Pokémon X and Y

Discussion in 'Miscellaneous Conjectures' started by Lord X-Giga-X, Jan 8, 2013.

  1. To be fair to the GTS people, until December options are limited for fair trades. I actually put up a level 45 Pupitar asking for a Xerneas because I don't have anything better that isn't shiny or named "Yveltal" or "Zygarde".

Might toss up a shiny Gyarados if this doesn't work, though.

  2. So I decided to try Masuda'ing despite the fact that I should probably wait until I've gotten the Shiny Charm. What number am I at right now?

    I... don't know... I lost track sometime after I reached 30.

This is gonna be a mess.

EDIT: And in the middle of it, an acquaintance wanted to trade. And as a result of that, I now have a Rain Dish Blastoise.
    Yeeeeeeeeeeeeeeah...

EDIT (2): Managed to get another Adamant Super Luck Absol off of WT, making it my second one. But you know what's crazy?
One of them has 3 epic IVs, and the other has 5! I am dead serious!

Also, got another random Friend Safari following a battle I was completely unprepared for. Ghost-type. Gonna see what's in it.
Lampent, Pumpkaboo, and Dusclops. Not too bad.

  3. I am at 209 egg hatchlings right now. It can't get any worse than you, Blendy. This is almost sad.

  4. I believe Aki on Acanthite went through 300 or 400 eggs without getting a shiny. Meanwhile I think I'm nearing about 100 but considering I usually just fill up a box and stop until I can trade them all away, it's hard to tell.

Giga I'd be jealous of that Absol if it wasn't for the fact that Renegade has perfect IVs lol

Also I decided to EV train Zygarde. Bashful, full EVs in Atk and SpAtk, with Dragon Dance/Earthquake/physical Dragon move(idk what it learns)/Draco Meteor. How does that sound?

  5. Kuda, think about it for a minute. I'm sure you'd think of at least 1 physical Dragon-type move for it.

As for me, I think I'm sitting at 90-100. idk

  6. Well the thing is I'm not sure if it learns both Outrage and Dragon Rush or just one or neither.

  7. Almost immediate double post, but I can't get to IRC.

Someone accepted my GTS trade. The Xerneas is Naive. Giga, can you name yours Yggdrasil and swap with me? :>

  8. So like with my Infiltrator Spiritomb, I've decided to breed 8 Scrappy Pancham to pass along to anyone interested. May also be doing this with my Rufflet. Not really looking for anything in particular in return. Just go catch something from Route 2 or something.

EDIT: So I went back to playing Y to try to chain a shiny Skrelp/Dragalge. Ended up getting a shiny Qwilfish instead, but I'm not gonna give up anytime soon.

  9. ^Ooh, could I be on the receiving end of one of those Pancham please?

  10. I had just gotten through victory road when I was watching my friend play and saw him hatch a Shiny Eevee in under 20 eggs. Inspired, I flew down to the Daycare and put in my Japanese Gyarados(with Moxie) and some random Scraggy.

I may have missed one or two, but I'm at 536 and still going.

  11. ...I guess people sometimes do have it worse than me. I sorta...gave up I guess. I might go back into breeding more which will take me up into the 400's in terms of eggs. At this point in time I'm focusing on breeding some pokemon I got off of GTS to have good natures and IVs. So far my only success is a Gale Wings Fletchling with an Adamant nature and great IVs. Thats about it.

  12. Japanese Timid Anticipation Eevee get.

So when is Transfer supposed to be available?

  13. Man, that Pokemon Center birthday thing. o__o
    Impressive, though.

  14. So apparently, we get Poke Miles by putting Pokemon into PokeBank.

AS IF WE DON'T ALREADY HAVE ENOUGH OF THOSE BY THIS POINT!

  15. A new patch is available. Make sure to download it from eShop, as it's required to go online.

    --------------------------------------------------------------

More regarding Pokemon Bank has been revealed.

Apparently, you can choose to earn Battle Points rather than Poke Miles when you deposit Pokemon.
You can transfer entire boxes at a time from Gen V games.
PokeBank ignores a 3DS's region lock, allowing it to communicate with XY game cards of any region.
Pokemon can be withdrawn from the Bank for a short time after your trial period/annual fee ends. After that, they're lost forever.

    Aaaaaaaaaaaaand a video.

  16. So Serebii, PokeJungle, and WPM all have at some point added info regarding the event legendaries to their sites. And since WPM has listed a decent amount of information on them now, I figured why not? So, here they are again...

First off, we have Diance, the Jewel Pokemon. It is Rock-Fairy, and is #719 in the National Dex (#151 in the Central Kalos Dex). Its signature move is a physical Rock-type move known as Diamond Storm. 100 Base Power, 95% accuracy, and a chance of raising its Defense.

Up next we have Volcanion, the Steam Pokemon. It is Fire-Water, and is #720 in the National Dex (#153 in the Central Kalos Dex.... Wait a minute, what?!). Its signature move is a special Water-type move called Steam Eruption, which is basically a slightly stronger version of Scald. And apparently, it is related to the Lumiose City blackout. Hrm...

And last but not least, Hoopa, the Mischief Pokemon. It is Psychic-Ghost, and is #721 in the National Dex (#152 in the Central Kalos Dex.... Yeah, idk...). Its signature move is a special Psychic-type move called Hyperspace Hole, which, as badass as that sounds, is just another Shadow/Phantom Force.

  17. Wait Pokémon confirmed the legitimacy of those Pokémon? Been living under a rock here.

  18. Obviously not, seeing as their sites still haven't been updated with any of them or Zygarde. WPM just never made an article regarding them until yesterday.

  19. For those of you still without a Celebi, here's some good news for you. If you access Pokemon Bank before September 30, 2014, you will receive one to add to your collection.

This Celebi will be at Level 10, and will have the moves Recover, Safeguard, Heal Bell, and a new move called Hold Back. Hold Back is a move similar to False Swipe, leaving the opponent with no less than 1 HP.
