ATLAS.​

A small chip implanted into your wrist.​

It essentially turned your mind into a computer- being able to type out information, capture auditory or visual data being received- all with a thought.​

It's true really, ATLAS did hold the burdens of the world.​

But then one day it all came crashing down.​

A virus somehow got into the main ATLAS server in an obscure and guarded government facility-​

And then the Glitches came.​

Doppelgangers of existing humans- they 'walked' the Earth.​

ATLAS kept record of all senses- and the virus somehow used this to create hallucinations, essentially.​

At first there were Slashers, people who would use a blade to destroy the ATLAS chip on their wrists.​

But ATLAS had a deep hold on the bodily systems, and slashing led to death.​

The security systems began to hunt down these Glitches, looking for malfunctions and odd behaviors in people to find them.​

But the virus had caused changes to everyone.​

Memory storage banks were corrupted- visions of the past appearing at any time.​

Innocent people could be hauled away to there deaths due to a simple mistake by a security program...​

It's been 125 years since then.​

Nothing has changed.​

Nothing can change.​

The ATLAS Server has become untouchable- an effect of the virus.​

To protect themselves from being killed by security, people began to inject themselves with QWERTY, a drug to put it plainly.​

QWERTY kept ATLAS' malfunctions in check (for the most part).​

As expected people began buying the injections like crazy- like drug addicts, which they basically became at that point.​

But malfunctions and memory corruption didn't stop.​

There was still always a chance it could happen.​

And you know-​

They say if you meet your Glitch...​

It swallows you whole.​

But that's just urban legend, right?​
