would usually spawn... Yeah, for the most part, I've having the game set to peaceful. Why? Because I am in no mood to be dealing with mobs right now!
Also, as you can see, I got a couple of apples... and some sapplings... Don't really intend on using these, so.... yeah.... they can rot in my inventory for all I care.
Anyway, decent amount of wood, so... Let's turn these into something I can actually use!

WOODEN PLANKS!
... Geez, 108 Wooden Planks out of that... Gonna have to use them for making stuff, like...

This Crafting Table. And ACHIEVEMENT GET #3!!
Alright then, so before I go and make my supplies, I'm gonna take a look around, and try to decide where the fuck I'm gonna go from here... Let's see....

We got this swamp continuing this way....

....that desert back that way...

... and this huge mountain this way...... Hmm.... Definitely not walking through a desert again, so that leaves me with the swamp and the mountain.... Let's flip a coin. Heads, the swamp, tails, the mountain.
*flips coin*
.... Mountain it is! So I'm gonna go ahead and make some tools and stuff, and... yeah....

Basically, what I did first was turn 40 of these wooden planks into 80 sticks. Why 80? Because.... well.... idk.... Really, who the fuck needs 80 sticks at the point I'm at?! Anyway, made some tools and stuff: pickaxe, shovel, sword, axe, and a hoe. Got myself three more achievements in the process, so... yeah.... And... I think that's the end of tha- Actually, no!

Decided to make myself a bed and a couple of treasure chests. Might as well get it out of the way now.

OKAY, now that that's done, time for adventure! Let's get to that mountain and climb over it-

Actually, ONE more thing before we go over to that mountain...

DIE PIGGEH!!! MWAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!!!!!
Okay, NOW we can get moving.

GEEZ, that is one big mountain... It'll probably take a while to climb over it... And there's some coal over there...

And that random floating island... I gotta check it out before I go beyond this point....

You know what, I'm... gonna stop it here... So, next time, I'm gonna be exploring this mountain., maybe checking out what lurks within it, and possibly exploring the land beyond it. Until then... *vanishes in a black mist*

You want a campfire in Minecraft? Just get a flint and steel and set a tree on fire. And as a bonus, try to get a useless mob in there somewhere.

Alright, time for part 2 of L2XG's Misadventures Through Mehland! Today, we're gonna be exploring this mountain. Why? Because of a coin toss that occured in part 1. So yeah, got my tools and stuff. Let's not waste anytime.

I really hope they fix this lighting glitch soon... Of course, I can't really count on them to fix it in 1.3, but... yeah...
So yeah, 1.3's coming August 1st... Really looking foward to most of the things it'll give us. Things like trading with villages, temples, and Ender Chests. Hell yeah, Ender Chests! Those are gonna be so useful when I find a stronghold.... Man, I can't believe how lucky I was to find that stronghold underneath my shelter in the first MehLand... I'm not gonna be that lucky, unfortunately... fuck....

Oh hey, a waterfall. Let's see how high I can go with this...

... Apparently not high enough... Eh, whatever, let's try to get up to the top...

Alright, so about 2-3 minutes later, got to the top of this thing to get a closer look at this floating island... And there's a pool of lava in the desert... Why do I keep finding lava in deserts?
Anyway, I don't think I'll be able to get to that floating island anytime soon, what with my limited material, so I think I'll work on getting there once I have enough cobblestone... So... yeah...

Geez, this place is insane...

... AntVenom, when are you going to actually upload your cow-killing montage? And I wonder how many people are gonna get that... Oh well, looks like a good place to start mining...

k, for whatever reason, I stopped at 5 cobblestone... Why that number, idk. But whatever, because the point is that I have enough to make myself a...

STONE PICKAXE!! And ACHIEVEMENT GET!! Haha!! Alright, let's get to work on getting more cobblestone.

We struck coal!

k, decided to stop mining cobblestone for a bit because I noticed this gravel here... Not that I really need it, though I'm gonna need a flint eventually, so I figured "Eh, why not just try to get it out of the way now?"

Aaaaaaaand we got flint! k, let's keep digging up this useless gravel.
Actually, wtf am I doing? I know a more easier way to do this. First, I'm gonna make myself a torch.

Alright... Now I just put this here...

And BOOM! Gravel without the effort of digging. (Yeah, sorry for the crappy screenshot showing this off, but most of you guys should understand how this works anyway, so... yeah... For those who don't, basically, you just quickly stick a torch underneath a pile of blocks affected by gravity, and insta-mine!)
And it's night... Hmm... Let's see how much cobblestone I have right now...

33... Decent number.... BUT I SAY THAT'S NOT ENOUGH!! LET'S GET MORE COBBLESTONE!!!

Alright, so I stopped after my stone pickaxe broke ( D: ), and noticed that I have 114 cobblestone. Good number, so I say let's work on getting to that floating island!

Ooh, a path to the underground... Maybe worth exploring... But let's not worry about it right now.

And making a path to the island... But I must be very careful... Even the slightest mistake could result in me falling to my death... I mean really, just look. The fall itself would most likely kill me, because that's like what, 20-something worth of fall damage there? That's pretty much a bottle of insta-death right there. I don't want my first death of this LP to come from falling. That'd be pretty stupid.

Minecraft in third-person... ooooooooooooooh.... Also, I think I went a bit too far over to the... right...?

Whoa, had /just/ enough cobbletstone in that one stack to be able to make a path over to this island... Agh.... Anyway, goal accomplished. I'm just gonna do some basic settling and... yeah...

Alright, that's pretty basic for now... Will obviously change stuff once I start actually building a shelter, but... yeah... I guess there's a couple of last things I can do before I call it a part...

First off, made a furnace. Also, ACHIEVEMENT GET!!!

And last but not least, made myself a complete set of stone tools and weapons. Stone pickaxe, stone sword, stone axe, stone shovel, and stone hoe. Odds are I'll really only be using 4 of these for now, but... eh... Like really, I'll likely only be using 4 of these unless I can make a good farming area nearby...

Placed the furnace here. And let's get one last view of the island...

Yeah, this is great... Alright, let's stop it here. Next time, we're going to that cave place I found a while back and see what happens in there. Maybe I'll find some cool stuff. Maybe I'll get lost...
Or maybe I'll find /another/ abandoned mineshaft, because... yeah... I seem to be able to find a lot of those... Find out next time! Until then... *vanishes in a black mist*

That's better... Anyway, part 3 of L2XG's Midadventures Through MehLand! Sorry about the wait folks. Had to make preparations for an RP that recently started. Raised to Win. Featuring Pokemon and trainers dying- Wait, what the hell am I doing? I'm not supposed to be promoting an RP here! I'm playing Minecraft for fucks sake! Let's get to that cave place I found last time.

... Wait... where was it again?

Aha! There it is. Good thing I put that torch there when I found it.... Although, I should more torches near it.

Yeah... That should do it...

Alright then, it's time to go deeper! ... Although, we won't be getting an achievement for that for a while....

Alright, so about a minute into this place, I found some iron ore! Alright! Let's mine this stuff up.

Got six from that vein, move a bit further and found more.
.... Only two... pathetic, but... eh...

... Wait a minute, that's the same way I came into this place! GODDAMNIT, I FOUND MY WAY OUT ALREADY!!!
Oh well, let's turn around and continue the other way.

... Dead end...

Aw yeah... That way was the right way.

So... yeah... As I wander through this place mining stuff up, I gotta wonder... For those who plan on getting Pokemon Black 2 and White 2 when they're released outside of Japan (which should be everyone), which game do you plan on getting? Or like, if you get both, which would you find playing the most? For me, I'd be getting both, but playing Black 2 more. It'd be pretty much how I did things with Black and White. I play Black more, and White's just... there... Probably might restart White 2 over and over because plot and stuff-

Why am I hearing lava?

.... That would definitely explain it. Okay, let's get back aboveground.
Yeah, I know. But I'd rather get this iron ore back to base. Besides, I haven't set my new spawn point either.... even though it wouldn't be that far from the original...

Oh hey, it's close to night time. I can probably make it back to my bed before sunrise and set my spawn point.

.... Oh wait, I fail. It /is/ sunrise.

Alright, made it back. Let's smelt this ore!

Aw yeah, look at that iron ore get smelted into

Iron ingots! Aw yeah, there's gonna be so much iron! I can't wait to shift click that stuff into my pockets! Know what? I'm just gonna do it anyway!

BOOM! And ACHIEVEMENT GET! Yeah, so awesome! Oh, but you know what I can do now?

I can make myself a Flint and Steel!

Yeah! One step closer to entering the Nether!

Aw yeah, look at all this iron! Yeah, time to do something...

Complete set of iron tools and stuff! Aw yeah!

So I had 28 iron ores right? Thus a total of 28 iron ingots were made. I used 1 to make the flint and steel, 3 for a pickaxe, 2 for a hoe, 1 for a shovel, 3 for an axe, and 2 for a sword. 1+1+3+3+2+2=12. 28-12=16. Yeah, that's about right.

And it's sunset... I can finally set my new spawn point. Yay!

... Oh right, it's not quite night...

Anyway, I... guess I'll end it here, and next time, I'll... figure out something to do... Because I have no idea what I'm gonna do. XD

Good morning everyone! Welcome to part 4 of L2XG's Misadventures Through MehLand! Today, we're gonna.... we're gonna....
.... I don't know. Huh.... Aw well, I guess I'll explore around a bit until I think of something to do.

.... I am really lucky I didn't get myself killed in that idiotic fall! This is a sign that I really should watch where I'm going.

Huh... Chicken... Well, I am gonna need food later.... Time to go mob killing!

Haha! That Chicken totally didn't see it coming! k, so I got raw chicken and a feather. I can make some arrows! ... Although, considering my lack of string, I can't make a bow yet.... But I'll at least have some temporarily useless arrows! YAY!
